I’m waiting for my first pony hair bag to come in the mail (it’s a city) and I was wondering if Balenciaga ever actually released a pony hair weekender? The only photos I’ve seen were of Mary-Kate’s.

I got this beauty in the mail last week and I’m debating returning it I love her I’m just having issues with this new leather and was curious if anybody else was having these issues with the newer bags? There’s cracking and small bits of peeling happening

Heads up TPFers!

Someone stole Sam’s 03 Emerald First listing photos & description and posted it on Depop. I’ve reported the listing and have given Sam a heads up, but wanted to warn you all not to buy from here.

DO NOT BUY - FAKE LISTING

I’ll also post this in the chat about Finds thread for more visibility.

Argh! I went to report it also but don't see the 3 dots to the upper left that the "How to Report a Listing" article states. Can someone guide me through it?

@samfalstaff Heads up!

Good idea even though it’s a real PITA.

Depop has removed the listing. Appreciate all those that helped by reporting it.
There’s a lot of fake listings on Depop right now. A lot of these accounts are hacked I believe so they may actually have good reviews. I was fooled and the seller shipped something via China post. I have no idea if I will actually get something in the mail but I already reported them and hopefully I’ll get a refund soon.

May I ask how you knew you were fooled if you haven't received it yet? :flowers:

I asked the seller why the bag was being shipped from China when they claimed to be located in the us. They made up some excuse that they are working in China and that I will get my order in two weeks. It’s just all very shady. There are quite a few sellers that have a Balenciaga bag for sale, a camera, and some kind of designer shoe listing.

I know that there's been a lot of discussion about the darkened handles and their cause, especially the 2005 bags which seemed prone to darkening. After receiving what I assume is a brand new/never used Bordeaux from TRR, I think its pretty safe to say its definitely some kind of reaction from either the dye or the glue (or a combination of the two).

While this bag is about as close to mint condition as you can get, the handles are dark, but if you look closely, there's an unevenness to it, almost looks like color or glue ran, and the darkening extends all the way to the base of the handles. If it were caused by oils in the hands (as we all first thought), it wouldn't extend to the bases because who carries their bag by the base of the handles? I also don't think its natural patina because it would be even -- like a LV or Coach bag - and not just certain spots of the handles.

What do you think? Do you think it settles it once and for all that there's probably not much we can do about it?
