Here's all the things this bag is not: metallic leather; a (regular) City; vintage (was bought in 2019); has a 4 inch strap; made in Columbia; bronze hardware material; and I'm fairly certain this style/hardware combo does not have a "numbered metal plate" but a leather tag only. Doesn't matter, since we don't get a pic of it anyway!

It has been 8 painfully long days and she’s still looking dark in some areas. What say ye? Leave her alone and be patient? Throw her in for another spin? Just love and accept her as she is?

If the spots have lightened so far, I vote more time. I think of L.H. as similar to Vaseline. Not sure how much effect water will have on dissipating it, but fairly sure it will remove at least a bit more of the surface finish.

it‘s easy for me to say, but not sure I’d have the patience to tuck it away and hope. It’s a tough decision.

I wonder what using a different leather cleaner over top would do?

I think she looks great actually. I guess the darker areas are more visible irl. I'm with @Conni618 about the texture of LH. Never used it, but it does seem very potent and vaseline like. Another spin may cause the already stressed leather to further weaken (stitching and hw, too). But maybe that's just the wimp in me speaking, lol. I personally would leave her be for a while longer.
She is beautiful :girlsigh:

I’m waiting for leather CPR to come in the mail, was going to try it on a different light colored bag, might give it a try. I think I’ll give it another week and see how it looks…
If you do decide to wash again, there is no reason to put in the washing machine. That is going to be causing damage for no reason. You can wash her in the sink in soapy water.
