I believe their rationale is that it’s worth it to use the misleading photos and description. They are willing to tolerate the complaints and bad feelings from the minority of customers who fight, because so many will chalk it up to a bad experience and let it go.

I would cancel the sale with your cc if at all possible. This company is going to accept your next purchase regardless. JMHO.

and how much do you want to bet if @BBBagHag consigned it right back with tRR they'd offer a paltry amount because of "staining" and not just a little "patina"?

You’re probably right, but something tells me it’ll be a waste of time.

12 hour update: Its starting to dry towards the bottom and coming back to the regular color. Though I do plan to condition it when it’s all dry, I was rather worried about the stiff papery texture of the wet leather. The good news is the dry bit feels much more like the original silky feel. Ugh the suspense it killing me! Why does it take so long :girlsigh:

So I did a thing. Threw the rouge vif in the washing machine on delicate with one of those detergent eco strips. It looks promising! The stains are gone and the handles look so much better - but we will see how she looks when dry.

I'd just wet my pants and dissolve into a weeping mess.
This takes guts and you got em. Looks already so much better than before.
