Ooops. You have joined the unhappy surprise Leather Honey Club. :facepalm:I’m a member too and have ranted about it in my Eeyore way whenever I see posts extolling its magic.
The good news is, there is a chance that it will eventually dissipate beneath the surface making the stains less obvious or even disappear. The bad news is, it will take time and patience to see if this happens.

Yes, Im hoping it will disappear as it dries..

Looks like the leather honey brought out the imperfections, it does that sometimes. Rewash?

Is there a better option than Leather Honey for Bal bags, or will all conditioners do this?

@BBBagHag Thanks for updating your progress on this, I know I'm learning a lot! It looks like the wash helped a lot, and the bag has such a beautiful color.

I would use Leather CPR, maybe Blackrocks too. I only use Leather Honey for super dry bags, and sometimes I end up having to wash them again to get rid of all the imperfections the honey shows.

Let her sit for now. I used Leather Honey on a Rouille bag and it looked just like that. I threw it in a drawer and forgot about. A few months later it looked great. The spots that looked black absorbed into the leather. I would just let her sit ( I know it's hard ) and they should absorb fully. Next time use Blackrocks. I think she is going to look good.

Thanks. I ordered some red cord and red edge kote to clean up the handles so it’ll just sit until then. Hopefully it’ll look better by the time the handles are all done.
