I think the spots may eventually fade. Wish I could be certain. i don‘t know what it portends, but if you put your hand inside and run your fingernail firmly on the lining, beneath a dark area, you should see a temporary lightening of The leather right there. It could mean that you are dislodging the residual goop trapped in the leather.

So I guess I’m hoping that if you can move it, it’s not permanently locked in. :confused1:

im certain it the stains fade as the oil dries out - but it will take a while. The stains just look worse when darkened and will lighten up over time. I would not put it in the washing machine - that can't be good for its longevity! I used honey leather on my seafoam make up clutch and it looked so horrifying the first day, but it's been almost a year and it is back to its old, not so great looking state

The state of this bag was taking up waaayyy too much real estate in my mind so I washed it again - hand washed with mild soap. This is officially my final invention so fingers crossed it evens things out a bit.
I have two bags I got for almost next to nothing - one is a 12 mangue velo and one is the 04 seafoam clutch. My attempts to revive them were short-lived and mostly unsuccessfuly. I bought a renapur leather cleaner to clean the black dirt off, and it did nothing for those bags. Leather Honey was okay on the mangue because it is so glazed, but the seafoam i would say it made the color a bit more saturated, which was nice, but i had to put up with the darkened stains for a very long time, which was also fine, because it was shoved inside big bags and never really sees daylight. i will no longer buy dirty bags because i just dont have the patience to revive them.

I rehabbed a tangerine Bal that was so parched it took 3 coats of Leather Honey. I don’t have pics of that, but here are before and after of a Coach bag. It started out looking like a swamp thing. I thought she was a worn out olive bag, but no, she was black. I washed her in the kitchen sink and just used Dawn. Rinsed her until the water rinsed clear, then stuffed her with towels which I replaced daily until dry. Then 3 coats of Leather Honey and she has sat in closet for 3 yrs. I forgot I had her.

Aaarrrgh Poshmark is refusing to take back that fake bag I bought and insisting that it is authentic. Aside from escalating to credit card company, what kind of recourse do I have?
What reasons did you give them? Did you detail any differences between your bag and an authentic one of the same era? If you want help with that just PM me.

Sadly, they will stick to their inaccurate "authentications" even after you explain it to them, step by step, with pictures, why a bag is fake. They are just ignorant enough to call a fake real, and just arrogant enough to insist they're right every time.
Save yourself the headache and do a chargeback with your credit card.

I gave the seller reasons in a conversation that may be reviewed for investigation purposes. They sent me a certificate from Real Authentication with a certificate of authentication. I wonder how they were able to deem that authentic without pictures of the rivets or back of tag… I presume since I didn’t. Either way just sloppy. And now I have to waste my time communicating with RA. :cursing:
