Hi ladies, client services reached out to my store and the SA who sold me the bag texted me a short time later and asked me to send pictures. She said she had not heard of the Favorite having any issues...maybe her customers don't care about the ugly crease or notice it...I don't know, but it really disturbs me and ruins the look of the bag. It makes it look like a cheap knock off or something! I just took these pics right now and texted them to her. She said she would have to send the bag in for repairs...don't know HOW they're going to repair a design flaw...I am bringing it in tomorrow. I'm sooooooo sad, I love this bag. But I really think getting the same bag will just do it again. LV needs to redesign that plastic strip and make it go the entire way up the flap because the force of the magnet is causing the stress on the canvas.

Oh my. That looked just like mine did before I exchanged it.... It will only get worse as I have seen some really bad ones.
 
I really hope this won't happen to me as I already sold the original strap and I don't use this bag so often..so I hope this won't happen then when the guarantee is over.. how long is the guarantee 1 or 2 years? .. anyway if it happens I will save all the pictures here to show them that this is a common issue so I preciate if everybody who has this problem post a picture of it and how long it took the bag to develope the creases.. anyway I hope they will exchange it then even if I don't have the strap anymore

Yeah, I was surprised to go through my pics and see the small progression over the past year, because I've had the bag for exactly one year since last week (bought it Sept. 8, 2015.)
How long did it take to hear back? My SA said to me "I have not heard of any trouble with the Favorite at all." And I understand a lot of the other members heard a similar response. I told her that I have actually heard of many people who have had the same problem, but she had no response to that. I told her maybe she had not seen this problem in her store specifically but other people have the same problem. She asked me to text her pictures and she told me she was sending them to repairs to see what they say. I asked if I needed to bring it in so they could see it in person, but she said it wasn't necessary and my pictures would work just fine. I am just hoping that they don't come back to me with bad news saying they won't do anything. If that's the case I will bring it in and show them this thread of all the other people who were able to get an exchange.
Another thing that rubbed me the wrong way is after I told her I've noticed the problem for about six months, she told me that it might be hard to do anything considering it started that long ago and that I waited so long. But I responded back by saying that my reason for waiting is that I loved the bag and hoped the crease would go away. I also told her that when I bought my Artsy their store told me the creases would fade away after time, and that's why I was waiting to see if the same thing would happen for this bag, but that it only got worse.
1. Really wish she would have said to me "Oh, I'm sorry to hear your bag is having a problem, let me see how I can help."
2. Did not like hearing "I've never heard of the Favorite having problems at all." Implying I'm on a lone island and potentially did this myself? I almost don't care if other people have the problem or not, that should matter! It's MY bag having a problem. Other people having the same problem or not is irrelevant.
3. Did not like hearing " I can let them know that you noticed it 6 months ago, but it's hard since it's just coming to us now." So it's my fault I waited? I really dread EVER coming in after dropping a grand on a bag that starts to give me problems. I really WANT to enjoy my bag and enjoy the brand. I don't want to be coming in all the time with issues. I feel that the company should stand behind their product. If a bag has a design flaw, just make it right.

I have not necessarily heard of a specific guarantee… Can you tell us about what you heard?
 
Just found pictures in my phone with dates that prove when I took the picture.
The first one is from last September 15, just seven days after I bought the bag. You can see a wave starting above the brass plate:

The next is dated December 13, 2015, just two months of having the bag. The crease it starting to form:

I really hoped I wasn't going to be a customer in this position because I LOVE the bag, and did everything to ensure the crease wouldn't happen to me, but it happened anyway...[emoji17]
 
Oh wow, I did not know that!!! Did a SA tell you that?
I don't know if it's like that in the USA but it is like that in Austria or even in other EU countries

Repairing within one year is for free and if it is a defect they exchange it .. many brands offer this
Does LV charge for repairing within one year in the USA?
I'm not sure if its a guarantee or warranty which they offer within the first year..but the SA told me that they offer free repairing
I also exchange a bag because of a defect and got a new one ..my bag was more than one month "old"

Oh wow it seems like my bag looks like your bag in December but it looked like that from the beginning and it didn't bothered me.it is not visible on pictures

Yes, I actually thought the same as you. In the begining it was faint and didn't really bother me, but after I used it ok vacation the crease really became apparent and its just unacceptable now.
 
Everything is always case by case and its always a different outcome depending on the SA. And they alwaysssssass act like they've never heard of any issue with any bag. Lol. It's actually funny.

Yes you're right, it is case by case. Hopefully LV will start to realize that this is not a unique issue, and that it's a design flaw. It IS funny that they act like they've never heard of any issue with any bag. I'm sure that they're told to act that way, but what insulted me was when the SA said it was going to be "hard" because I noticed the issue about 6 months ago, and I'm just now coming to them...[emoji19]

Wow that's so sad I love this bag but I have to wait to see the creases more.. when I come with this problem to them they will say everything is normal and that they don't see any creases because it is not soon visible as it will be maybe in a couple of months..
