I purchased my bag preloved and had it exchanged at the store on Tuesday for the crease. I have made it a point to purchase preloved bags with a reciept only since I've heard they ask for them. They did take a picture of the receipt when they were accessing the bag and they kept it when I made the exchange.

I usually make it a point to buy preloved with a receipt too- and was going to go against my belief and purchase an expensive preloved item (speedy b empriente that's known to have issues with glazing at times) without one because it was discontinued but after reading this i take it as a sign. I would hate to spend 3k on a preloved item that LV wouldn't repair or spa without a receipt if a prob occurred.

Ugh I never knew about the crease. So what's the best way to store it I had it lying down on its back flat with nothing in it. They today I stood it up and put a little bubble wrap inside. Now I'm wondering if I should lay it flat with the bubble wrap? Ugh I do t want a crease what should I do?

The jury is still out on this.... I thought stuffed upright with something between flap and magnet to stop the magnet from adhering would work- but others tried this and had no luck. I do this and so far so good.

Who knows but the customer service guy I spoke to said that the bag should be stored with something in it eg tissue paper & standing up. Exactly how I've always stored mine & I still got the crease.

So I thought I'd get my Favorite MM out today as I've only wore it twice since I bought it from the boutique in April. And what I feared the most with this bag has happened..... the dreaded crease:sad:. Now I've been aware of the crease issue, was before I bought it but thought it may have only been an issue with the older make. I was sure to store it stuffed with felt between the flap & the bag standing up. So I was quite surprised to see the crease. I called LV customer service (I'm in Australia & live 2 hours away from the store). At first I was told that the crease happens when the bag isn't stored with anything in it. I told the assistant how I stored the bag & then he went on to say it's just what the canvas does. Let's just say I told him that that wasn't acceptable for a $1200 bag & he gave me an email to repairs to send pictures to & they would decide whether they could repair it. I'm so sick of lv acting dumb about this crease issue which from what I can see on this thread is quite common. I asked the Sa about it when I bought the bag in April & she said she'd never heard of that issue.

Sorry for the long post but can anyone tell me from recent experience what will happen? Even if they agree to change it over I don't know if i want to risk it happening again!! So annoyed right now :annoyed:
So update, customer service contacted me today & said they would replace my favorite. I'm happy that they didn't make it too hard for me but now I'm in a dilemma. I don't know whether to try another favorite bag or maybe get something else. I like this bag, although I have only used it twice in 6 months but it seems so high maintenance!!! Also what's to say the crease won't happen again? I really don't want to have to go through this process again. If I went for something different I'd look @ the pochette nm or maybe even the favorite pm, ( I don't think I've heard of any problems with this size, correct me if I'm wrong though). Can anyone please help me with my decision? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I think the cat is out of the bag now [emoji4] LV prob does recognize this as an issue now as quite a few people have brought theirs in. It's truly not wear and tear. I am so happy they did the right thing- usually they do. As for replacing the bag for another Fav MM- I did, but I regret doing so now, as I am always worrying about this bag still and it just requires too much storage maintenance for me, and that takes away most of my joy with the bag. I should have taken the credit and put towards something else, like that Lockme II BB that's been on my mind lately.
I stuck with the Fav because it truly is a beautiful bag, but this crease issue spoils it for me.

Hey
I'm still trying to decide what to do with replacing my favorite. I think @ the moment it's between the pochette nm & the favorite pm. Is anyone aware of any creasing issues with the mono pm? I can't remember seeing anything on here recently. Any input into what I should do would be appreciated. Thanks

Ladies, I'm so sad. I thought I had better luck with my Favorite, but like many of you, mine has also developed a crease. It started out faint at first, but has progressively got worse. I have tried bending the canvas flap the opposite way to smooth it out, but it's a temporary fix...within an hour of using the bag you see the dent again. I have done everything to keep this from happening to my bag! I've stuffed it with a clean hand towel to keep the shape, and stored it standing up, not flat. This is defiantly a design flaw! The strip of plastic that is between the magnet should be followed through on the entire flap to keep it from developing a crease. I'm so disappointed. I have avoided bringing it in and trying to see if I could fix it myself, but it's not a fixable thing; it needs to be redesigned. I just spoke to client services over the phone and they're letting my store know I'm bringing it in. I don't know if exchanging the bag would do me any good because it will most likely happen again. Will keep you posted. BTW, the CS rep. said he was unaware of this happening, but I told him it's a known issue...

I love how they keep denying it's a well known issue!!! I'm so sorry this has happened to you. I'm sure like most people this has happened to they will exchange it for a new one. I, like yourself did everything i could to store it right to try to prevent this from happening. It's obviously a design fault as it seems no matter what you do you can't prevent it. I was unsure of what to do regarding getting another one as I do love the bag but the thought of it happening again was a real turn off. But as it turns out there are none left in stock where I am so i will have to get something else. I'm undecided yet about what else I'll get but I'm maybe thinking of going with the pochette nm. I will see on thur sea when I get to the store. Goodluck with yours, let us know the outcome.

Please take a pic of your bag to document it here before taking it to the store. I encourage everyone who has this issue to do that so if they say it's not a defect u can show all the posts of the pics of the bags here as proof it's an issue.
My SA who is wonderful never heard of the issue till I showed her several pics of other Favorites that had creases- she was shocked and exchanged it instead of sending it to be inspected as she originally wanted to do.

Hi ladies, client services reached out to my store and the SA who sold me the bag texted me a short time later and asked me to send pictures. She said she had not heard of the Favorite having any issues...maybe her customers don't care about the ugly crease or notice it...I don't know, but it really disturbs me and ruins the look of the bag. It makes it look like a cheap knock off or something! I just took these pics right now and texted them to her. She said she would have to send the bag in for repairs...don't know HOW they're going to repair a design flaw...I am bringing it in tomorrow. I'm sooooooo sad, I love this bag. But I really think getting the same bag will just do it again. LV needs to redesign that plastic strip and make it go the entire way up the flap because the force of the magnet is causing the stress on the canvas.
