My SA said she never saw this before but I showed her a few pics of other purses from purse forum that had the crease- plus she saw how barely used mine was from the lack of patina and she knows I take really good care of my purses. I seriously doubt this is wear and tear as mine was barely used during the year that I bought it but that seems to be the standard response from LV.
Although she is really good to me, her first instinct was to want to send it off. She must have seen how disappointed I was and as a "one time courtesy" exchanged it.
Also, I seriously doubt anyone would drop this kind of $ if LV told us this was how the bag was going to wear after a year. Imo LV should really be embarrassed to say this is wear and tear after a year, because it shows the purse was not well made.
I am not an unreasonable consumer. I am not one to think that an expensive bag should last forever and remain in pristine condition. I understand scuffs and scratches but this crease is totally not wear and tear. At the very least your bag should last more than a year.
If they give you a hard time take a few pics of other purses with creases and show them. Then go above the SA/Mgr if you have to. I think the few bags with creases prob came from a bad batch because not everyone has the crease. My exchanged bag has no creases after several months and a few wears and I'm pretty happy with it.
Imo this bag is ruined with this crease which is an obvious (not to LV apparently) defect. Good luck.
Sorry this is so long.
