Ok, so they let me know I could swap it out for another one, but I wasn't comfortable getting another Favorite until they redesign the plastic insert, because ill just have the same problem another year from now.
So I got the classic Speedy 25 in monogram. I have always wanted this bag and knew I would get it someday. I used to have the 35, but always wished I went smaller, so now I've got it! I also have the Speedy 30 in DE, but there is something about the classic 25 in mono that just makes me feel so warm and fuzzy. Here she is:

I think ur pretty smart to have gotten something else. I should have. Silly me exchanged it for another one and now I constantly worry about this bag. If it does happen again, I hope my SA will realize it's a defect and let me switch it out to an Emp piece.

I think an Emp. is a good idea. I was worried they wouldn't let me exchange it for anything but a Favorite, but why would I? I didn't ruin my bag- if so may other people have the same problem, the issue is obviously with the design. I told the SAs I wasn't comfortable getting another Favorite, and they were fine with me getting something else.

That's exactly what I said to the SA. I told her this was the most high maintenance bag I own, and for canvas, that's ridiculous! Protecting the plate alone from scratching alone is a headache enough! I would just tell them you're not comfortable with the bag and it's giving you anxiety- you should enjoy your bag, and for the price it should look great.

Just feel the reinforcement on the ones at the store. Some only go up right past the gold plate and that's where they crease. Mine goes up much further and it doesn't crease IMG_1474039308.608628.jpg

I bought this bag in May 2015 for my daughter's 30th birthday. It didn't take long to see that terrible crease. I stopped into my local LV and talked to my SA. He said when I get home to send him photos of the bag to be reviewed. Within 10 minutes of sending him the pictures, he said he will mail a new bag out to me, in return for the "defect" one. The new one was made in March of 2016 and my daughter uses it about 90% of the time with no crease at all. I think it's a hit of miss.

Was the replacement bag also monogram print? Some ladies had mentioned here that the creasing occurs lesser on the ebene and azur bags. And the ebene favourite is on my wishlist. [emoji324]

Yes, the replacement was also monogram. The original bag was made in France. The replacement was made in USA. Goes to show not all made in France bags are more desireable.

This is exactly how my mm looked and it was also made in France. I'm hoping my replacement which is made in USA does not have any issues. It's really the perfect hands free bag. I suppose I will look into the Odeon if it does. The Eva is cute but the Chanel sunglass/eyeglass cases are annoyingly bulky.

I've seen the crease on the DE and DA, and let me tell you, it looks WORSE! Because the line is more noticeable on the squares. Look back probably 10 or 20 pages, you will see what I mean.

I've had myne for 6 months and use it 1-2xs per week for errands and I've had no issues. I haven't babied it, it's usually just hanging from a door knob when not in use. It was also made in USA

Why is I seem to find out about " well known" issues with a bag only after I buy one.....I've had mine for less than one month so I've not carried her much. I have the Damier Ebene...No creasing but I do find the magnet seems a tad weak...do bags with stronger magnets perhaps crease more. I think I still like my bag probably getting too late to return so I best make my peace with her. I have an Eva in the same print and I love how I can fit a bit more in the Favorite.View attachment 3469540
