Tan Towels are great!

I first heard of the Tan Towels from this thread. I ran to Ulta and bought a box of the med-dark full body towels. I followed someone's advise about applying moisturizer on my knees and ankles (to prevent dark spots there) and rubbed the towels in a circular motion, as instructed on the box. I have to say that I am really happy with the outcome. It gives a natural-looking light tan without streaks. But, I must admit that I smelled like self-tanner, even after I took a shower. The smell faded within 2 days though... but the tan remains! I highly recommend the tan towels. I just wish I could find more coupons for ULTA!

I love the Nivea tan towels  They smell sooo good and the tan is a very natural, healthy color

I'm usually a L'Oreal fan for their sun/tanning products but their tan towels gave me stripes. Still don't understand why as I never had that happen with any other brand :shame:

I would use them before bedtime so you can shower in the morning. I would recommend waiting 6-8 hours. You can get dressed about 60-90 seconds after application is complete. I usually wait two minutes though.

Hope they work for ya!

I tried the Tan Towels after reading about them on this thread. I love how there's no drying/ wait time prior to getting dressed. On the other hand, I find that my applications don't come out very even. I do the circular motions recommended here, and I think I go over every spot. But I end up always looking like I missed a spot. :(

Has anyone tried "On the Glow" Facial moisturizer? I bought some last week and was wondering if anyone has experienced break outs with this product? My skin is on the sensitive side.

Me too... I also ended up with a few areas not covered. I like that they are quick and that you can get dressed fairly quickly but for me they dried out quickly without being able to cover my body. I had to use 2 (probably should have used 3) towels for complete coverage. I smelled like self tanner for quite some time, like someone else mentioned even after showering. I wish the tan was darker even after multiple applications, but that might be because I'm so darn fair. The tan did last a good while for me which was nice and no splotches as it faded. So I'd probably use them again when I need to apply something quick, but I'd probably use my Mystic Tan spray or St. Tropez if I was looking for a darker color.

Just thought I'd pass this on to anyone interested. I try to buy cruelty free products as much as possible so I sent an email to Tan Towels regarding their policy on animal testing and purchasing materials from companies that test. This is their response:

Thank you for your inquiry. Tan Towel does not conduct animal testing on any of our products. We have not yet included the logo on our packaging. I hope this answers your questions.

Didn't answer my questions 100% but at least it's something.

I got to say I am a bit disappointed in these. i tried them Saturday night, I rubbed in circles all over my body and the next day, not only did I see a bunch of spots that I missed (I don't know how I missed, i went over and over areas), but, I barely looked tan (and I am light complexion and had bought the Tan Towel Plus for medium to dark skin) and, my hands look all weird even though I washed right afterwards.

So, last night, I did another towel, this time, I used gloves. i look a tad more tan, but still not that tan, and again, I see areas that I missed, though, again, I don't see how I could have!

i really wanted these to work , but I won't be buying them again. I guess I am just going to have to suck it up and go spend the money at the tanning salons for the spray tans.
