I've bought tantowels and I'm waiting for them to arrive.

How long does each tan last and how often do I have to apply to keep the color?

Someone mentioned about the tan coming off from sweating :shocked:. How many of you experience that? I exercise so I can't be streaking the whole time I'm working out.

Okay I just ordered some yesterday finally.
I was wondering if you ladies put it on your face too? Does it cause breakouts?
I bought a self tanner (Garnier) and I put a little on my face and I got crazy breakouts, which I definitely don't want to happen again.

I tend to use a towel on Sunday and it lasts through the week. I then do an intense exfoliation the following Saturday and use another tan towel the next Sunday. They seem to last me at least 5 or 6 days, I have never not exfoliated in between so I'm not sure how they work if you want to build color. As far as the tan coming off from sweating I have only had problems with the tan rubbing off where my sports bra hits around my rib cage. It is somewhat disappointing but in the grand scheme of things not super noticeable. HTH!

I haven't tried the Tan Towels yet, but I have recently been using Kate Somerville's 360 tanning towelettes and they're really great! They're easy to use; do the usual shaving, exfoliating in the shower and I use gloves when applying to my body. I think this works a lot better then just washing your hands afterwards. A quick swipe on my face gives it an awesome color too. After you find the best way to use them, I have to say the only thing I don't like is that smell! It's not as bad as cheaper stuff from the drugstore, but it is still there. It must be true about the smell and body chemistry working together because the reviews everywhere are so mixed about it. Strange. I ordered the St Tropez mousse because I've read/seen a lot of good reviews and I love trying new products. There are a lot more favorable reviews about this line not smelling as bad, so hopefully it doesn't and still works well. But, I really like having the towels despite the smell because they give such a pretty and natural looking tan and after showering later on it's basically gone. It's great having a tan when going bathing suit shopping I must say! :happydance:

I tried them on my face too and no brakeouts! :D

I used the tantowels twice so far and I'm kinda pleased with the results. The only thing I'm having difficulties with is my hands. How do you wash them so that your palm won't get orange PLUS your hands won't stay white either? I try to only wash my palm but I can't stop water from going onto my hands too lol.. and my hands look like I have a skin problem or something.. eww. Anybody got a great technique or tips to avoid this?

^ I'm glad you like them! I only have problems with my wrist and elbows. They tend to turn orange. What I do is lather lotion on the parts I don't want to turn too dark and that seems to help! Just remember to wash your hands immediately after! Or use the lotion technique if you still want the top of your hands tan. :)

I used a Tan Towel yesterday and it turned out really well, quick, not too stinky, and streak free. Reminded me why these were a HG last summer! If you're on the fence about these I know Bluemercury--and I think a few other places--sell single towels, an inexpensive way to test drive them.

^^I always do my hands and feet last so there isn't too much tanner left on the towel, but when it comes time to use the towel on my feet I do the largest part of my foot first and then very carefully go over every single toe. It may seem a bit tedious, but it seems to work.

Mine finally came from drugstore.com. I ordered the Tan Towels Plus in 1/2 body and the Moisturizing Gradual Self Tanning Lotion. Going to test it out either tonight or tomorrow night for my bday! Hopefully wont look orange! Wish me luck!
