My ring totally belongs here. I felt weird posting my tiny ring on the other thread, but you know how it is when you get engaged.

My ring was something I picked out b/c I didn't want too go to big or too pricy, and at the time I wasn't too much into specs. hee hee.. I told my DF that I want to get another ring in 5 years, but I'm thinking aquamarine (his birthstone) with a cluster of diamonds.

Anyways, here is my ring. It only totals up to .75, and I have no idea how big the middle diamonds are.

What a stunning ring! Love it. So delicate and elegant. Gorgeous!

Thanks Karo, my FMIL said the samething, delicate and understated (is that a bad thing) :shrugs: But I love it.

Ha ha Goldentouch, I look at it in the light and I'm in awe with the shine. ha ha.

I've been putting it off for a while but I am back in the habit of looking for diamond studs again.

I'd put my money in the best cut so that they are super sparklers. You could get an F VVS2 and still be rocking some beautiful stones.

This is exactly what I might do. I am set on the size, cut (being the highest) and F colour. Now I just need to figure out the clarity.

For a while, I was considering VVS1 but now I'm considering VVS2. Is there much difference between the two? Is it worth forking out the extra money for VVS1 or is VVS2 decent enough?

All the rings are lovely so I decided I would add mine :)! Center stone is not big, 3/4 ct but I love it!

beautiful rings ladies! wear them in good health.

Ladies, I need some advice!

I want to start planning my next jewellery purchase which will be a pair of 1ctw diamond studs.

So far I have come across a 1ctw, ideal cut, D-E colour, VS2 clarity, 4 prong set in platinum with screw backs. Is US$3730 a decent price?

Should I sacrifice a bit of colour for higher clarity or keep it as it is?

you don't need a high clarity stone especially for studs. now with rings, you need to be a bit more careful, but can go down in clarity easily if you know what to look for (eye clean).

focus on cut cut cut...trust me VVS anything just means more $$. you can even go down in color, to a G, but some people are more color sensitive. i think G, H and even I are great color choices but that's all subjective.

i just purchased studs and they're SI-1- totally eye clean and have a great cut.

^ your ring is lovely!

with tiffany rings, you just "know" even without saying where it comes from. so awesome!

I have to say, I'd sacrifice size for the tiffany's setting and quality!! Your ring is a perfect example... it is so elegant and beautiful!!!

This is a great thread and ALL the rings on it just stunning... it is so easy on a forum like this to feel like it has to be huge to be special and clearly that's not the case!! Thanks for bringing attention to the lovelies of all sizes! My original e-ring was .80 carats but F colour and just beautiful... I'm now a bit bigger at 1.26 but have definitely learned it's not all about size!! :) I'd have taken any one of the stunners at Tiffany's - so much sparkle!!

Well I'm getting divorced but I really do love my set - I'm selling it now.

It's a 0.62 ct round brilliant cut solitaire, and the band is 11 channel set diamonds at 0.25 ctw.
