The center stone is .49 ct and total weight of the side stones and wedding band is a little more than a carat...I love it because he picked it out for me...We orginially were going to pick it out together but he surprised me on my birthday this year with a proposal! So sweet!

I love my ring, that is slightly under a carat. We got a good quality rather than going for a larger ring. I definitely would like to have a large arsed rock, but when mine is clean it is beautiful.

I think we all have beautiful rings, small or not.

Center stone is .80 CT round brilliant and side stones are .19 CT, all set in white gold with plat. prongs, of course. Long before I got engaged, I decided I wanted a stone only around 3/4 of a carat. It's a more flattering size for my small hands and frame. Bigger is better, but not in my case.

What a fabulous setting! You must all have very small fingers, when I posted my 1.28 ct, my big ol' fingers (7-3/4) made my diamond look like all of yours.

All of your diamonds are gorgeous! And way more classy than something gaudy (think - some OTT celebrities' chunks of ice)

Beautiful rings! The wedding band is really unique--was it custom made?

thanks for the compliments! the set is from a local jeweler here and even though DH was ready to get me a diamond channel set band, i wanted something unique, without diamonds to worry about and wasn't just a "band." this caught my eye immediately at the showroom. i believe Tiffany's had a similar band, but with three vines intertwined instead of two.

both pieces were custom made and DH picked out the e-ring himself! so proud:love:

I had it custom made in Chicago at a local jeweler in Chicago's diamond district. :D
I got my first ering in Chi town at a wholesale jeweler friend of my dad's about 35 years ago. I think the name was Tucker Lowenthal, is he still in business? (I'm sure it would be a family member by now). Anyway, I have many diamond rings but my favorite is my three stone ring- a .65 center and two .45 sides all in emerald cut 18K yg. I love it best because my DH picked it out, it looks best on my finger and I think that smaller diamonds sparkle more! Isn't that what we buy them for?

This is my wedding set, it's a .56 diamond engagment ring with another .50 in tiny diamonds for the wedding band, all set in platinum. I don't think my hands could handle a huge diamond.

This is a lovely thread! I have to post mine. I have a 1.07 round VVS1 G color set in platinum. We have grappled with upgrading to a 2 carat but the color and clarity of this one is so beautiful, I would want the exact same and at 2 carats it would be over $35K, I just cant justify it.....but I am thinking of changing the setting to a halo, will post pictures in a bit. All of your rings are lovely!!!!
