you don't need a high clarity stone especially for studs. now with rings, you need to be a bit more careful, but can go down in clarity easily if you know what to look for (eye clean).

focus on cut cut cut...trust me VVS anything just means more $$. you can even go down in color, to a G, but some people are more color sensitive. i think G, H and even I are great color choices but that's all subjective.

i just purchased studs and they're SI-1- totally eye clean and have a great cut.

I agree my ring is vs2 but excellent cut and g colour and you cannot see anything!!

Lots of beautiful rings here!

Where I originally come from, 0.50 ct would be considered a very generous size. My 0.82ct would be bordering on ostentatious and anything over 1ct is just sci-fi stuff from outer space :laugh:

I'd loooove a big whopper of a diamond but for my lifestyle it's just not practical. I'd hate to live in constant fear, thinking I'll be mugged at any given opportunity.

Here's a picture of my precious combination. Both from Tiffany&co. The solitaire is 0.82ct, I colour and IF clarity. (click the pic to get it bigger)
