I was on fence with both to begin with. Love the light oak but always been on fence with luggage as I feel there's a hint or orangeish undertone and black seemed boring to me. Now really boring with no stamping on hardware. I would rather put even this sales price to a Louis Vuitton. I'm going to return both and call Nordstrom as soon as they open here shortly to see if their hardware is stAmped. I should have thought to buy there any way As they price match, double points this weekend and they have the best return exchange policy and these bags have issues as we all know.I agree it definitely cheapens the aesthetic and design, which is why I had my original repaired instead of replaced with a new one. Let us know what you decide to do!
Thanks ! Will look !Sorry I found it, it's under the TB chat thread, go back to post #402, I don't know how else to link you there.
Shoot! Nordstrom doesn't have stamping on any hardware either as told me tb is a top seller do they never retain old stock. I'm not sure if I will return it as I can find preloved for same price but to go through authenticity and locating and whatnot for stamping seems like work. Disappointed and may take a day or two to think about as have a month to returnI had issues with my York tote and they offered to exchange it for me but I kept it and just sent it in for repairs because of the lack of detail on the new ones. It's a personal decision but regardless you know your bag is authentic and if it's the new direction TB are moving in, there will be other people carrying the same updated York tote.
Yeah, I'm sad I waited this long as kept going back and forth as the quality issues made me nervous. Read negative so many negative reviews online. Thankful I bought the light oak at Nordstrom this past spring so got one with stamped hardware at least but should have bought the luggage and black then too! Why would tb eliminate stamping?! They had to know would be a let down!Really, it will be difficult to find one with stamped hardware and it was one of the top bags faked.
It wasn't the most intelligent move on their part but I'm sure cost effectiveness played a part.Yeah, I'm sad I waited this long as kept going back and forth as the quality issues made me nervous. Yeah I'm not that big a fan of the York tote. I just loved that soft nude pink color. And it comfortably fits my laptop do an ok work bag. I'm so undecided to keep or not. The black and luggage... Without the stamping bugs me more. If I were to keep just one of the two knowing I also have the light oak, which one should I keep? Ha. Appreciate an opinionI have the light oak I bought it last summer I'll have to look if the hardware is stamped. i don't use it much, I find the strap to be too thin for comfort.

Ha! Yeah I agree but the SA pushed the brown as said is year round and matches all. She also said the new trend is no logos when I flipped over no stamping on hardware. I thought I would get black but when I put it on was undecided as looked just like any old black tote then she said the luggage was great. For 206.00 plus tax each I walked out with both really conflicted. They seem boring to me yet I loved that light oak one and used it off and on for work this summer. My personal choice would be black, brown is just not as easy to match as far as I'm concerned.
Both are great neutrals but I'd say it greatly depends on your wardrobe - what kinds of leather/neutrals are part of your wardrobe when it comes to other accessories such as shoes, belts or watches? Both are great year round colours so if keeping both is an option (especially at that price) that would be my pick.Yeah I'm not that big a fan of the York tote. You don't find the York tote boring at all? Sorta looks like any tote and I struggle with keeping both as a result. But I really see the light oak one I have first as practical and sleek, whereas I never fell in love with the black or luggage so I do the "should I return and apply that to a monogram Neverfull or keep? " I bought them two days ago simply because of price and the York tote used to be excluded from this 30 percent off sale. Guess saving on lack of engraving on hardware allowed for the cost reduction, hence the sale now applies! Ugh, maybe I will just keep them and not worry about them when I throw around for work....
