I haven't forgotten about your Bal bags either! I can't even imagine having 7 acres to look after. It's just coming into Spring here, and I have spent the last few week-ends weeding and mulching my front garden on my 1/4 acre block. That was exhausting enough, and I know all the weeds will just be popping back up soon enough. It's nice to see the spring time flowers, and I have a few lizards living in my garden and they like to watch me work!
I hope you have a ride on mower, or maybe you could consider some sheep or goats to help keep the grass down??? As long as your dogs wouldn't mind
I have a riding tractor with a 50in blade. It takes me about 4 hrs to mow with tractor, then another 90 minutes with the hand mower. Then there's the flower beds to mulch and weed, it's endless. I have a herd of deer I feed, but they don't eat much grass ( they prefer my flowers! ) I keep telling my dogs they need to start doing yardwork. I don't know if I have ever seen a Coach Musette bag, did you find it on Ebay?

Yes, it was on Ebay. I'll post pictures when she arrives. I think Ledobe had one in the rehab thread a while back. It's an NYC bag, a larger one with two front pockets under a flap closure with two turnlocks and a nice wide strap.

My husband has been traveling a lot this summer, so I've been doing a lot of the maintenance on our HALF acre, and it's keeping me way too busy. I can't even imagine taking care of as much land as you are.

How did the Cashin bag you bought from Neko turn out? Were you able to make any headway with the stain? I so lust for that handbag!!!

Coffee&Coach suggested emu oil first up, but I have used it as well. Your musette made me want one. It's nice how we all inspire each other!

My Musette is another one I haven't posted "afters" of, her "grease spots" got darker after cleaning, and y'all know I'm aggressive about it so I don't think there is anything else to do but live with them. It is such an awesome bag though I kinda don't care. She's kind of a "pinto" bag, I forget who else had a spotty bag but that's what she's turned out to be.

Good to see you Jen, aren't you the one who originally suggested the emu oil? I think that may have saved a couple of my bags. It's worked better than anything I've tried for restoring really dry leather. I can't wait to see your musette!

I really look forward to fall! We had a mild winter last year ( was wonderful after 2 hard winters ) and I started mowing in April. Usually I don't start til mid or late May. I figure I have til Halloween at this point, not too much longer...

OMG! I DIE! She looks like she was never used, can you contact Bonnie Cashin archives and find out if she is real???

Thanks! Based on the creed and serial number format, I think that bag is from the mid 1980s, after Cashin left Coach (but it does look like a Bonnie Cashin design, doesn't it?) I love the big kisslock.

I might try asking Coach for help but they usually aren't able to offer much assistance with vintage bags. The bag is in very good condition especially since I think it is about 27 years old!

They should be able to help, just might not want to. Remember they have a guy in charge of the Coach archives? It's a sin it's not Hyacinth, her depth of knowledge is incredible!

It was my little Watson that you dubbed "Pinto!" And I still giggle when I think about it...
