My first Italian bag! Freshly authenticated by Hyacinth as a Sonoma Flap. I love it! Gray is my all time favorite neutral, so this bag will get a lot of use. And...even better...no rehab needed. It's ready to move into right out of the box. The nubuck seems to be pretty hearty.

eehlers, the gray color is beautiful. We are "almost" bag twins. I have this bag in dark green, but mine was made in Costa Rica. Glad you can use her without any rehab needed.

I found sneakers and a bag at a yard sale! Ignore the Vera scarves and suede 3/4 length gloves. The bag is still being authenticated.(done, and its a Slim Duffle Sac from 2000)

OMG, I have tht exact same bag, only instead of a yard sale, I got it at Macy's. It's a great bag - roomy, yet hugs your body when you wear it cross body. I wish I had several in different colors. I also wish I'd bought it at at yard sale instead of Macy's!

Pretty. I thought you had said she was from the early 90's but she is from 1999. I didn't even know that Coach was still making bags in Italy then. The leather is in amazing condition! I love that zipper pull. It has a deco look.

I think we can put down any dates that I get wrong to me being such a newbie at the Coach documentation thingie. I'm going to start a spreadsheet for my collection, so I keep up with the details as I find them.

Thank you for the compliments on my first Italian. I"m so pleased with her. I LOVE deco look.

She is going on a trip with me next week and I will take her to a show and a concert. I think she will fit right in.

I do remember the Coach website used to be so horrible and useless. But maybe because at the time I worked in web design and development so I was a bit hyper critical of usability!

It took a looooooooong time for big companies to get on board with having a website that actually works rather than just "looks pretty." My pet peeve is still the "all Flash" commerce site, UGH. Anyway, off topic!

I think that the color of our bags is much prettier than that sample. It seems so elegant. The Gracie strap attaches differently than most bags so not only would you have to find a Madison strap in the right color, but you would have to find one that was made for a Gracie.

I think it might be just differences in the photography that sometimes the beechnut bags look darker and other times they are more golden. I keep an eye on the italian bags offered for sale on ebay and I think that my Gracie is beechnut and her sister Royalton is the exact same color - pic below:

But maybe we should ask Hyacinth if there was a darker brown and a more golden brown?

Yay - we're bag 'cousins'! :) I love Costa Rica bags and the dark green sounds lovely - perfect for fall/winter.
