It is kind of small but I am hoping that it will satisfy my desire for a new Willis since it looks so much like it. I don't need any more bags. I have to stop looking! I find myself buying bags just for the rehabbing challenge.

I LOVE the post pouch! But it's just too small for me to carry. I tried another vintage bag maker's nearly IDENTICAL bag before committing the $ for a post pouch. (it was the littie aigner post pouch look alike...exact same measurements) and it was just too small. So sad. And I already have too many other purses that I seem to look at and not carry enough. I'm trying to maintain SOME sort of self control. It's rare when that happens believe me.

It's "just big enough" small for me. It's a little bigger than my Winnie, and doesn't turn upside down on her head like the Winnie does. Honestly, I have to remind myself to use one of my other smaller bags because I always want to grab this one when I want something small.

I carried it yesterday because I knew I was going to have to take a long hike across campus-and I needed an excuse to carry it. I had some big stuff to bring into the office so I also had my big Lightweights tote with me, but I had something to grab and go for my walk.

It's not an every day bag but it carries the essentials comfortably. But I passed up the Aigner bag when I saw it on eBay because I had the post pouch, in fact I had the self control not to put it in my watch list. Not to mention I passed up the red post pouch! (I'm kind of proud of myself for that!)

Ooh, red! I love red but I definitely don't need any more small purses in red - I have the satchel, an Abbie, a Laura, an Ergo and the geometric!

ya know how sometimes you find a bag that you really LOVE so much that you have to have one in every color? Most of us have been there with more than one purse style. Well, along with the Leigh and the Poppy Willis, this is probably one of my FAVORITE bags so far. I want a pink and a blue one now, and I'd have not waited this long for one but they are really so pricey. There's nothing I DON'T love about it: The shape, (a little structure with a little slouch) , the strap length, the KISSLOCKS, the Legacy stripe lining, it's a gorgeous soft SUEDE, and the COLOR GREEN!! And, instead of the average $150 to $300 I've seen online, she cost me $76. I have a little bit of surface touch up cleaning to do, but I can live with it! I am SO HAPPY !! The seller is trying to find the hang tag for me which would bum me out if she can't find it but she seems really nice. Bleecker Haversack in (I think) asparagus green, style # 12797.

Very nice, a great bag for fall! The color is so nice!

:D you should have seen me try to stuff the larger wallet that I MUST have to make that post pouch look alike work for me!! It just WOULDN'T GO. Because of my job, I get paid nightly in cash ( no, I'm not a stripper LOL...I work in a busy barbershop, so being "self employed"= daily pay type thing) and I cannot make a small wallet work for me with that wad of tip money!! But all these reminders of how much I love the post pouch, I might try something else, like a wristlet or something that is thinner and flexible and just loosely put my credit cards in it rather than a structured bulky big wallet. I love the freedom and lightness that a small bag brings!!

I think they are rare. Even when I look at most of the vintage listings, I haven't seen many. This one was called "Brown Classic Coach Bag" and I got it for $25 plus shipping. It had a dirt spot on the front that I had to camouflage with paint, a small dent near the top that looks like a stain, and some wear on the edges. Here is what it looks like now. I am going to do a few coats of Blackrock but I am happy with how it came out.

btw this gal looks really gorgeous! Sooooo CUTE!!!!

Duh...I posted this in the Rescue and Rehab thread and forgot to post it here!! Here is awesome find on ebay - for a whopping $28 with shipping! Thanks to Hyacinth, I learned she is the Lenox bag as was likely made in 1992 or 1993 (making her right at that cusp of vintage status). I have never seen this style before, but I absolutely love it!!

And - this bag came to me in amazing condition - by far, the most well cared for used bag I've ever purchased. There's not a scuff or scratch on her anywhere and she is amazingly clean. She is a bit squished and flattened (I think from her trip across the country in a priority flat rate box), so she'll be getting a dunk to reshape her.

Size is great - able to hold a touch more than the City Bag (it's a little taller) with that great functional front pocket, similar to what the Station Bag has.

Very cool!!! It's nice to find and learn about a new bag! Sounds like the perfect sized bag!
