There's an adorable little consignment store/boutique near me that I love and she charges way more than I can afford...but...I love to take my things there to sell. I came in to pick up my left over summer stuff from her, and she said I had a $20 balance I could use if I wanted anything. I see that she has this beautiful red $66 Lafayette Soho Tote marked HALF PRICE , plus this little matching coin purse at half off making it only $7.50. That's math I can work with!! So I was able to walk out the door with these two for $23 total. (and two bags full of summer bags/shoes that didn't sell and now I have even more stuff here to trip over...oh well)

This is a bag I'm going to really want to fix up, desperately. She has one issue (2nd photo) that on its own, doesn't bother me, but I"ve had bad luck washing red and having the bag fade JUST ENOUGH to make the stained spot seem MORE prominent. (I'm scared!!!) It looks like a surface scratch IRL, but the photo makes it look like a water line, and frankly it could be a little of BOTH. But unlike almost any other vintage red bag I've found, I want this one to WORK!!! She's a nice large size. The coin purse didn't have its hangtag, and its ball chain was replaced with a silver split keyring but I can restore it back to brass.

I love that little coin purse!

ya know how sometimes you find a bag that you really LOVE so much that you have to have one in every color? Most of us have been there with more than one purse style. Well, along with the Leigh and the Poppy Willis, this is probably one of my FAVORITE bags so far. I want a pink and a blue one now, and I'd have not waited this long for one but they are really so pricey. There's nothing I DON'T love about it: The shape, (a little structure with a little slouch) , the strap length, the KISSLOCKS, the Legacy stripe lining, it's a gorgeous soft SUEDE, and the COLOR GREEN!! And, instead of the average $150 to $300 I've seen online, she cost me $76. I have a little bit of surface touch up cleaning to do, but I can live with it! I am SO HAPPY !! The seller is trying to find the hang tag for me which would bum me out if she can't find it but she seems really nice. Bleecker Haversack in (I think) asparagus green, style # 12797.

Guess what happened today? I loaded up my lightweights soft satchel and the zipper broke! Now she doesn't seem like such a great bargain. I asked at my Coach store today and the manager said that I could send it in for repair. She said since it is hardware, they might repair it. I have another thing to send off too, so I might as well. I didn't have it with me, though, so it will have to wait.

What? Two broken zippers in these bags? That's a bummer. Hope they fix it for you.

That is a little strange...mine is just off track. What happened on yours Whateve?

I love that bag! I have it in pink and have been looking for it in the turquoise and green (but I'm on a ban!). I talked myself out of a badly listed brown one a few months ago that went pretty cheap.

Here's my reveal, I found one new with tags for $150. Being the nerd that I am I included an informational blurb on haversacks on page 3-lol!

I posted a spiel about how much I love this, but I must have not hit "submit". So cute, I can't wait to see how she comes out.

I was in an actual Coach store today asking about working there...Need to go back with a resume but they are definitely hiring soon for Christmas so cross fingers I can get a part time job at Coach to pay off school debts!

Now while I was there I was terrible and tried on a bunch of bags and am really in love with the Willis. Are the new ones the same size as the vintage ones? I really can't be spending that kind of money on a bag right now, especially to buy new, so am going the vintage route again and will search ebay until I find one in my price range if the vintage ones are the same size.

your reveal was awesome. It was on my HG list!! I'd been watching this style of bag for awhile and I do LOVE that pink. I thought $150 was a great price, and I hardly ever even see them THAT low! especially like new!! I may have seen the brown one you are speaking of, or another one that was cheap, but I noticed a photo discrepancy and found out that the seller had stolen photos from another seller so I didn't trust it and I backed away. somebody bought it. I think they actually did own the bag legitimately, because the same thievin seller then listed yet another brown one, but this time with a new set of photos...so not sure what happened to her first buyer unless there were 2 bags involved. -- I am not into dark brown as much as blues and greens.

There are some great size comparison reveals on this forum.

Here's a great one!
And the poppy Willis is one of my truly absolutely FAVORITE bags. I carry the old one as well as the new one a lot. They are able to handle about the same amount of stuff.

Here's the funny thing - now it seems to be fine, but I swear that it got stuck at one point and when I tried to pull it past that point the teeth didn't catch - meaning that it was supposed to close but it remained open. I thought that one of the teeth might be bent. I have had zippers do this before but I have never seen one repair itself!

I love this bag! Every time I see one on Ebay, I always get outbid. I actually think this might work better for me than the Leigh. Is it smaller?
