My first Gramercy authenticated by Demram! hooray!!
I think it was assumed to be a possible fake or else it would have been much more but they had it marked at $22.50 and I got it for half off so: $11.25!! In pretty good shape..but does need a bit of surface and lining cleaning to be done.

I love telling back stories ...haha...so, its the last weekend to get stuff at half off at my favorite thrift chain. I"ve scoured the close by stores in local stores (as posted here this weekend), and decided to take a drive to one that's about 45 mins away...was not expecting much since this store is always picked over badly, but was hoping to at least get some like new school jeans for my son. I looked in the usual primo purse section behind the counter, where it's usually over priced -and couldn't spot ANYTHING. And their stuff is on a far away back wall that you can't see well, and you have to ASK if there's anything there, which bugs me! I asked the girl at the register if there was anything with Coach on it. She goes does a quick glance and goes "nah, pretty sure it's all gone". I walked away, then walked back. I then spotted a Brighton purse and it was an ok price with the coupon so I got it for $20. Then... I see the brass feet of the underside of a bag on a hook behind 4 other black bags...I asked the other employee to just let me have a look at it. He got close enough for me to see that texture on the leather, then I saw the brass tag...and I said out loud ..."NO WAY!!! " Glad I didn't take that other gals word for it LOL. It's been a good Coach week!!
You have had a good Coach week!! Is this an "Italy" edition?!?!?!

This is just BEAUUUTIFUL...all "grown-up" like. Something new for me to look for :) Congrats!

So my sister moves back to school on Sunday...I hope there is time for thrifting since my parents are stopping here first to drop off more of my things and I am going with them to drop her off. The Value Village is the good one so I'm crossing my fingers we have time to fit in some thrifting before they want to leave!
Honestly I was hoping Toronto would be so much better for thrifting and so far I haven't really found anything worth it. I mean yes they have good stuff but the mark up is insane on anything remotely "name brand" :( Only one pair of pants in the two months I have lived here! Tomorrow I have to go see about getting a student metro pass so I think Thursday I will take the streetcar and check out the Value Village in the east end of the city. If I go right after work it's about a 15min street car ride, since where I work is close to the street I need to take, but if I go from my place it's about a 45min-1 hour bus and streetcar ride. Need to plan it on a night that I can just go directly there from work to make the trip shorter.

I am not at all familiar with Toronto but I found links to local thrift stores at the site below. I hope one of them is near you and nice?

I got this little Sheridan in the mail, just love her! She is up for authentication right now.
She will nicely carry my cell, keys, id/credit card and some lip gloss :) She has a long strap to wear crossbody. She has some lining issues, some ink and some little slits that will require a little work.

I really like the Sheridan line and I think I want to collect them all! :graucho: Anyone happen to know where I can find a guide to the whole line?

Cute bag!! I too like the Sheridans , Dakotas and Sonomas. I know Hyacinth could help. She wrote this guide which kind of introduces you to the idiosyncracies of the bags (some were from Italy) and talks about the Sheridan, and Sonomas, etc. This guide saved my Glenwood from a landfill LOL. I was convinced it was fake, then I stumbled on this guide and immediately pulled the bag out of the trash/fake bag pile.

I'm hitting up the value village that is on that list Thursday :) The others I will have to hunt down...I've been going to goodwill and salvation army thrifts so far and I found Coach shoes at the one goodwill but they were behind the case and had a laughable price for second hand. This place is close to the ritzy area so I figured it would have more designer and it does, but it's all in the case and all really highly price. They also had signature Coach bags too but also in the case and I'm not into the fabric bags. I need to find places that either don't know brands, or don't care and slap a cheap price tag on them  Most of the places on that list people say are expensive. I'm cheap...so I need to find a cheap place to shop like the Value Village where my sister lives! I'm not sure they are as brand aware since I got my Fendi sweater for 9.99. I need to find a place like that here in Toronto!

She said it is a Durham Mini bag. I asked if there was a compiled list of all them somewhere, but alas, there is not. I think we should make it our goal to collect all of them that we possibly can and put it together ourselves :graucho:

not a bad idea. I wonder if there were just TONS of styles or if it stayed reasonably minimal enough to find a good way to do that!
