Amazing finds, congratulations!

My first Gramercy authenticated by Demram! hooray!!
I think it was assumed to be a possible fake or else it would have been much more but they had it marked at $22.50 and I got it for half off so: $11.25!! In pretty good shape..but does need a bit of surface and lining cleaning to be done.

I love telling back stories ...haha...so, its the last weekend to get stuff at half off at my favorite thrift chain. I"ve scoured the close by stores in local stores (as posted here this weekend), and decided to take a drive to one that's about 45 mins away...was not expecting much since this store is always picked over badly, but was hoping to at least get some like new school jeans for my son. I looked in the usual primo purse section behind the counter, where it's usually over priced -and couldn't spot ANYTHING. And their stuff is on a far away back wall that you can't see well, and you have to ASK if there's anything there, which bugs me! I asked the girl at the register if there was anything with Coach on it. She goes does a quick glance and goes "nah, pretty sure it's all gone". I walked away, then walked back. I then spotted a Brighton purse and it was an ok price with the coupon so I got it for $20. Then... I see the brass feet of the underside of a bag on a hook behind 4 other black bags...I asked the other employee to just let me have a look at it. He got close enough for me to see that texture on the leather, then I saw the brass tag...and I said out loud ..."NO WAY!!! " Glad I didn't take that other gals word for it LOL. It's been a good Coach week!!

I love grammercy bags, great find! Is that the grammercy zip, same as mine, or is it a different member of the line? I am sure that it will rehab well, congratulations!

Oh wow! You have had a good Coach week :smile1: Congrats on the Gramercy!

Yes, the very same Gramercy Zip 7001; there's a catalog pic of the bag from Hyacinth at the link below. It cost $278 in 1998 which, according to the inflation calculator, is equal to $398 in 2012; so it was an expensive little bag when it was released.

"$278.00 in 1998 had the same buying power as $388.94 in 2012. Annual inflation over this period was 2.43%."

Yay! My navy blue Watermelon Tote from the late 70s has arrived and I love it! Bought it on Etsy:

In great shape for its age! Only issue is some of the leather has come away under one of the handles. May try some acrylic paint to cover it up. My only concern is if dunking it may cause issues with that handle, but she definitely needs reshaping.

In the next post I'll share the special bonus - all the original paperwork!!!

Here's the paperwork with its little drawstring bag:

And here are pics from the mini catalog from 1977. Recognize some of these gorgeous ladies?

You know you're a compulsive vintage coach shopper when:

You have 6 of the 9 bags listed in that catalog. And I'd bet someone here has them all. :)

That is such a cool find! Does it happen to list the colors available?

Lol! Someday I hope to score all 9!

No colors provided. Just the black and white shots with names and model numbers. They all look so wonderfully gorgeous with such smooshy, fab leather. Love them all, but especially aching for that Large Courier Pouch!
