Shouldn't take it personally but..hit buying limit?

I returned an item last week which put my 30 day total back to 5 items. I tried to purchase a mp last night but it got canceled. My returned item still counted towards my 6 for the month. I’ll update when I am able to purchase again, or if the return should somehow no longer count against me.

Thank you so much!!

I’ve also sent in three items for return because of product defects and I’m awaiting for my refund. When I had called in earlier this week they had told me that it would take approximately 14 days for LV to issue a refund and another 3-5 business days to see the refunded amount in my bank account.

Thank you so much!!

I’ve called CC a few times and each time I’ve received a different response. Initially I was told that it would take 4 weeks for the purchase limit to reset. The second time a different CC told me that she was not aware of this purchase limit rule and finally the last CC I had spoken to told me the only way to make any purchases would be to go into an LV store near me (which is difficult and unsafe to do considering the pandemic going on).

My oldest purchase was made exactly one month ago. I had tried to make some online purchases earlier today (AM) but it didn’t go through. However, it might have been because my oldest purchase was made later on in the day (PM).

If the items in my wish list becomes available and I’m able to make a successful purchase, I will be posting an update

My oldest purchase out of the 6 items was bumped off the list last night because it has been 30 days. However, my purchase did not go through last night or this morning. I’m assuming it may take 30 days from my last purchase of the 6 items to reset the purchase limit.

I also have a few items that I have recently returned and I’m awaiting for the refund to be processed. Hopefully it’ll revise my purchase limit

Same has been happening to me. I made over 7 purchases this month and finally they started automatically cancelling any new order placed online. I called them multiple times and no one was able to explain why this was happening, I was told maybe due to lack of inventory. Finally when I chatted with an online advisor, he informed me to wait 30 days before trying to place any new order.

I bought four key pouches. One is for me and rest of three are gift for my family. Also, I purchased PM mono and reverse (I dont know yet if I am going to keep two or keep one and return one back) So 6 items in a month.

Just now, I was trying to purchase toiletry 26, and as I pressed the last button to order, i got an email notification saying that the order was cancelled. Now I am thinking that’s what happened to me. Purchase limit...

btw. I am also working for school and doing remote learning. this whole work from home opened a LV door for me.

Welcome to the purchase limit club!!

I hear you on that LV door! It's wide open.. patiently waiting for the 30 day period to end. Let's be real, the limit is probably a good thing for my wallet, lol. I was pretty disciplined after getting my first bag in 2018, but that is OVER. I see allllll the LV in my world from here on out

I am so glad that I found this thread. I was trying to order a key pouch for myself and kept getting cancellation emails immediately after the sell completed. I would call and was told it was probably out of stock and to buy it again if I see it pop up again. I wonder if this applies only to online orders and you can make a purchase in store (like Saks LV store) during the 30 days?

Under Terms Of purchase, product purchase limitations, #13, the purchasing restrictions are listed on their website.
Thanks this was very helpful and answered all of my questions. I wonder why the CAs just didn't tell me this was the case when I called the several times b/c of the same items getting cancelled again and again.

I called a few times before reaching a CA who explained it to me. I'm also curious to see whether this limit applies in store, or if it will be lifted after 30 days passes. I was told that the items "drop off" your limit one at a time, if that makes sense. Eagerly awaiting my chance to get my hands on the DE mini PA!

Yep, this just happened to me. I ordered the kirigami in pastel and immediately received an email from LV... I called and CS said it was a billing issue. Then, 3 days later, I Made another order and I used my husband’s PayPal, but with my CC info and it happened again, same email... I called in again, spoke to a CS for 30 min who insisted it was a billing issue, I pushed and spoke with someone in escalations. After 90 min on the phone I was told I reached my purchase limit for the month of May. This totally SUX because it’s Mother’s Day and my birthday... between buying for my mom and for myself I reached the limit... but then CS told me that there was a limit for a 12 month span also, no more than 12 items total for 1 calendar year??? Has anyone else heard of this? CS said this was a brand new policy.

Does anyone know or suspect that they are ignoring or being lenient with the purchase limit rules during the lockdown and pandemic?
Today is the last day of the month and I have been told stores will properly open next month. I want to order something today before they get back to normal.

Yep, it’s been in place for the last little while and has been discussed in quite a few threads here on TPF well.

Does anyone know if your in store purchases get counted in your purchase limit?

I wasn’t sure if they track in-store and online purchases together on your account. I don’t have daycare expenses due to WFH and have been treating myself and reached my limit. I’m not a reseller and there are a couple items I want to add to my collection.

Does anybody know if returned items get deducted from your purchase history for number of items purchased? From the posts I’ve read, it doesn’t seem like that’s the case. I don’t understand why it wouldn’t. It’s not like people will always keep everything bought.

I’ve been told by a couple of CAs over the phone that returned items are still considered part of your purchase count. Just not sure as CAs haven’t always been consistent about stuff... it is unfortunate if the info is true tho
