Shouldn't take it personally but..hit buying limit?

Just a thought...I wonder if this a control tactic to minimize over saturation of lower priced goods in the market.

I personally have only purchased up to 4 pieces each year (last and this), and don’t think I would exceed this count. I like to extend the desire over the piece as I play with fate. If I wait, then I accomplished using what I already have and delayed gratification. If I get it, I’m overjoyed. If I don’t, I may be upset but it is replaced with something else. I also learned there are items that WILL be there, like the mini Pochette, so there is no rush to get them.

Ughh same thing happened to me. Tried ordering the kirigami set in mono and the key pouch in DE. No luck! Orders kept getting cancelled. Called and apparently I’ve reached my order limit. I’m new to the brand so I guess I went a little cray placing orders.

I think the official word is any purchase- online and in-store, counts toward your limit. But according to an internal source, there are ways of getting around the restriction, within reason (and I want to emphasize this- under no circumstances will they deal with you if they suspect you are a re-seller). But it involves having a relationship with an SA online or in-store. And it also means you cannot place an order online by yourself- you will have to do it in-person or by phone. Which of course can be a problem for high-demand items.

Glad I found this thread. I have the same issues for buying in store. My SA did warn me about the limit. I just rebuilt my collection and now they stop me. 12 pieces within 12 calender month is too little. I don’t mind to wait for another 30 days to make another purchase, but really.. 12 pieces only for the whole year ? At least 12 bags, 12 slg, 12 accessories, 12 shoes...

oh boy so in store purchases count towards it as well :-/ that really stinks. I have bought for myself but also wanted to buy for hubby and my 2 daughters before another price increase. I was hoping that in store purchases wouldn't count. Guess I'll have to ration what to get

I never buy online, always walk in to store. I am not sure if they combine online and store purchase or they count differently. But to me, a bit tight for 12 pieces within 12 months and they combine bags and slg. I am not reseller, but sometimes I bought for my husband, my mother, and my sister too. I hope LV will change their policy to add more flexibility.

It's rather easy to reach 12 online purchases within a year. Has anyone been denied after 12 purchases in a year?

I’ve reached my order limit. When I called customer service the SA I spoke with mentioned there was a limit of 6 per month. He was able to help me
Order the kirigami set since when I tried to purchase it myself online my orders kept getting cancelled.

Has anyone received any clarity on wether or not returned items count towards the purchase limit? I’ve recently returned 2 out of the 4 purchases I’ve made this month. There’s one more I am trying to add to my collection but I also have my moms birthday coming up. I’ll get her gift first but it would be nice to know if I can still add the piece I want!

Yes I think you hit the limit. It’s officially outlined here: https://us.louisvuitton.com/eng-us/legal-notice

Under “TERMS OF PURCHASE” then “13. Product Purchase Limitations”.

————————
To ensure better service and better availability of our products, Louis Vuitton limits the quantity of products that can be purchased as follows : no more than 3 leather goods (including small leather goods) per transaction, with no more than 2 identical products per such transaction. Also customers cannot, within 4 consecutive weeks, (i) buy more than 6 leather goods products (including small leather goods products), or (ii) buy in more than 3 different LV stores in the worldwide network, or (iii) conduct more than 8 transactions of all kind of products.

In any case the total number of purchased leather goods (including small leather goods products) will not exceed 12 products within 12 consecutive months.

It’s supposed to help with their reseller problem, but of course it’s going to also affect others who genuinely buy a lot. I also believe you can get around it if you work with a CA or are an VIC. Or maybe it’s only applicable to online? I’ve never been stopped by it but I think I have exceeded it (I need to double check to confirm though!)

I’d love others who’ve had more experience with these limits chime in for more info! I believe they are also recently implemented rules.
So you have to wait a month to order if you reached your limit or you cant do that either?

I’m on Cancelled Island too. I’m going to just wait for the Christmas animation since I only have 1 or 2 more purchases left after I’m unsuspended.
When do they unsuspend ? Im on that island with ya
Ordered 6 items but unable to order the 7th one

Joining the "Cancelled Order" club. Called customer service who was very helpful and nice but found out I cannot buy anything for awhile as I was able to score some difficult pieces online. I convinced my poor hubby to sign up and buy me something but it failed as well due to the same household address. Fortunately with the help of all of you I was able to score my Mini PA and the Speedy BB VVN which I adore. Also received the escale pastel toiletry 26 for a friend. I did buy a few more items but nothing crazy. Will need to wait until the store reopens to try to get the toiletry 26 for a friend. I did return some items and explained that I was always interested in them but they weren't in stock in the store to view and when I received it, they didn't speak to me. Anyways....Stay safe all and happy quarantine shopping which I see as taking a sad/bad situation and trying to make the best of it.
How did you get unblocked

I don't know what to do... I can't buy anything online at Louisvuitton.com
By the way: sorry for my English, I'm from Austria!

What I bought this whole year 2020 (in June):
  • 2 Key Pouch (one for me & one for my sister)
  • 1 Shoulder Strap (for my Pochette Accessoires).

The other orders are from 2018! I haven't bought that much, so there couldn't be a limit!

I tried to buy the Mini Pochette Accessoires (sold out!!) last week, got an email and in my order history stands 'Pending Bank Transfer'... After 2 days my order has been cancelled for no reason!

After that, I tried to buy an notebook refill (just to try, if it works) and the same happens - order cancelled. I can't understand...
I can't go to the store & buy there because the item is SOLD OUT and they can't put me on the waiting list. So I need to buy it online - I refresh the website every hour, when I have time.

The address is the same and I use the same credit card like the last times. I have enough money on my bank account and my bank haven't blocked the payment because of fraud.

What can I do? do you have an idea, what's the problem? Have they blocked me?

Thank you for reading this, maybe we can find a solution or answer for this mess...
