I believe you are a VVIP, because I have multiple friends who shop at this location and it does not happen. It's very competitive at that store and my friends are more that sweet and nice to their SAs every time. They are long time customers, but they don't get what they want.
You are correct! Even long time customers will not get what they want and I am one of them. So far out of 3 bags (B/K/C) that I got from this store, I only got 2 that are based on my wishlist. Just want to let you all know, the Store Manager also plays an important factor in this process. @alittleshy is a really super lucky client!

That's not something I can really comment on. Personally, I don't believe that we are VVIP's because of the anecdotes we've seen or heard of others who we believe would better fit the VVIP billing, but I do agree that we have been very fortunate. It's not like they roll out the red carpet for us when we shop there, and it's not like we feel like we're treated extra well. My text messages sometimes get ignored just like other people.

What the heck? I don't understand where this hostility is coming from, making insinuations about my personality and suggesting that we're undeserving. First of all, I'm male. My wife and I shop at Hermes together. We're very appreciative of the fortune we've had. I understand for people that are working toward getting their first quota bag that there's an almost-intentional air of mystery or confusion, and I'm more than willing to offer whatever insights I can to people that have questions.
My apologies for the hostility , the usual Hermes customer who has such luck with those items usually isn’t the nicest person on the planet . I’m sorry for assuming you were one of those shoppers . I commend you for working hard and being able to attain the things you want because of your hard work .

She must be a VERY VERY IMPORTANT PERSON to attain such items . Like I said ‘ what did she purchase to becomes such a VVIP . I wonder , does her personality match her VVIP status ? Do you think your better than most BECAUSE of those attained status symbols . Do you hold doors open for elderly people , do you pick up a piece of trash that someone threw out next to the trash can , are you a well mannered individual who appreciates the fact that you are able to purchase such luxurious items . I don’t know anyones back story or judge right off the bat but just curious if she knows just how lucky she is …
Maybe you need to reflect on what you just wrote and see how this attitude may have come across. Switch to BH and be nice, be patient and do not have a wish list. Offers will roll in. What has worked for me is to only go to the store when invited, buy what I love, which is RTW, shoes and blankets. Granted, I buy quite a bit because I buy for myself and my daughters and I have been a client for 8 years. I have NEVER had a wishlist.

Lol, just kidding. BTW, switch to BH and be nice, be patient and do not have a wish list. Offers will roll in.

The attitude is one of a very very VERY frustrated shopper . If you’ve read all the correspondence between us , you’d understand where my frustration lies , and I have sincerely apologized to @alittleshy for my rudeness and assumptions about their character. It was absolutely rude of me and I am very sorry .

Apology very much accepted, and I would appreciate it if other people stopped taking shots at @CoryFabulous. We've all started at the same place, and we all know how frustrating it can be.

Mansplained on TPf, and how would one know where ”we” all started. Yikes. I can speak for myself only and say my experience at Beverly Hills has never, ever been frustrating.

I'm sorry, it wasn't my intent to offend anyone or "mansplain". I was simply trying to say that the interaction was primarily between myself and another, and I don't like how others interjected to attack them. Perhaps it was presumptive to say that "we've all started at the same place." I was just trying to say that waiting to receive an offer for a quota bag is an experience that many Hermes clients know very well.

@alittleshy, I agree with you that waiting to receive an offer for a quota bag is something many clients know well. SCP and BH sound a bit like Madison Ave in terms of product scarcity and very high demand. Ive been told, and it’s my observation, that Hermes seems to be unofficially moving to a sales model where QB are reserved for strong clients of the house, which I personally interpret to mean up to 5X plus (excluding leather). (It sounds like you may be a fortunate exception, IDK). DH and I share a Madison Avenue SA. I have a high prespend; I don’t have a wishlist; and I have received QBs ( though nothing as spectacular as those of @haute okole lol) :D. I have also been told by a friend who is in a position to know that SCP is also overrun by clients who are also blatant resellers. That might also make things more difficult for all of the SCP clients who buy for personal use and who are under 5X on this thread.

In my opinion only, Hermes QB allocation isn’t a game. H is a business. QB are limited, and there is no guarantee, especially post Covid, that any of us will get what we want in a timely manner. If clients don’t like it, or don’t want to buy more than, say a QB or a twilly, there are always resellers (i personallu buy from boutique and reseller though I avoid extreme pricing; this was possible during the resale price slump during Covid SIP).

The sentiment voiced above (that the usual lucky Hermes customer isn’t the nicest person) wasn’t addressed to you. Although it may have been expressed in frustration, it was made on a public thread, and others are certainly free to chime in. I’ve been a member for a while, and found the reactions quite mild in comparison to other threads.

All of this is of course JMO, and YMMV.

The longer I am on TPF, the more useful I find the ignore button. :)

Thank you for your feedback! I understand that the sentiment was more of a generalization than anything else, but I was still nonetheless the "she" that was being referred to. I feel like I have more of a stake in the conversation in a situation like that.

I also appreciate your insight into the state of resellers at SCP. It makes sense as we've had conversations with SAs in other designer stores at SCP where they've explicitly said that they resell quota bags. We've never thought much of it, but in retrospect it could be indicative a larger pattern.

Yes I agree SCP has many clients who are resellers, and I’m sure their SAs are aware but couldn’t care less  I mean when their clients buy 6 pairs of shoes (same model different colors), multiple mini pop h necklaces etc surely they must know about their motive?
I’ve dealt with some people just because I couldn’t get a bag either online (coz of reseller bots!!) or at the store so out of frustration I had to go the reseller route, and they all got their bags from SCP.

I just came back from the South Coast Plaza Hermes store and had a very mediocre experience. Not sure if it was because it’s the Christmas shopping rush as there was a line to get into the store. It was my first time there and the SA assigned to help me was not interested to help me. She even asked another associate to help me with the rest of my visit (I said I wanted to buy a men’s tie, look at women’s shoes, then wanted to see if they have Picotins available.) No one gave me their contact info even when I asked if I could reach out and keep in contact. Can anyone give advice on how I can find a good SA at the SCP store that can help me since that is the store closest to me?

I had the same experience with you in BH when asking for help for belts and shoes, the sales would just point to the counter and offered zero assistance. So in SCP, I changed my strategy to buying a big item first to at least attract the intrest of the SA to see you as a potential long term customer. I strolled around the store, found something I really liked and picked a sales that I want to build a relationship with and walked up to the SA and said I want to buy this 4k usd cashmere blanket lol. After the blanket I then asked for assitance on smaller items like belts and shoes. After those three purchases I was offered a gold picotion 18 and the SA gladly gave us her contact number. Basically, I think many of the sales are unwilling to build new relationship currently unless they see you have the spending potential because stocks are low and the SA themsleves probably have trouble giving their exististing customer bags. You have to demonstrate the potential you can outspend their existing client base. This is just my two cents and everyone's experience is different, I hope you can find a good SA.
