It’s so disheartening to not be able to purchase something you’ve been dreaming of for years and years . My SA said they had exotics at Costa Mesa as well , but I said I do not want one as I only want a leather B or K . What is wrong with Hermes and their inventory? I haven’t seen 1 B or K get purchased from Costa Mesa . Never have I ever even seen one on display . I asked if they were ever going to get any inventory ever , and they just always say it takes time . I’m like , 3 years is a long time to wait for inventory . This is horrible business practices by a company . Ramp up production before the recession kicks in . Which it will eventually and by then they won’t be able to get rid of those expensive bags at all . Sell them to consumers while the getting is good .
Have you been purchasing other items or just waiting to be called for a quota bag for three years?

I’ve been purchasing items throughout the 3 years I’ve been waiting . Of course I didnt just walk in there asking for a quota bag . I understand SA’s don’t get commission on B or K . So I’ve been purchasing other things to make up for it and building a relationship . Every time I ask about leather goods or if any have come through the store . It’s always the same response , it takes time , or inventory is really “dry” here ( meaning Costa Mesa store ) . I feel like my SA doesn’t push the company hard enough for me . I tried to switch but they made a huge deal about me trying to use a new SA

It sounds like clients are spending upwards of $30k in a few months in your region to get each bag and there are more clients willing to spend like that than there are bags available. The stores get deliveries at least once a week so if you haven’t had any offers in three years you either aren’t spending nearly enough or you’ve unfortunately been blocked out by your SA/store and I’d probably change stores altogether if I wanted to continue shopping with H at all. ETA also if your SA knows that you tried to switch SAs I’m sure that’s not helping your cause either. Time to switch stores and consolidate some purchases or go resale. :/

I appreciate your information very much . Thank you for letting me know that . When I had tried to switch SA’s it was while my current SA was out on leave for a month . I only tried because I was more familiar with the new SA since he had come from another luxury retail position that I shopped at frequently .
Thinking that I may have been flagged by my store or SA is absolutely ridiculous seeing as I am always courteous and well mannered . Especially when my SA was 45 minutes late for an appointment they made for me .
I knew for a fact that they get shipments weekly which is why I try to contact them every few weeks regarding leather goods . I think I may start shopping at the Beverly Hills location and try my luck there . Thank you for the information again !

So sorry to hear this. Stock at BH for bags is very, very low. I am a long time client and was offered a bag there recently, but it was a very expensive exotic, which I declined. Unless you spend $40k+ on non leather, preferably in one visit, do not expect a leather B or K at BH today. They do not have the leather inventory at this time.
That's why I saw a lot more exotics to be offered this year than prior years. It's either they keep the leather QB bags for really high spenders or they really don't have it. I thought BH has a lot more inventory than SCP.

BH may not be any easier than SCP. My SA is the small leathers manager and he said inventory is very low for any leather. Alot of inventory is not on display and is only available if requested or already set aside for someone in particular. I know some Angelenos who prefer Vegas stores to BH. I don’t know why, but Vegas has been quite generous with QBs in the past and the lines in front of those stores seem shorter. The line in front of the BH store is insane, hours long on the weekends.

Vegas has very low stock this year. One store have zero bags on display when I went a few months ago. The pre-spend ratio in Vegas can be higher than SCP or BH. I saw someone posted photos and videos from a VIP event at BH this past Sunday and looks like they had quite a lot of RTW and shoes compared to any of the Vegas stores.

I was at the BH event with my daughter. It was so fun. They had a decent amount of RTW because that was the purpose of the event, but leather was still on the low side. The entire top shelf is empty. Wow, I guess until they build out their new manufacturing facilities this year, 2023, 2024 and 2026, things will be slow all around.

I will be in Newport Beach next month and plan on hitting both Chanel and Hermes in Costa Mesa. Do I need an appointment for Costa Mesa Hermes store? I am only going to be looking at shoes and maybe an Evelyn if they have one. I won't have time to wait in line so hoping for some advice on an SA and/or appointment making? TIA!

I’m in NY, and I was told NY/BH are likely to get them first. I was told they haven’t seen any (the implication was the duo is still mainly in Europe) And, this is not a poor man question lol :flowers:
They definitely were in the US when they first were released (over a year ago now? Yikes time flies!) but I agree that they seem to be extremely low in stock in the US, but are slowly trickling in here and there.

No I don't believe that you do. The store has two lines, one for appointments and one for walkins. I think just line up on the side nearer the Nordstrom and an SA will assist you when they're available. The last time I was there I saw that the line moved fairly quickly.

I think it’s best to call the store. That’s what I did back when I didn’t have an SA and got assigned to one. I don’t like to wait in line too and if you ever decide to wait, make sure to be there before the store opens.
