it doesn't make sense that they're not giving fashionphile credit when they state the issue is with ACH and wires???
I recently sold a pair of Chanel loafers and got an incredible offer. with store credit it would've exceeded the retail cost (which is what I wanted). I got the email of my payment and noticed in small details they're sending a check. i also noticed on the site they've disabled live client chat. i'm so annoyed with this

Completely agree! If it's a wire issue, then send checks and notify, or allow clients to wait. But WHY would they not be able to issue store credit? That makes zero sense.

call them and talk to someone over the phone. Select the call back option. They will call within 3-4 hours.
something is going on with them and I don’t like it.

I shipped a birkin 35 to them and on June 13th I got an email notice from them saying they are not buying my bag and will return to me, and it has been 11 days, no tracking number uploaded, I tried to email them - no response, I tried to online chat with their client service - chat box keep showing offline, I finally be able to reach out to their online personal shopper(client service still showing offline) today and told them my situation, they told me to wait a few mins and after 10 mins they didnt response to me and shut down my chat box, i log back into my account using another broswer, their online chat is showing offline again(both client service and personal shopper). What are they trying to do here??
I'm sorry this happened to you! Did they give you a reason for not accepting your bag? I know this is unrelated, but I found it odd that I sent them a brand new Chanel jumbo, with all tags, box, etc., yet when they listed it, they included dust bag only. I'm not sure if they plan to use the box for another bag to increase the value, but even these seemingly unrelated issues all seem related to some financial issues, whether cashflow or something else..

I'm not in the US right now, my friend will help to make the call today, I will post the result here if there is one😟
I've been selling with FP since 2023, they had paid me over $200K throughout the years, and this is the very first time they acting like this, so I agree with you, there might be something going on with them

I wonder Possibly your bag list low, and they may save that box for a higher value Chanel bag to sell for higher price? If you jumbo listed at $4,200 and under. That’s my guess.

They actually listed my jumbo at over $8000, so no idea why they wouldn't include the box, etc. It was just odd to me, unless they're saving the box to sell a 12k plus bag. Just my thoughts

Thanks! They said the bag was painted, and I had a few bags got returned from them throughout the years, all saying bag was painted or condition of the bag was not what they expected

Is that green one? If that’s it, I think I might understand, because while many would think it’s new, others may thinks it used, because the hardware is tarnished. And the size color combination made that bag is a risky item, only Fashionphile such large companies would buy at high price. This bag either sell or won’t sell till many discounts over.

People would not buy it just because come with box, dust bag, tag etc.

Anyone know offhand if they send the check to the seller address and not the shipping address? My shipping address no longer matches my (current) seller address because I haven’t bought anything in a few years. I feel dumb that I hadn’t changed this bit I didn’t request a check payout…

So, I went in on Tuesday to the NYC location…. I brought a few pre quoted items. As I walk in, the woman at the front desk says into the phone “we are actually allowing PayPal”. Once she got off I questioned a bit. I said “wait, your website didn’t say this. It said check only?” She goes, “nope, PayPal works. It’s as fast as wiring. We just have to manually change it for you. When I get you to a sales rep tell them you want PayPal”

I also asked a bit about if they’ve had angry customers. She said “yes, so many. But it hasn’t slowed business either. We don’t know anything, it’s pretty rough on our end that everyone keeps asking yet we have no info on perhaps the most important part of our business model”.

She seemed be to telling the truth. I was starting to think maybe they are being bought out or something. But, I have to say, their offers were lower than usually, especially on high end products. They were only offering 15k on a super coveted Hermes bag (when Rebag offered 24k) and 2.5k on a 7k Chanel bag (I did see they had like 6-7 of them stale on their website)

For what it’s worth, I gave my PayPal, got the money yesterday and transferred it to my account with no fees…

I thought PayPal has monthly transfer limit like $500 on private accounts? Correct me if I’m wrong, also I think PayPal will send 1099, I pay all taxes on sold items, I just don’t want to receive an extra form of documentation.

That’s very interesting information you found! Wondering if they were bought, who would bought them, just paying a bit fun game, fist jump into my head is eBay.😄 the lineup could be Amazon, or an European company.

Hi all -- I've been buying/selling with FP for years, like 15+ years and it's like literally hundreds of items I've sold/bought. I sold a few items last week and one came back as 'not able to be authenticated' and now they are requesting $75 for authentication and said in the email I can longer sell with them. Any idea how to resolve this? It's really upsetting since the item was purchased in-store and of course, with all the years I've been with them to have this occur.
