They are definitely not what they used to be....

Their quotes, in my opinion, are low (compared to a few years ago) and their turn around is questionably long.

I recently sold them a dior card holder and a pair of celine sunglasses. They offered me $100.00 for each (I knew they were low ball, especially on the card holder, but i accepted anyway because I haven't used either in ages). After I shipped them the items, they never sent me an email confirmation that they were received or in process for authentication despite the tracking showing as delivered. They items were also no longer listed under my active quotes.

I chatted them 2 weeks after delivery and the rep told me they would investigate and email me back - never did.

So I chatted back a week later and the rep told me they was going to investigate with her ship team and get back to me shortly. They suddenly ended the chat abruptly and a new rep popped into the chat and started over. She told me that they did receive them and I should be hearing back soon. At this point, they've had my items for almost a month and I did not receive any correspondence.

About an hour later, I received an email that they received the items and would be authenticating as if the items were just delivered.

This last experience was kind of bizarre and off putting. Sadly, I feel like they are still the easiest to deal with when wanting to get rid of things as I hate the experience of trying to sell things on my own.

I did just get another quote on an LV bag and it seems really low, considering what they will probably sell it for because there are a couple on the site at the moment.

I have noticed over the years that submitting my item for a quote in person gave me a better quote. I initially started off online and if I didn't like their quote I would call to make an appt. When viewed in person I got a better quote for the same item. Since then I don't do online quotes anymore.
Thats awesome, always wondered how in-person was! I wish they had a location in Chicago

Just wanted to share my in-person experience from earlier this week:

I went to FP @ NM SF earlier this week hoping to sell 3 bags: Chanel vintage diana flap, Chanel boy wallet on chain, and Goyard St. Louis GM. However, the quotes were much lower than I had expected. They couldn't even offer a quote for the St. Louis GM citing that they have too in stock. However, I checked online the previous night and they only had one of the exact color and size in stock, so I'm guessing they meant St. Louis stock in general?

Back in April 2024, I received a pretty good quote for the vintage Diana flap, but I decided to hold onto it since I wasn’t in a rush to sell. This time around, they quoted me $1k less, which shocked me. I didn’t end up selling any of my bags, and I think the guy assisting me was annoyed, but I’m unwilling to let them go at such low quotes, especially when I know they double the price when listing them.

The guy also mentioned that Neiman Marcus’s partnership with Fashionphile is ending soon, though he didn't share when exactly. He said they will be closing the Fashionphile location inside SF and opening a showroom in SF or Palo Alto (I forget which), similar to the one in NYC and San Diego(?). I wanted to pass this info along in case anyone is considering redeeming NM gift cards.

Unfortunately this sounds par for the course. FP also gave me insanely low quotes for Chanel in particular. and I’ve spent 6 figs w/ them…

Anyone has other recs? Tried Julia Rose and some other smaller resellers and they’re not responsive

some of the smaller consignments may not survive at this round of downturn.

This time is best to sell directly to consumers.

You can wait a few months and try again. I've had similar situations happen to me where they quote ridiculously low prices and I just end up keeping them. I usually don't resubmit immediately, I give it a month or two and monitor similar item to make sure it sells before I submit it for a quote again. I've had a bag they quoted me 1200 and I wasn't ready. When I was ready, they quoted 675. Just recently they quoted me 1100 again.

Same. I sold an item recently and after 2 weeks started to wonder why I hadn't heard anything -- I did get a notice it was received, but that was all. After I contacted them I was paid out in 24 hours. Without that push what was the intent .. to just not pay out, or take as long as possible? They used to pay out within 3 days and now everything is significantly longer, and just bad service.
