Seller: Linda's Stuff discussion..

Although I understand that it's tempting because one can get great deals on some of Linda's items, but if she's not able to keep up with her business, perhaps it's time to cut back to a level that she can handle or hire more help.

Personally, I'd never do business with Linda*s***stuff because I don't believe she does her due diligence in authenticating items prior to listing. (Her listings state that she has items authenticated but that's not true. Over the last 7 years, I've seen fakes in nearly brand. And because Linda brings so much money into ebay, they tend to turn a blind eye. :nono:

BB - that's funny...well, not really :shucks:
I was kind of wondering how she managed to have so many HTF bags and limited editions etc - in more than one.
:-s

^many seller's intentionally sell fakes... don't think this is the case here..
perhaps she doesn't do her due diligence & strictly relies on her consignors
info, but don't think she deliberately intends to misrepresent any of her
merchandise.. and besides she takes everything back...so there really never
is a problem about getting your money back...

I agree with BeenBurned. I saw they listed fake Bals a few times recently. They said Carol authenticated the itmes in their listings. But when an expert on Bal AT forum contacted to Carol about the item, Carol said she had no idea about the item. They shouldn't be considered a reliable or reputable seller anymore.

No one said they did it intentionally but the seller's responsibility is to verify authenticity of items before listing them.

The fact that she'll take the bag back and refund the buyer doesn't make her "honest." It's a tactic that many sellers use when confronted with having sold a fake, knowingly or not.

They feign shock, offer apologies and tell the buyer to return item for a refund. It's a way to avoid having disputes filed and many of those sellers get positive feedback for their "honesty and quick response."

Is there really ANYTHING else that needs to be said..............

"They shouldn't be considered a reliable or reputable
seller anymore"..

This is harsh and unfair... Linda's Stuff has many happy & repeat
customers and until Carol makes a statement on this forum
about the bag in question, these comments should not be made.

If they accept refunds due to it being fake, do they offer to cover shipping charges to send it back? Some people find it's okay as long as they offer refunds, but if you have to send it back at your expense (signature and all), then you still end up losing money which could have been prevented if you knew it was fake to begin with. Especially if you're Canadian like me and sending anything international with tracking and signature costs a lot more. This is something I hate about Paypal and Ebay. As a buyer, you shouldn't have to lose money for buying fake due to misrepresentation.

I'd love to have Linda come and explain this!!

As I commented earlier, she has statements in her listings (and has done it forever) that state,
014a-a-authenticityguarantee.jpg

Everything we sell is 100% guaranteed authentic. We authenticate every item on our site before it is listed. We stand behind the authenticity of our items with a money-back guarantee. We appreciate your trust!

With some of the obvious fakes that she has listed and sold, there's NO WAY she could have authenticated them beforehand.

And has anyone checked her toolhaus?

LoveM&S.. just out of curiousity have you bought from Linda's Stuff??

If you did, why don't you share your experience??

I understand what you said. I have never bought anything from them. But from what I saw, I think they lied about their authencity gurantee part.

Here is what happened on Bal AT forum.

Hi, ladies.
Would you please check it? It looks off many ways to me, even though it said it was authenticated by Carol in the listing.

Item Title: NEW BALENCIAGA Yellow Leather Gold Tone Hardware Giant Large Brief Tote Handbag
Item Number: 200652261369

I agree that this bag looks off. This seller says the bag has been authenticated by Carol in all of her listings. However, I emailed Carol about an obvious fake that was listed before, and she had no idea. The listing was subsequently taken down. I personally do not trust anything from this seller any longer. Others can take a look, too, but I do not believe this bag is authentic.

The one more list which was said the item was authenticated by Carol, it was removed . We can't see it now. But they listed a fake.

Hi, ladies.
I know Lind's stuff is a reputable seller. But it doesn't look good. I'm not familiar with an old Bal. It said it was authenticated by Carol. But still looks off. Would you please check it?

TIA.

Not only can she not decide what to call it, but it is fake (trying to be a City - not a Town). And, because she is a "top-rated" seller, she will probably sell it without a problem, unfortunately. Not the first fake she has sold :(

I understand they have many happy customers. But I don't think they are reliable seller.

If that's the case, Carol saying, HTF bags being too 'available' etc...there are probably 'some' people who have no clue they've bought a fake :thinkin::weird:

Totally O/T in case anyone is thinking of going to NYC and finding consignment sales.....
I bought a Prada from Out of Our Closet Consignments/Fisch for the Hip in NYC. Had it about one year. This was before I knew authenticators even existed!!

Brought it to Prada to get some stitches reinforced.
Was sent back to me from Prada as a well-done but truly fake bag. I was so embarrassed and angry when I brought it back to the place - she maintained it was authentic, standing behind her stuff - and it was after all, a year later :(

Just bringing that up in case anyone has ever gone. :-( Get your stuff checked by a reputable person - SADLY, we really can't rely on consigners. I learned my lesson :(
