Bought a pair of 'brand new' Badgley Mischkas from Linda's Stuff that turned out to be HEAVILY damaged. They look like they've been to hell and back: the gold finish is tarnished over half the boot, and the crinkled distress look has been used so much it's been rubbed smooth on the upper part of the boot.

The soles were almost pristine, so they must have been on display at Neiman Marcus.

Am asking for a 50%+ refund on them, as I'm overseas and it's not really worth it to send them back.

I should have read about this seller before making the purchase.

If they look like they have been to hell & back, why
would you want to keep them for a 50% discount??

At 50% off, they would still look like they went to hell
and back....and they would still be heavily damaged???

That makes no sense to me at all.......

50% off is a bit steep, don't you think?

Uh, yah. Pristine sole, thinks it was display yet heavily damaged and wants 50% off. That is exactly why sellers no longer give partials. Return or nothing.

Frankly, I'm not a huge fan of Linda*s***stuff. But in this case, I think you are wrong.

Asking for a partial refund is a tactic used by many buyers as a way to get their item for less.

If the shoes are as bad as you describe, how is a 50% refund going to make them better?

If Linda is offering a full refund, return them and get your money back.

If you're unhappy with the shoes and don't want to send them back, resell them yourself with full disclosure.

European privacy policy and German ebay doesn't let us look at your bidding history so I can't see the listing.

Please post a link to Linda's listing so we can see the description, pictures and condition as stated in the listing.

I guess I should feel lucky, because I have purchased quite a few times from Linda's, and almost always the items were just as described. Last shipment, the CHANEL shorts were a bit worse for the wear than stated, but still in good shape for the price I had paid. She is a bit off with sizing, so I make sure with her clothing I know what sizing I am in the brand, and mostly stick to that brand. Only recent issue was really slow shipping when I combined a free ship Item and a regular ship item. My suggestion is because she does have a 7-day return, if not happy just return for refund.

^^ I've also only had positive transactions with Linda's. The things I've gotten have been at a great price, in new or like new condition and they've been shipped super fast. I do think their descriptions can be vague (as well as answers to questions) but overall I am happy to be a return buyer.

I've had 2 positive experiences with Linda's Stuff. One was for an item I received exactly as described, and another for an item I ended up not winning. For the item I ended up not winning, I sent her a message asking about something specific and her response was not very helpful and kind of vague, but I was told that I could return for a full refund for any reason. Having that in writing was enough for me.

As far as a partial refund goes, I've asked sellers for partial refunds in the case of something not as described. If something could be repaired, I would ask for a partial refund for the cost of the repair. This has happened once or twice.

I have both from her several times and very please with the price and condition.

My experience with them has been good so far. Fast response and shipping. But I guess people have to be careful. Because they move a tons of stuffs everyday, they don't seem to pay attention to every item well enough. Also there are not enough pictures and description to determine what items' true condition are, especially for pre-owned.

I bought a pair of dress pants (by Best Offer) for the bf and they were shipped promptly and as described...however, I do keep hearing about how hopelessly inaccurate their measurements are, and I can see that they don't have a clue how to photograph jeans (not sure how they handle their other merch since I don't really browse the store). I've seen some pretty terribly listed items there as well, so the buyer who knows what she's looking for could potentially get a great deal as a result of their uninformed listing practices...
