I wish I came across this thread BEFORE buying one of her items. For the most part it is as described... except for where she neglected to mention the small hole in the leather on the front. Argh.

I've never had to dispute a purchase on eBay before... any advice on how to do this? Do I contact the seller directly and ask for a refund?

UGH! I am sorry you have to go through this. I am having a recent SNAD issue too! Yeah, I would email her first, let her know about the flaw and that you wish to return the item. I would give her 24 hours to respond and try to work it out. From what I hear, she has poor communication though and you might just have to open a claim to get some resolution. Good luck!

Will do, thanks. At least its not a MAJOR issue, so I'll chalk it up to a lesson learned -- always research a seller before buying! :)

Are shipping charges are refunded too when its due to a flaw and not "oh I changed my mind"?

Yes, if it is an item not as described, the original shipping charges should be covered, but not what you pay to ship the bag back. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I do believe Paypal covers you for the full amount you paid, including shipping. I think it depends on how you go about getting the refund. If you file a Paypal claim for a SNAD, you will get the full amount. If you just work it out with the seller, they may not refund you the original shipping fees.

^ Yes, if you win a SNAD claim, you will be refunded your original shipping fee; so, that's what you should insist on, at the very least.

You can always request that the seller also covers your return shipping costs, as a gesture of goodwill, but they won't be made to do that, if it goes to a claim.

Hi. I've purchased a few items (clothings) from this seller, Linda's Stuff. On the whole, it took about a wk for items to be shipped.

Seller's shipping policy is generous. Typically I combine multiple auctions; request in advance for them to send me an invoice plus shipping for the multiple items; they're quick in responding and sometimes don't charge me shipping.

Items which I've won on the whole are as described, ALTHOUGH I have noticed sometimes the measurements of clothes are off. Once a shirt was soiled at the collar, but I didn't pay much for it so I just washed it.

I've also returned stuff within their 7-day return policy and have gotten money back without problems. It is because of this 7-day return/refund policy that I feel more comfortable with buying from Linda's Stuff.

Hope this helps to ease some of your concerns.

That's great that you had a great experience with this seller....I am sure it is not deliberate on their part to provide poor customer service. But based on my own personal experience to date, I had contacted them directly and gave them many chances to reticify the situation, still they didnt bother to answer my emails. So I had to open two dispute cases last week and is still awaiting for my refund !!!

all my experiences with Linda's Stuff have gone well... did not have any specific issues

with customer service... it's a fairly large operation there and would think at times

there might be a issue here or there, but for the most part I've been happy with

the item as well as the customer service..

I should add that I did contact Linda's Stuff about the issue with the bag I bought, and they apologized and told me to send it back for a full refund, as well as confirming that the shipping would be refunded. I assume return shipping is my problem (eBay policy) so I didn't ask for that to be covered. So far so good though, will update when I do receive my refund :)

I purchased 2 balenciaga bags from them, and her rating system obviously does not agree with mine or a lot of people, her excellent condition to me is more like "preloved, used a lot" the handles, tassles were split, leather in poor condition, not worth half the money they are asking in my opinion. I thought it was just me being the unlucky ones...

anyway, the only good thing about this seller is that they offer refunds.

well, I just purchased a top from Linda's Stuff... it came well wrapped and

was shipped promptly.... the condition was described well... have done very

well buying from this seller and have always been very pleased and look forward

to seeing her new listings.... its all working for me.. honestly!!!!

^ It must be! You are the ONLY one repeatedly posting positives after negatives on this thread.

There are way too many people finding her condition rating far afield from actual condition to be a coincidence. Not to mention other issues. I'm am sincerely glad you've never had a problem though. Perhaps you are a long time customer and they recognize you as such?

^my experiences with her have been positive and am just putting it out there as I

see it... she appears to have many satisfied customers and repeat customers at that..

she has a huge business and there will unfortunately people who will be dissatisfied

I am just not one of them at the moment..for me it works!!

Bought a pair of 'brand new' Badgley Mischkas from Linda's Stuff that turned out to be HEAVILY damaged. They look like they've been to hell and back: the gold finish is tarnished over half the boot, and the crinkled distress look has been used so much it's been rubbed smooth on the upper part of the boot.

The soles were almost pristine, so they must have been on display at Neiman Marcus.

Am asking for a 50%+ refund on them, as I'm overseas and it's not really worth it to send them back.

I should have read about this seller before making the purchase.
