About 10 - 15% of the FENDIs listed are not authentic IMO, but on top of it both I & another authenticator have emailed seller notice that she has a FAKE FENDI SPY Bag listed at $1399 right now, and we haven't had the courtesy of a response of any sort, nor has the listing been pulled.

How can you state in a listing that each item is Authenticated before listing it & then list bags that are obvious Fakes? :nono:
Dishonest IMO.

I just bought a Missoni skirt from her which hasn't gotten here yet. I have my fingers crossed. As I said above, she has sent me good things in the past. Troubling to hear all the bad stuff. She just got way too big is what I think.

My only buying experience with her was fine, too (not that that means much, I know!).

I think that even the best sellers (as well as any other profession) can go bad when they get too big? As you have to go from doing it all yourself, to employing others, who will inevitably not care about the business in the same way and/or may simply be incompetent.

The skillset needed to set-up a business and do everything well yourself, doesn't necessarily translate into being great at hiring, teaching and supervising others.

What I find interesting is her shoes. I wear a 39 in Prada and a 40 in CL (maaaaaybe a 39.5) and whenever I find a pair she has listed the insole measurements given are almost an inch smaller than what the size 'should' measure iykwim. I couldn't believe the measurements could be that off so I purchased a pair of Prada sandals. Sure enough they said 39 on the bottom but were too small. Maybe because they were a lot older than the ones I have been purchasing recently. But every time I see a listing I look at her measurements and they are small. Weird.
I will say that I have never had a problem with her taking a return or shipping items out.

I think shoe sizes have got bigger, by and large, over the last few years?

I remember, until the very early noughties, I was invariably a size 37.5, or 38 (depending on the sandal/shoe/boot); whereas, by about 2004, I could be as little as a size 36, in round-toed, flat sandals!

A notable exception would be Brian Atwoods, which come up even smaller than shoes used to, ten or more years ago, IMO.

Probably.....just like clothing sizes and the people who wear them.
My feet used to be a size 8 until 'the change' after which I couldn't cram my now size 9 hooves into any of my shoes.
These are not that old http://cgi.ebay.com/AUTH-CHRISTIAN-...17498?pt=US_Women_s_Shoes&hash=item588da4eaba. A size 40 CL with only 9.5" for an insole measurement? I have a pair of CL ballet flats and they are just a bit over 10".

^yup I have seen this many times. Asked to have a CL measured because it was sooo off but got a response that they were not able to pull a specific item to check. I guess that is why they allow returns but I don't want to pay for shipping both ways when the item was not listed correctly.

side note- I also gave her advise for her own auctions on how to photograph her denim to get more bids - I was feeling helpful lol - I don't see a change in her photography though. And I can see her denim sales suffer unfortunately.

I've noticed that her photograph of jeans are terrible too. I don't know what it is.. may be not showing their cut nicely?
While ago, I bought a pair of Acne jeans for $25 with free shipping. The condition was excellent (almost brand new) and much better than the photographs.

yes that's definitely what it is! Even the lowest-rise jeans end up looking dumpy on her mannequin because she pulls them up too high, so nobody can ever tell what the fit really is. And often, from the angle she takes the photos, you can't really tell if they're straight/skinny/flare, you just have to take her word for it.

I guess it works out in our favor, though! We got deals that other people probably overlooked. But we knew!

ps- is that audrey tatou in your avi? I heart her :) Saw Amelie 4 times in theaters when it was released in the US lol

I'd had a great experience with Linda's Stuff in the past, but recently I won an auction for 4 Chanel polishes from Great Stuff, which is an off-shoot store of Linda's Stuff on e(vil)bay) and I sent more than 10 emails to get the shipping cost. After my last emails got returned "undeliverable" I called and requested an invoice over the phone.

Even Chanel isn't worth that kind of hassle.

Have they actually got longer?

I heard that feet continued growing, slowly, throughout life, but I've never been sure if that was just a myth, or not?

The way shoe sizes vary, I'm not sure if one could ever know, for sure, whether it was that, or just the shoes?!

That does sound small?

Sounds like they'd probably fit me (my feet are around 9", I think?)?

Wonder if shoe sizes used to, originally (i.e. hundreds of years ago, I mean), be based on inches?

You know, a size 8 would be 8 inches long (or would fit an 8 inch foot) and a size 9 would be 9 inches long (or would fit a 9" foot) etc.?

Of course, in the UK, a US size 8 is about the same size as a UK size 5, but that may be because our shoe sizes date back 600 years, or something? When the tiny people, habitually, had 5", or 6", feet!

Then, I'm guessing that, over the centuries, they just made the shoes bigger, rather than actually changing the sizes?

However, perhaps, when people were then making a new start, in the US, they then decided to start again with shoe sizes that reflected the actual length of people's feet (until that started to change, again!)?

All I know is when I went through menopause my feet no longer fit in the shoes I had been wearing comfortably up until that time.

Oh, and my vision changed overnight......a complete 180 degree turnaround. I was nearsighted all my life. Now I am just the opposite. Like The Who song I can see for miles but need reading glasses.

Who knew?

I just purchased a pair of shoes from this seller earlier and now I'm kind of nervous after reading this thread. The pictures make them look pretty clean other than wear on the soles but now that I know that the descriptions aren't totally accurate sometimes I'm nervous but I'm crossing my fingers that they look nice. Does anyone know if she will include a signature confirmation- I just had to deal with a package disappearing so I'm wary about just getting a tracking number. I sent a message but I haven't heard back yet...

:graucho: Thank you for that information...I am going to stop buying from her now, even if it is a good deal ?...now I am bit worried that I had purchased few designer items from her  :nuts::nuts::nuts: I thought she is a lawyer ? if she is selling fake items from her website, is it not against the law ? I am not from the states, but isnt there any form of consumer protection law that customers can report or file complaint ?? I know when I was living in UK, there is what is called a consumer direct line or website which you can report and they do keep track of the sellers, even from ebay....

I had to email them 3X before getting a tracking number from them as I live overseas. So its worth asking for a tracking number so you can follow up yourself via website. Mine stated that the address was incorrect, I was so worried as it took almost a month to arrive. I had to literally go down to the postal office to find my parcel, which I did in the end....I hope yours will be smooth....

Which is worse, do you think (as you've experienced them both, now!)? Being near-sighted, or being far-sighted?

Also, I've Googled and it would appear that the foot lengthening has to do with the arches flattening out, as you get older?

I have extremely high arches, so I can envisage myself going up 3 sizes overnight, LOL!
