HOTSHOT....just out of curiosity, are you in any way associated with Linda's Stuff ???....

No I am not... but I have bought many things from her

over the years and have not only been happy but she

has always stood behind what she has sold and I never

had a problem... with shipping, answering q's or anything

else... I found her to be reputable, honorable and a seller

with integrity...

Well I am very pleased for you...unfortunately, I cannot say the same, I have made my decision to return all the items once I've received them..if I ever do that is...by reading all these comments on this thread re: fake items, its freaking me out !!! I think I have learned my lesson...

It is unfortunate that your particular merchandise got caught up in the
throws of the move... however, you bought these things wanting them
why don't you wait til you get your package , try it all on and
hope for the best....if one of your items was not shipped by error
at least they were forthcoming in letting you know that.. personally
think that is the right thing to do as disappointing as you may be
they at least told you straight away...

:confused1:

I am not sure why you seem to be indiscriminately defending this seller. If somebody posted behavior like this^ about any other seller on this board, I don't think anyone would be defending them?

High volume, low volume, no volume, this behavior in unacceptable. If Saks Fifth Avenue constantly send out wrong items, damaged items, etc, there would be an uproar. And can you imagine their volume?

my experience has been a positive one.. we can all pick
and choose who we want to buy from...the seller explained
that she was moving and thus the delay in shipping her items.
stuff happens.. this buyer has spent 5K with Linda's Stuff
no small change by today's standards..so there sure was
a reason for her wanting to buy more....

there have also been many threads/posts about SFA, NM, BG
sending out the wrong merchandise, wrong sizes, wrong colors
merchandise that looked like it had been altered, damaged etc.
it happens even with the high end retailers...

if you have had an unpleasant experience with Linda's Stuff
then share it with us..

my experiences again have been positive and I have no
reason not to buy from Linda's Stuff.. if I did have a question
about an item, wouldn't hesitate to ask at all &
and know that if it wasn't right, that she would take it back in a
heartbeat... that's good enough for me!! in addition, she has
a toll free # to ask about any of her items...not too many
ebay sellers offer that...

LoveM&S... we can agree to disagree..but until you personally have had
an experience with Linda's Stuff to make you feel that she is an unreliable
seller think your comment is out of order...
One doesn't need to have had experience with a seller to judge integrity! I have saved pictures from several of her previous fake Coach listings and these items weren't even "good" fakes.

There's no way they could have been mistaken for authentic items and yet her listings had the statement about having had them authenticated prior to listing.

Clearly, she lied back then and still (at least 6 years later), continues to have fakes.

I wondered that too.

Many sellers offer easy refunds to buyers after getting caught with fakes and/or buyers unhappy with the condition of the items they received. And especially with the current climate with Paypal where those sellers are likely to lose SNAD disputes whether the listings were accurate or not, sellers are even more apt to give in to any buyer complaints.

I'm glad you had good experiences with Linda but it appears that she hasn't learned to abide by the law in authenticating items before listing them. That indicates a lack of integrity and it is not a seller with whom I'd want to do business.

There are too many other big sellers who DO authenticate their items before listing and too many other sellers who have NEVER listed a fake. I'd choose to do business with them.

BeenBurned... you have a choice to do business with whomever you want...

Doing business with Linda's Stuff works for me but also for many hundreds
of other new & repeat buyers and in addition there are many sellers out there who
intentionally SCAM their buyers and won't take anything back until a buyer
files a SNAD...that is certainly not the case here... Linda's Stuff does & will take
her merchandise back...

And just for the record, again, I have no association with Linda's Stuff accept
for being a 100% satisfied buyer... end of story here for me....

Very well said!

Back when she was still "new", and small, I sent her a Dolce Gabbana suit for her to sell. She claimed she never got it. I never believed her.

so back when Linda was still "new" & small you
sent her a D&G suit from your location which from
your profile is somewhere in Europe... out of curiousity
did you insure it? were you able to file a claim if you did
insure it? it was a D&G suit, so it had to be fairly pricey..

I have to say, I've bought about 5 items from Linda's Stuff and have been very happy with both the items and the shipping time. I think with the volume that goes through the store, it's probably not uncommon to have some unhappy customers.

IDK... I completely agree that at a larger volume, you're going to have a greater number of problematic items and transactions-- it's a numbers game. But you'd still think her percentage of issues would stay stable, or at least not be dramatically greater than most. Last month, she had 109 negs/neuts for 6489 positives. That's 1.7% negs/neuts out of total FB left. Her 6 month and 12 month numbers are also over 1%. I know, that doesn't sound bad and it's far from awful, but since you only need 0.5% low DSR scores in one category to get your TRS badge removed, well... Even though that 0.5% is out of domestic transactions and not FB left, and most people have ~2x the transactions as FB, well, considering lots of people who leave positives will also give a low DSR or two...

IMO it's mathematically possible-- but not probable-- that she's maintaining TRS status "honestly." Factoring in cases against her/them and all... makes it even less likely. eBay has admitted they give special passes to larger and more prominent sellers (she's been featured on TV). I think it's very likely she's getting such a pass.

BTW I don't even think my neg/neut percentage is as good as it could be, but right now, it's 2/1367, or 0.14%-- about 1/10th of Linda's-- and that's as a percentage, not a number. So... Just saying. It doesn't make her the scourge of eBay or anything, but her FB and such wouldn't give me supreme confidence that my experience was going to be a great one.

And yeah, I've noticed the fact that they don't seem to iron/steam a bunch of the clothing before listing it, which seems... like a weird place to cut corners. I mostly use a Whirlpool Fabric Freshener, so I barely spend more than 10 seconds of active time "steaming" per item (just hanging it in the Freshener). And they could afford one of those industrial steam closets.

Even at, say, 8000 items per month that need steaming, that's literally ~40 minutes per day of work and they could pay that person minimum wage. 22 hours a month at even $8/hr is less than $200/month to present your 8000 items professionally. You can't tell me they wouldn't make that up in increased sales and bids. 2 cents per item? I know that all seems like minutia, but it's just an example of a weirdly self-defeating business practice IMO.

I disagree completely. And I have bought from her and posted about my experiences here and also had a very long thread on Ebay that was eventually removed about a fake LV keepall she sold.

As for refunding, she was non responsive for over 2 weeks and Ebay granted the refund and they promised they would again speak with her about authenticating her items before listing.

Executive Escalations at Pay Pal paid the return shipping, NOT Lindas Stuff.

She is NOT an honorable seller. List a fake by mistake - it can happen if you don't know to authenticate. But she does. And she's listed fakes time and time again.

And with this seller Ebay had to assign a special person to just run interference and 'work with the seller' to get them to change their ways.

They don't authenticate and they have been told to do it. That's dishonest. Linda has listed fakes. Intentional or not, it's against the law ftlog! I don't know how much more dishonorable you can be when selling high end prices than listing fakes and claiming to authenticate before listing. And then NOT. (Even worse is lying about having an item authenticated by Carol and it wasn't). Intentional deceit there IMO.

LOL are you 'rapping'? :p

I agree. You run a business, 'not knowing' is not an excuse permissable in law either.
