I sent a large number of designer items to Linda's Stuff last year and most of it sold quickly and I received checks as they were sold by the end of the month that they sold in.
Most of the items I sold I had purchased at NYC consignment stores or Saks Off 5th Avenue and were very gently worn. (Some were from SAKS, Bergdorf Goodman and Bloomingdales' on sale too)
I do not know how they treat the items when they are received however, I send them in impeccable condition. Everything has been dry-cleaned or washed and pressed. I wrap each item in a drycleaning bag so that it does not wrinkle in shipping and I send a list of every item with a description to them. When I saw them on her site they looked fine, however I would have liked it if she had used my descriptions as they were way better than theirs. I have noticed that some items that were not mine look pretty shabby in the photos and frankly I cannot imagine anyone having the nerve to try and sell them when they should be sent to Goodwill for donation. Do they do a good job? I cannot say yes or no.
I can say that the people I speak to on the phone are very courteous, they send:doggie: UPS to pick up my items at her expense and then the checks start coming in. Could I do better listing them myself? Then I would have to pack and ship them and deal with returns which I do not want to do. So far the experience has been painless.
