It's normal. When I cleaned my python for the first time my towel was really dirty. I also did use leather cream and my python box looks much better now, even since it was brand new.

I dont even touch anymore now. Which leather cream did you use??
is your python bag bright color or dark??
My Sa told me not to use anything on it.

I did some research on this forum (CL) and found out that some tpf'ers were using Bick4 on their python CLs. I bought it off ebay and I used it several times on my bright red box. It's in soo much better condition right now. The scales were a bit hard when I bought it and I was scared that they would break off because they were so dry. But now they're moist, more flexible and lay flat. I don't have pics from before and after but I can feel the difference. Last week I bought a whip snake box and I'm planning to use the cream asap.

Don't be scared and use your bag!

Hope this helps :smile1:

So is apple conditioner good to use on celine calfskin? I have a mini luggage in blue and unfortunately when it shipped there are some light surface scratches, not too bad but wondered is it better to buy la mer or will the apple conditioner be okay? So nervous. Thank you!

I just want to share that last night I used Blackrock on my Celine Slate Blue Box bag and it made the scratches less visible. I've only used the bag for about 2 weeks and it already got a 4inch long scratch at the back from I don't know where, plus some small scratches in front. I used blackrock on my preloved Hermes Black Box Kelly based on recommendations on the H thread so I decided to give it a try on my Celine. It worked great! I'm going to do a second application tonight. So ladies who owns the box, don't despair, there is a solution!

Does anybody have the problem that the color is chipping of from their phantoms leaving whitish spots? Is the leather so sensitive that it chips that easily and what do you do to prevent that?

I treated the phantom with Collonil Nanospray already. Hope that helps at least to protect the leather from dirt and water...

Can you share a pic? Also how long have you had it and what leather is it? Thanks!

I just got it used (haven't used it yet and it was used only a few times by the previous owner) and it was like that when I unpacked it. The spot on the handle was disclosed. The other ones she probably did not see. I initially thought that the more visible change on the corner was caused by me by unpacking, but I guess those rub-off were there already before. That bag can't be that sensitive, can it? The small spot on the front is very tiny, but quite visible because it is white on blue... The leather is calfskin. Color is slate blue.

The changes are the white spots.

Hey there. I've seen certain dyes lift off leather. Could that be what happened in pictures 1, 2 and 4? Not sure what the solution is, sadly. If your bag was black I'd suggest some black shoe polish.
:smile1:

Fortunately the spots seem really tiny.

As for picture 3, I daresay that's due to normal wear and tear. The folks at loving my bags might be able to dye the trouble spots. Until then, have you considered using a leather conditioner? It may diminish the white spots. Your bag is quite beautiful, hope these booboos don't diminish your love for your phantom.

Thank you for your suggestions. :-) Ya, that bag is gorgeous. I agree that pic 3 is probably just wear and can be come by. The other spots are not too bothering in their state now, but I am just a bit afraid as I do not know how easy they develop. Is that a rather rare defect or something which develop easily? How are the experience of other owners whose bags are not black? Do you see that kind of color chipping often?

Hi ladies,

I just brought home a Phantom in Electric Blue from Saks. I was on the reserve list and was thrilled to get it! I already have a black mini luggage in drummed leather. I'm not going to lie... Very concerned about the smooth leather. I already see a few little marks on it, and one tiny microscopic white spot like fettfleck mentioned above. I love that I can bop around with my drummed leather and am unsure if I'll be okay with this smooth phantom (I'm a little OCD). Any advice would be greatly appreciated on how I can protect/care for this bag (or if someone thinks maybe it's not the best choice for me)...

Hi all, last week I bough a celine phantom bag in flesh color (nude/pink) and I still did not use her as I am not sure how to protect. Today I ordered the collonil nano protect spray. Do you recommend it to use on such a lightly color? Can´t wait to use it. Do you recommend also the baby wipes for light color? Thanks all. xoxo

Hello,
I do have Celine Phantom cabas. It is new. I decided to use blackrock leather conditioner.

Has anyone successfully conditioned and/or waterproofed a cream or light-colored pebbled leather Celine bag? I recently purchased the Edge in black and cream, and am really afraid of doing anything to mess up the beautiful cream leather.

I saw a recommendation for Apple Leather Care to condition, followed by Collonil Waterstop to waterproof, pebbled leather. Just wondering if anyone has used either/both (or something else entirely) on cream or white leather?

TIA!

For those living in USA, Blackrock and Obenhauf's is good for Celine boxes. But because i live in Europe it was very difficult to find and expensive to buy, docride and a Celine SA in Geneva suggested i use Saphir Renovateur. I can swear by this cream. I used it on my coral, black and olive box. She smell and looks Perfect.
And for white or cream box, they suggested i use Meltonian.
Good luck ladies.
