Robee went to Target today (only in the States I believe) and they do not have the envelopes anymore. I will attempt to go to the office supply store or a scrap book supply store tomorrow. When my project is done I'll try to post some pics.

Okay I'm done with my weekend project...okay just one of my many need to do projects. So I searched high and low for acid free archival envelopes and found them at Office Depot. I went to Walmart...nothing....Staples (office supply store)....nothing....Michaels (arts and craft store)...nothing.....Target...nothing. I really like these envelopes. I can leave them zipped or unzipped. On top of that, I file them with the zipper on the side so water has a really hard time getting into it. The file expands so it holds the scarf without crushing it and it can hold plisses without any problems. I didn't use any cardboard inside and the scarves seem to stay put.

Thank you to the TPFer(s) that contributed to this thread. This will definitely increase the use of my scarves. BTW, 1 pk (3 envelopes) of envelopes is about $6.27 and my basket was only $14.99 at Michaels. The envelopes are 12 X 9 1/4" and fit a 90 carre snuggly. It also fits a GM shaw as shown in the 5th picture.

I love how neat those folders keep the scarves and you label them nicely!
This will be my project in the next 1 - 2 wks. I really need to store them properly and neatly if not DH will tell me : no more scarves if those oranges are everywhere.

Bornfree you're welcome

Robee it is like a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders! All my empty orange boxes are stacked neatly on the top closet shelf! This system is so much easier! Now I just have to go get cedar blocks to keep away those pesky moths!! Good luck on your project.
