Lanit,

You have a beautifully compact system--so organized, and everything looks so pristine!

Here, not so pristine,:girlsigh: but I do like that I can see them all in my changing room when I'm dressing.

I have, behind a glass cabinet door, two velvet-wrapped bars, and can drape 10-15 90cms on them at a time. I'll be able to add one or even two more bars....and then :graucho: I'll have to join Lanit, Dressage Queen, Marietouchet and others with a less visible, but very clever system.

Here's a pic:

My super-vintage scarves stay in their H boxes, and the only (so far!!) GM is on a hanger, carefully draped on the slacks bar and hung with other finer things.

Err-could not open/see your image - sounds marvelous. :confused1:

wow-thanks for sharing a great system scarfmama! So easy to access as you say, when you are dressing. If I ever move, and have the chance for custom shelving, I will go for drawers that can have trays in them like the H stores. Course the fixation kit would also be in my bedroom too for display. Then I will be in H paradise and have sweet H dreams!:cloud9:

lanit and Jadeite--Thanks for your kind comments....scarf are may be the nicest part of my little dressing room (certainly much nicer than the shoe mess, and t-shirt stacks!!). And lanit, ITA, Fixation has a definite place in any scarf lover's future!

But, I fear (hope.... :happydance: ) that my growing obsession w/H bags may eventually need it's own shrine....and tPFrs are enabling me daily (Jadeite-- that raisin Kelly:faint:........the medor clutch.....:faint:).

Today, a dressing room tomorrow, the H Accessory Shrine??

textilegirl, can you please show us how these envelopes work when you get them? TIA.

It took a while, but the envelopes finally arrived and I've begun the switch from sort-of chaos to reasonable order. I love the envelopes because they let the silk breathe since they are plastic on one side and fabric on the other. Getting the boards was a real pain but I got it done and they work :D.

I've not settled on a crate, filing system, basket or whatever to store the envelopes in, but my bigger problem was storing the scarves themselves so I'm happy with my progress thus far. I've left the plisse, the pointu and the chale in their orange boxes since I don't have enough of these sizes/styles yet (:graucho:) to confuse me. Since the company has different sizes of these envelopes, one or more of them may work.

scarf mama - what a gorgeous display! I can name most of the scarves in your collection but there are a few mysterious ones! I would love to display mine so beautifully, but I had to get space efficient about my silks.
