I find the subject of this week's scarf viewing to be pretty funny on a personal level. I have buried the ones I don't wear so far down I would need a backhoe to find them in order to take a picture. There is really nothing wrong with any of them except that I don't wear them. The problem is not really that they don't look good on me, but is more of an issue of not wearing the colored clothing required to showcase them. 3 out of 4 are in the brown family and I just never reach for brown. I did try to sell one of them, and even pristine at a reasonable price, it did not move so I concluded that that people don't like to wear brown all that much.

Agreed, but brown's just out of fashion. A few years ago it was hard to find navy and now we can so people are wearing it again.

I'll trade all my mistake turqoise ones for your browns - I am sooo slow on the uptake, making the same mistake repeatedly, no excuse apart from them looking so good in the evil bay pictures and probably under a stark California sun - not so much in Northern Europe's darken winter days.

Deal. I love turquoise scarves and of course wouldn’t you know that I live in So Cal!

Little voice told me that silver Mors and brown tweed don’t “go” so will try again and with navy blue tomorrow. Have never tried with dark violet either, Ksuromax, but I will.

All my others just seem to work whatever I throw on. Or maybe I’m deluding myself.

Hee hee- I found about 1 total knot that I can use to hide the green border that looks so bad on me, so I leave it tied that way in case I want to wear it. It does look nice with blue outfits inthe summer.

I pulled out the backhoe and dug up my totally unworn L’art Indiens des Plaines and realized it was full of wonderful blues and it would look great with a jean jacket.




So thank you scarfies for making me pull out the unloved only to rethink my options.

Well, I’m not a pink lover, but this is gorgeous. I just love the beige and brown painterly design against the pink. I don’t think I would tire of this scarf. But I hear ya...

This is a WHOLE lot better, pirula! Now the pink in your scarf really has a chance to shine. I think in your previous photo, the two pinks (scarf and cardi) were fighting with each other.
I do know what you mean, though, about certain scarves working no matter what you're wearing, and others needing particular outfits to shine. So then the question becomes, do you love the scarf enough to put in that extra work? Is it worthwhile having a "high maintenance" scarf???
Off topic (sort of)... I had a high maintenance boyfriend once. Dumped him.

Ok, I'm ready to play! So I also made the "filling a hole in my collection" move and bought a maxi twilly at the last sale. I haven't reached for it since I bought it. I don't know why. I just might not be a maxi twilly person. I played around with it today and here it is. I think it's OK. I think part of my problem is not knowing how to tie it so I like it. I tried a giant bow and it was pukeworthy.

Your giant bow comment made me laugh out loud.
