Ah, those bird scarves!😍😍😍

Morning,
I have different favourite formats depends on the time of year. Now in summer or any hot days I’ll always pick the 70. I love the vintage silk feel and draping, I wish they did more designs in the 70s.
In the winter is for sure the CSGM 140 I always carry one with me.
But the 90s are the most special with many designers and beautiful designs.
Today wearing my latest 70, one I got on the sample sale.
Have a lovely day everyone

My favourite format has always been the 140 cashmere. It was the first scarf I bought from Hermès, and I have worn one every single day since.

I find them soft, warm and comfortable. They brighten up my wardrobe and are so versatile. I live in Belgium so even in the summer, I wear them over light summer clothes, chilly evenings, on the AC train/in AC office, and even on the beach.

Lately I have been loving the giant triangles a lot too, but that is for another post.

I’m sorry to be late with my blue post in honour of Diana. I remember not so long ago when I posted that I didn’t have many blue scarves - my, how times have changed! I also have a few more on my wishlist after this week too.

@GloWW0rM what an inspiring array of beautiful blues! We are twins on three of them and sisters on two!

Good morning and happy Monday. I love the 90 format for the versatility of styling. Today I am wearing a nice, cool scarf necklace! This is a great option when the weather bounces between hot, humid and breezy. My scarf is off my neck and will not flap around.

I am quite drawn to what you’ve done here with this tie, @LKBNOLA, and have bookmarked it. I cannot wait to try it. Twinsies on the scarf, too!

When it’s too hot for a scarf…. The bag gets a turn! Gavroches are my favorite way to dress up a bag with a scarf, much more than twillys.

View attachment 6204266
@Jereni I had never even thought about tying a gavroche to a bag! I love this and will emulate! I did go to a wedding this weekend with my ELEK CSGM tied to my small shoulder bag until I needed to wear it for warmth.

@Cookiefiend What a stunning lineup of gorgeous designs! I am on the hunt for a Diamyo in a certain colorway that my sister-in-law has and that I fell in love with when she brought out her scarves last time we were in Evansville visiting family. The detail of your Belle Chasse is exquisite! 🤩

Another thing I love about a 90: a bodacious border! Flowers of South Africa is a great example:

Once I learned to tie scarves (my Pandemic Project), I discovered so many great options. Of course, there is nothing new about using a scarf as a belt, but a bias fold can be used to emphasize colors, designs or corners. In this case, I wanted to show mostly the wonderful blues!
FoSA as a belt with Etrivier scarf ring (and clearly I need longer arms for this kind of mod shot!)

A great tie to show off the border is one I learned on TPF: the "Angel Wing Knot"

And when there is as much border as FoSA has, even an Asymmetrical Knot can let it shine:

Thank you for indulging my silk "border crossings" this morning!

Views and mushrooms and Mountain Laurel, Oh, my! And, oh yes, that scarf. 🧡 🖤💚 Thank you for a beautiful uplifting post @Teaforparrots.
Add me to the crew who loves this knot! Saving off for future reference. Hoping to twin with you on this scarf at some point here.
Thank you @Jereni! I will keep an eye out for you!

I love the 70s too @Orange_addict and they have a very particular use for me as well. I also think they are great for travel...

Two beautiful shawls: the beginning and the most recent! Just wonderful @redheaddem. Congratulations on your Cheval de Coeur!

Thank you! I am eager to see everyone's takes on this simple variation. @Lellabelle and @GloWW0rM often use the double bovas on a bias fold and @bunnycat originated the idea with the cowboy fold-- when I realized (thanks to Lellabelle) that the knots work the way they do on my H Lift pendant to shorten and lengthen, I had an Aha! moment.
2nd attempt at this scarf-around-the-waist look…. and still feeling self-conscious… and end up leaving scarf at home 😝
You look so cute in these @JavaJo! Go straight back home and grab one-- we must be brave and bold; our silks expect no less from us! :winkiss:

Gotta love a bodacious border! Fun to see this worn all these different ways. I would never have thought to pair a design like this with stripes, but it works excellently.
