Spectacular! AAAAA++++++ Amazing ensemble and perfect eecution @darkstar66!Hello, I made it! (Bova is not my strong point, sometimes I am successful, and sometimes not. 🫣).With my new Séléné and doesn't the Missoni skirt coordinate really beautifully?View attachment 6204775View attachment 6204776

So beautiful Anna - and I totally get the 140 moussie love!My first and true love is silk 90s. That’s the format I both wear and collect (meaning that I have some old scarves I never really wear, but love having).
But I have developed quite an affinity for the 140 mousselines over the past few years. I do have some 90 mousselines, but it is really easy to pick up a large mousseline to wear when heading out. They are also a great format for California.
Here is my Marine Naïve. I more an orange bracelet but forgot to photograph

As always, so artfully tied, LKB!Another thing I love about a 90: a bodacious border! Flowers of South Africa is a great example:

Once I learned to tie scarves (my Pandemic Project), I discovered so many great options. Of course, there is nothing new about using a scarf as a belt, but a bias fold can be used to emphasize colors, designs or corners. In this case, I wanted to show mostly the wonderful blues!
FoSA as a belt with Etrivier scarf ring (and clearly I need longer arms for this kind of mod shot!)

A great tie to show off the border is one I learned on TPF: the "Angel Wing Knot"

And when there is as much border as FoSA has, even an Asymmetrical Knot can let it shine:

Thank you for indulging my silk "border crossings" this morning!
Lovely, Tea!Well, here I am bothering these sunflowers because I wanted to grab a photo by some yellow flowers to coordinate with my scarf. The lighting didn’t work when I tried to take the photo in front of the flowers, hence the gentle twist. And these sunflowers don’t owe me anything because they sowed themselves! 😆View attachment 6204768
The 70s are marvelous and this is lovely!Morning,
I have different favourite formats depends on the time of year. Now in summer or any hot days I’ll always pick the 70. I love the vintage silk feel and draping, I wish they did more designs in the 70s.
In the winter is for sure the CSGM 140 I always carry one with me.
But the 90s are the most special with many designers and beautiful designs.
Today wearing my latest 70, one I got on the sample sale.
Have a lovely day everyone
Lovely! And I might be jealous that you can wear them year round! My favourite format has always been the 140 cashmere. It was the first scarf I bought from Hermès, and I have worn one every single day since.
I find them soft, warm and comfortable. They brighten up my wardrobe and are so versatile. I live in Belgium so even in the summer, I wear them over light summer clothes, chilly evenings, on the AC train/in AC office, and even on the beach.
Lately I have been loving the giant triangles a lot too, but that is for another post.

Thank you! The jacquard on the Diamyo is so beautiful - which cw are you looking for?@Cookiefiend What a stunning lineup of gorgeous designs! I am on the hunt for a Diamyo in a certain colorway that my sister-in-law has and that I fell in love with when she brought out her scarves last time we were in Evansville visiting family. The detail of your Belle Chasse is exquisite! 🤩
NOOOO - you look amazing!!2nd attempt at this scarf-around-the-waist look…. and still feeling self-conscious… and end up leaving scarf at home 😝
oh oh... an inappropriate song has just taken root in my mind!Another thing I love about a 90: a bodacious border! Flowers of South Africa is a great example:

Thank you sweetheart! All are just beautiful. I love your vintage bird scarves @Cookiefiend! (and thank you!)
Views and mushrooms and Mountain Laurel, Oh, my! And, oh yes, that scarf. 🧡 🖤💚 Thank you for a beautiful uplifting post @Teaforparrots.
Thank you @Jereni! I will keep an eye out for you!
I love the 70s too @Orange_addict and they have a very particular use for me as well. I also think they are great for travel...
Two beautiful shawls: the beginning and the most recent! Just wonderful @redheaddem. Congratulations on your Cheval de Coeur!
Thank you! I am eager to see everyone's takes on this simple variation. @Lellabelle and @GloWW0rM often use the double bovas on a bias fold and @bunnycat originated the idea with the cowboy fold-- when I realized (thanks to Lellabelle) that the knots work the way they do on my H Lift pendant to shorten and lengthen, I had an Aha! moment.
You look so cute in these @JavaJo! Go straight back home and grab one-- we must be brave and bold; our silks expect no less from us!![]()
Love this - you and your flower!Well, here I am bothering these sunflowers because I wanted to grab a photo by some yellow flowers to coordinate with my scarf. Thank you! I wish they did too... it's why I'm still on the hunt for many vintage scarves!Whoa, the detail on that Belle Chasse is out of this world! I wish H was still doing some scarves like that.
Very cute look, and omg those vacation photos are wonderful! That last one with the sun thru the trees should be framed.
These are so happy and cheerful! They shine on you.
Gotta love a bodacious border! Fun to see this worn all these different ways. I would never have thought to pair a design like this with stripes, but it works excellently.
100% success! It's marvelous!Hello, I made it! (Bova is not my strong point, sometimes I am successful, and sometimes not. 🫣).With my new Séléné and doesn't the Missoni skirt coordinate really beautifully?View attachment 6204775View attachment 6204776
This is just perfect Jereni! One of my favorite things about scarves is how you can rediscover them! I’d really cooled on 70s lately, and this one in particular I was thinking I needed to let go bc I don’t seem to reach for it as much.
Turns out I just needed to do better styling! Jungle Love Stamped today.

I hope you find one that works for you - it's an amazing design!Love this outfit! Im loving seeing the Selene on everyone, it’s not one that I think I would be able to wear but I absolutely love the artwork and the colors on everyone else!
Thank you!! Always so happy to twin with you.@GloWW0rM what an inspiring array of beautiful blues! We are twins on three of them and sisters on two!
I have this watch, therefore I NEED this shawl to go with it. Love it!YES!! Does anyone know how to get rid of it??
On topic: Grand Theatre Nouveau CSGM today - these shawls are perfect for summer A/C on the commuter trains…

Well done on the LKB knot!Good evening!
Apologies for dropping in infrequently these weeks as I am relaxing in the cabin in the wilderness (aka a deliberately overgrown garden) without many scarves and even less clothes to match.
But I must repeat the choir of 90 carré love. 95% of my scarves are 90x90, though I have come to love the 140 and 100 cashmeres lately. 90 are versatile, and as I am not a petite lady The smaller formats are difficult to wear properly I think. But the 90s are just enough silk to wear in both big and smaller ways.
I am happy to try the new (to me) version of bova knot which @LKBNOLA and @darkstar66 have just demonstrated with my sotd Kachinas for a trip to the local village before the rainstorm hit us.

Also sharing a snapshot from the grounds. My main function in the cabin is to keep everyone fed - including the songbirds. No bird will go hungry to nest tonight. And only a few mice and squirrels have been observed at the buffet

Wish you all a week of wellbeing!
<le sigh>Thank you to @Cookiefiend for hosting this thought provoking theme week.
I am starting with a 90 carré - this format and my SOTD were my first H, my first love so to speak.

Recently, I am feeling quite satisfied with my selection of 90s (although of course there are still some grails to hunt and new temptations to ponder with every new season)
I do think the 90 silk is the most elegant format and I feel like many designs look the best in a 90 with the beautiful silk twill sheen that other formats lack..
