Hello,
My favourites are the 90 twill silks. For me, the glow of pure silk is unparalleled and enhances colours and design elements gloriously, see Séléné in petrol for example. Then there is the format. I think no other format is so versatile as the 90s. GloWW0rM has demonstrated this nicely with her new kaki Séléné in the seasonal thread. There are, however, also some inconveniences for me. In summer, I tend to sweat with a silk 90 around my neck due to heat and high humidity. In winter, a silk is often not enough for me, at least outside. And, for me the biggest flaw, when wearing it, I often cannot SEE my 90 scarf or only small parts of it, but my vis-à-vis can (or else I'd have to look in a mirror constantly ). Okay, in this tie I can see my Chemins du Corail. :lol:View attachment 6204272
Très chic, darkstar!

Good morning and happy Monday. I love the 90 format for the versatility of styling. Today I am wearing a nice, cool scarf necklace! This is a great option when the weather bounces between hot, humid and breezy. My scarf is off my neck and will not flap around.

Thank you so much dear ladies! This is just Mai Tai's Croisée with Bova knots. I like it because not bringing the tails up behind the neck keeps the necklace low and it allows that super red hem to show! I am so happy you liked it... I will look forward to your examples @darkstar66. Delighted to be twins @labelo and @Croisette7. ♊
Ooooh, I have this cw and I love this tie for it! a great way to highlight the contrast hem!
This is sooo beautifully tied, love it, LKB!❤️

When it’s too hot for a scarf…. The bag gets a turn! Gavroches are my favorite way to dress up a bag with a scarf, much more than twillys.

And thinking about the quality of these early scarves - it cannot be beat.

It’s incredible, and a testament to the quality of the silk!

That said :giggle: I’m wearing a moussie stole (a favorite too!) Chasse en Inde today!

I’m sorry to be late with my blue post in honour of Diana. I remember not so long ago when I posted that I didn’t have many blue scarves - my, how times have changed! I also have a few more on my wishlist after this week too.

Beautiful beautiful blues! I didn’t realize (or forgot) that we are twins on the Orto shawl!

I share your negatives about the 90s but also yes that they are just the best! The cw of that Chemins is so striking.

Add me to the crew who loves this knot! Saving off for future reference. Hoping to twin with you on this scarf at some point here.

My first and true love is silk 90s. That’s the format I both wear and collect (meaning that I have some old scarves I never really wear, but love having).

But I have developed quite an affinity for the 140 mousselines over the past few years. I do have some 90 mousselines, but it is really easy to pick up a large mousseline to wear when heading out. They are also a great format for California.

Here is my Marine Naïve. I more an orange bracelet but forgot to photograph :)
