A lovely scarf and way to wear it. What a cool morning resolutionI’m new too. I’ve been so moved by the stories and memories of Diana. You have a wonderful community of scarf fans.
This is my first summer in an apt with a terrace and I woke up one morning with the plan to wear scarf tops all season. Some wallet damage later, enjoying a quiet morning in Please Hold The Line.
Perfect scarf and wonderful on your stripes @darkstar66. You remind me of the saying "The days go slow but the years fly by." Before you know it ...Hello and good morning,
My last scarf for this week is la ronde des heures which I wore a lot when I purchased it 38 years ago. It reminds me that time passes quickly and is in fact galopping the older you get. Thank you, AnnaE, for a week full of emotions and memories and for hosting a final farewell to a precious friend. It has deeply moved me.View attachment 6203436
Lovely @Croisette7. I haven't worn mine yet but I am getting wonderful styling ideas, like this one on pale green. Lovely necklace that perfectly picks up the colors @Croisette7. Your moussie on that top is beautiful, too. I am very lucky to be twins on both of these!
Safe travels, @Redbirdhermes-- I hope you feel just as free as your scarf's title...I'm flying this morning with my sky blue Libres Comme L'Air and am currently seated near the Prince store at the airport. Both seem like a fitting goodbye to Diana. Thank you, @AnnaE, for hosting this Farewell Week.

Wonderful @AnnaE! Who doesn't love a Samouraïs? (Especially this one!) I remember it was a favorite of hers.As a final post this week, I wanted to share a cashmere shawl that Diana loved. I had always assumed I am allergic to cashmere after a particularly itchy encounter with an Acte III CSGM. Diana loved her cashmeres, although she didn’t have many occasions to wear them in California. I asked Joel to borrow one just to take a photo with this week, but it actually looks like I can wear them! I wore it to dinner yesterday (Spare a thought for my bank account…)
Thank you all for an opportunity to host this week. It is not a task one ever wants to have a reason to undertake, but for those of us who knew and loved Diana, it has been a poignant experience. Diana’s husband Joel has also been reading all the tributes. Thank you all for your beautiful posts.

Lovely @Jereni! Such a great design in all the cws... Diana would approve, I am sure!I will add one more blue to this tribute week - my first blue, Jardin des Peintres, from the archives. Thank you @Anna for leading us through everyone’s sweet memories of her, I hope everyone who knew her is doing ok.

This is a beautiful Maharani @Nomad and don't fret-- we "get the picture"!!! And how nice that Diana enabled you on this particular scarf.I am not posting a blue one in honor of Diana, but one she had in her collection that absolutely inspired me to get myself. I have a screenshot of her wearing hers in my digital wishlist folder. It only took me 4-5 years haha. As others have said, she loved pink and other colors and formats too, as this green and pink Jardin de la maharani in her collection proves.
And I am convinced that this entire summer I will never have good lighting for modshots :-/.

As Pirula stated - Diana did like other colors too - like pink!

Have a joyful day!
A beautiful introduction @Cookiefiend -- very comprehensive! It is always good to see some of the beauties in your collection and even more than that an Introductory Poem!!!Good morning Scarflandia!
Thank you all so much for your participation last week - I so appreciate it and it meant more than you know.
This week we’ll delve deep into our psyches and talk about a deep subject….
SOTD - YOUR PREFERRED FORMAT AND WHY
Well now - that’s an interesting question…
And might require some introspection!
You would think that since I do keep a spreadsheet
<Coz - I like to be neat>
That I’d be certain of my silky favorite
<my heart is split>
But I can’t pick just one!
<Coz - that’s no fun!>
Anywho - your favorite format.
Uhhhhh…..
So… the 90’s, the 140’s?

(But which 140 - summer silk or cashmere+silk?)
The 100’s, the losange?
View attachment 6203829
View attachment 6203830
(But what about the stoles?)
The wee sweet gavs, the twilly?
View attachment 6203831
View attachment 6203832
(And what about the maxi twillys and the 70’s?)
Let’s knot forget the Moussies in all their formats!
View attachment 6203833
(what about the plisse and the formats I’ve forgotten!)
So many decisions!
It’s gonna cause a collision!
My scarf drawers are gonna have a fit
If they find out another’s the shizz-nit!
So I’m keepin’ it on the down low
Gonna take it slow
Keep it quiet
Keep ‘em from fightin’
Shhhhhhhhhhh
What’s s your favorite format?

Fabulous, LKB! ... collecting ELeK is a never ending story, I know!Thank you to @AnnaE for leading us through a lovey farewell week for a fellow member of our beloved Scarflandia. And many thanks to @Cookiefiend for picking up the baton. At first I thought this week will be impossibly hard! How to choose? I love them all! But that same difficulty can be turned on its head and made into a big advantage since it means I can just post what I am wearing and write a little homage in form of a rationale
In all seriousness, while I have expanded my collection into many formats I had not considered before, my heart was first lost and will forever belong to the 90 Silk Twill. Ex Libris en Kimonos was the scarf I fell madly in love with and the one that started my serious collecting journey. It also taught me that when I love a design, I will collect it in multiple formats. Since my first beautiful ELeK was gifted to me in those early days, I have added four more 90s and two CSGMs. It seems only right to start this week off with two TPF enabled examples, because as they say, "Ya gotta dance with the one what brung ya to the party." I will always try to add more ELeKs if they happen to come my way...
My second cw of Ex Libris en Kimonos entirely enabled by @momasaurus!
