Thank you dear Nomad! Yes, it is my cw, I knew it existed but never saw it on the market or modeled before!Absolutely stunning! I’m so happy you found it in your colorway. Because believe me, it’s your colorway!
Thank you @Jereni-- the blue is very charming. I could totally see it in your closet!Amazing looks, all 3! I suppose I might be tall enough to do this… will have to try at some point perhaps. I esp love the blue cw you have of this design.
Thank you @SilkCashmereCotton-- I am actually delighted to have a scarf to pair those earrings with! I have really enjoyed your posts as I catch up on the weeks I was away from the thread. I would love to see your Paladin, too. Loved your A Travers Champs. I have been trying to collect that design forever and just haven't found the right cw. Loved your scarf acquisition story behind it...Expert pattern mixing as always, @LKBNOLA! Such a charming scarf and those earrings are delightful. I always enjoy seeing Navajo stampings used in unexpected ways on jewelry.
Okay - that JL moussie over the olive tank dress is inspired - fabulous!
Thank you too for your kind words - I do indeed have a dip dye JL in a scrumptious cyclamen color!
Thank you so much! It is truly an amazing scarf - we are twins too - yes?![]()
Oh, @Maedi thank you! That was my very first cw with the craie background and I fell very hard for it. And thank you so much for the thumbs up on my other scarf adventures. My new necklace is a joy to wear, though probably some of my shoes and jewelry are probably older than some of our lovely scarfies! What a super cool and versatile accessory this necklace is. I am smitten with both looks, a little more in love with the craie and coral/watermelon. Sooo pretty!
You are a vision in saffron and whimsey @GloWW0rM! I love this cw of Potager and had it once myself. Since then I have a new one to debut-- thank you for the inspiration on a great look...It’s been too hot to wear scarves this week so I’m sharing one of my favourite scarves (archive): Le Potager Extraordinaire with a contrast colour. Please, weather, cool down so I can wear this beauty again.

Today was a really good day! I logged a personal best in 50m sprint at the pool, where I encountered a friend who decided to get back into swimming having been inspired by my social media posts about my swimming progress and my hopes that someone who was thinking about swimming would give it a try for its phenomenal health benefits.
They did! That was so rewarding. Incredible pep in my step to start the day, and then my DD went out to lunch with me at a swanky place I know she doesn't care for but she knows I adore all because I must have said the right thing at the right time. Teenagers can be a challenge. At lunch we got to really, really talk and it was just the best icing on the cake of a wonderful day.
And I got to wear this 70 before it gets too hot for the summer. Rendez-vous Gallant, which I picked because of the pairs of animals / lovers and the MONKEYS! So adorable. Taking it off, I noticed the sweetest detail -- above where the brand appears is a little arrow heart carved into the tree trunk.
And then next to it, one of the only animals on the scarf that doesn't have a pair. So strange. Maybe its pair is the cat on the opposing side, maybe a little game of cat and mouse, foes not friends. I would love to know the artist's inspiration for those two not being paired off. Well with feathers like that hanging off its apparent ears, it got my attention! Having no idea about this bird, I googled to learn more, and woah boy! This bird is out of this world. It's called a King of Saxony bird of paradise and those feathers are totally that long and articulated and look simultaneously super fragile and strong AF with the way it whips them around in its mating display. This bird resides in Papua New Guinea and if you're brave enough to hear its call, prepare yourself for what seems like a rendez-vous with some space alien! That is exactly what this bird sounds like.
Best comment: Are we sure this bird isn't an alien?
Kind of makes one wonder!

Thank you @Nomad! Need to find ways to beat the heat, right?Oh wow! This is inspiring! And flawless execution of the two scarves![]()
You are brave @HermesEchidna! Wishing you a happy celebration of a worthy event in history!Good morning!!
Sotd was chosen for a celebratory seminar today for Women’s acces to universities in Denmark 150 years ago. That is worth a parade. And some black and white contrasts.
Hermes parade held into place with a carefully attached brooch (needle long enough to go around the scarf - not through 😱)

Every time you bring out another Brazil, I am so busy bookmarking! Beautiful colors @Croisette7. And no, I do not have a pink Kawa Ora CSGM-- I would love to see yours!Thank you, LKB! so we're twins on the pink as well?
Thank you for the moussie overdress photo, LKB. As I have the same, this is a great inspiration. 😍
Very lovely "pattern-mixing" with your blouse @darkstar66-- that's a lovely Voyage en Etoffes! Thank you for all your inspired styling; it makes me happy to inspire/encourage with the JL Stamp mousseline. I have several simple long silk dresses that this style works very well with. You can tie it as shown in the Knot Card deck or as I did, I tied it to my choker and concealed the ends inside the neckline of the dress. I agree also with your comment to @Jereni that a mors ring is a great way to lengthen a scarf for a belt or a top-- sometimes we are grateful for an extra inch or two!Hello,
As promised, my recently bought Voyage en étoffes with Etro today.
Edited to add, I shrug out of this rather quickly, hot, hot, hot and no AC in our house, it is not really common in Switzerland.

I am glad you liked the moussie look! We are MP twins @Cookiefiend. My sister has it on loan at the moment, but here's a mod shot that could have worked for this week! I paired with a "burn-out" blouse:

Where to begin? Congratulations on your personal best for the 50m sprint, on inspiring your friend and on a beautiful scarf. This is such a pretty cw @EtsyBoss! And of course, the video was priceless!

I very rarely wear two scarves together. Just a quick review of mod shots indicates that I've worn a gav with a CSGM one time, a 70 with a GT one time, a 90 under a CSGM a few times and double twillies or double gavs just two or three times each. I am nowhere near as creative as our lovely @darkstar66 who has been knocking double scarf styling out of the park, but years ago I did try a Mai Tai halter tie with two 70s. @Karenska's week is the perfect theme to indulge in some experimentation so I decided to try it with two 90s instead. They are folded in a triangle, joined slightly above center, tied behind the neck and then behind the back. I don't know how to take a decent mirror selfie so I split the look into two photos. It is pretty dramatic and very long-- especially on one as height-challenged as yours truly. But it could be fun if one were younger, taller and braver...

I did say "experiment" right? Just wanted to be clear. As Polonius said to Laertes, "To thine own self be true." Well that is useful advice and "mine own" true scarf self is more likely to be found wearing these beauties like this...one of these is my SOTD!

Thank you for letting me blow off some styling steam! This is one of my absolute favorite summer scarf designs and both the blue and the craie were very good sports to go along with this little scarf adventure![]()
Aaaaaaaaaaa so hot!! I’m currently recovering from a trip outside to pick up a friend’s car at a Home Depot parking lot (long story). I put on a high contrast but low warmth SOTD and popped out to the porch to take a very quick photo before retreating back into the air conditioning. View attachment 6191946

Oh, silly me-- I was reading too fast @Croisette7! Yes!!! The beautiful pink Marwari dip dye. Probably my favorite of all... I am going to wear it this week...Thank you, LKB! ... that was a misunderstanding, no pink Kawa but pink Marwari DD.
Thank you so much sweet @redheaddem!!! I am glad my post gave you some pleasure. It was fun to have the time for scarf play-- like children with their dress-up costume boxHaha, you are very creative and I love seeing your experiments @LKBNOLA .
I personally find styling one scarf at the time challenging enough 😋
I love your scarves (Isola I believe?) and especially the stunning bright blue! Gorgeous with that lipstick too.
Honestly I think it’s just the most basic possible approach?Oh, huge congratulations @FA73! It is a beautiful cw and so lovely styled with your jewelry. I had to have this design as my maternal grandparents were born and raised in Buenos Aires (in fact, I still have family there). I see you linked to BirkinMary's wonderful little photo essay about this scarf and its meanings for @EtsyBoss. I loved that so much I put a link to it in my scarf notes. I am so very happy you found this. We see it so rarely and it is a beautiful scarf, rich in detail, history and the gaucho traditions.
You do not look like someone braving a heat wave at all @Teaforparrots! You look fresh and chic and please tell me how you tied your gav. I love it with the mors ring but it looks so much neater than my attempts ever do...
Gosh this is a beautiful pairing @Croisette7! I am your sister with the pink Marwari DD but the green is TDF and especially with your paisley. This is such a fine example of exactly what I love about a dip dye!
Very pretty in pink @AnnaE!!! I love all the shades together...
I am with you @Karenska. For me black will always be the new black-- or the forever black, or something like that!I love all these looks and that litter of kittens is too cute! Your green bandana is stunning.
This is beautiful @Cookiefiend. Not just the hem but the silver, the colors and of course your signature Impossible Knot!
Sorry, no more available, it's gone.🥲Oh hello twinsie! It is beautiful on teal @Jereni. Thank you for the color inspiration!

Thank you so much sweet @redheaddem!!! I am glad my post gave you some pleasure. It was fun to have the time for scarf play-- like children with their dress-up costume box(and as for you and Potager-- there is a glorious yellow one and a bright pink cw-- I hope you find one! I think @Croisette7 has the yellow Potager...)
So pretty! ... the Carrosserie is tdf!Well our dear Scarf Mistress @Karenska was encouraging color pairings with black and I aim to please! Here is my new scarf mail-- I am so thrilled to have found this particular cw of Space Shopping au Faubourg. Recently I have found some of my wish list items not at the usual resellers but at vintage or antique shops. They do not have a great deal of inventory but occasionally luck and availability coincide at a fair price. My SOTD for meeting a dear friend of long years for lunch-- she is just off the plane from Paris and Florence and now here for her annual family reunion! I can't wait to hear all her news.

And here are two recent mod shots also featuring black: I Like Flowers 70 with a eye-popping pink linen dress and a pretty turquoise Carrosserie on a black top. I know @Karenska is also a big fan of Ledoux!
