Congrats on the gorgeous scarf mail! You look like an autumn vision. It is unseasonably gray and cooler here and it’s funny how quickly it’s shifted me in to going 100% in on fall.
Effortless look! I’m also enjoying the colder spurt of weather in some ways, even tho it feels so oddly early. Your earrings are a classic.
Today was Duo Cosmique bc it feels like fall!

I don’t have any Christine Henry, Gloire is an older design that is probably more theme-adjacent.

Yay Friday!

Thank you so much for the earring and scarf mail compliments @Jereni! I love your Duo Cosmique and am so glad you went for the Gloire de Guillaume-- it is a wonderful piece and looks great on you!
Taking a look is never useless, LKB. You know as I know that taking a look quiets your soul. One way or the other. :sleepy:
Hello and good morning,
This is my third and last CSGM by Christine Henry, La Légende du Poisson Corail. I bought it some weeks ago with the precious help of our fabulous @Croisette7 . And yes, @HermesEchidna , she doesn't only design flowers. :rolleyes:View attachment 6217629View attachment 6217630View attachment 6217631View attachment 6217632
 Yes, indeed one way or the other, a look is always good! I am loving the beautiful soft colors of your Poissons CSGM @darkstar66! A beautiful and lucky find based on the alert of your kind enabler!
The only Christiane Vauzelles in my collection, Cols verts, which I got as a birth year scarf.

As opposed to my other vintage scarves, this one was unworn. The seller told me it was framed all those years as part of an exhibit somewhere in the UK. Maybe that is why it is quite stiff, which makes it nice for ruffles and other fancy knots. I like the camo effect.

View attachment 6217375
This really does tie up with a beautiful camo effect @FA73-- I would love to collect this but it seems to have been made in such a dizzying array of cws and I have not seen many in real life... this is really versatile and pretty!
:dog:Still running today in prep to move my baby into the dorms tomorrow, :crybaby:

so here’s some additional C.Vauzelles from the archives:

:drinks:
Keep ‘em comin’!
Thanks ever-so much for sharing the Story Behind of Nuées Imaginares! @LKBNOLA
(It was glaringly missing from my nerd notes):rtr:
*I also am guilty of filling up a lipstick drawer when the scarf big bit me, but I fear there’s little hope for my earring game.

FAN :yahoo:TASTIC bandana -
goes soooo well with that sweater (stripes are my favorite color)
Hang in there, Mama! Today we can be grateful for cellphones to keep our young ones a bit closer even when they are spreading their wings... And thank you for sharing your beauties-- love the look with the "rosy knot" echoed by the pattern of your blouse @turfnsurf.
Late to the Vauzelles party. Not much to say about Autumn Leaves, except yes, the song/poem FEUILLES MORTES by Prévert dates to the time of the silk design. See Google for song story.
So, I collaged mine. Gray green lilac leaves with an inky green border. Brown field with fall colors. Black field with psychedelic leaves,. Gray leaves on pink field

Another of my fav Vauzelles designs , La Berline d Or, a Lichtenstein carriage the was featured in museum article ca 1980. I was doing the collage and the striped version just looked cool

Happy to see you hosting @turfnsurf

I intend to wear these unworn Christine Henry shawls this autumn

Wait, @orchard, do you mean unworn unworn or not recently worn? These surely are too beautiful not to be in a regular rotation. That Au Pays des Oiseaux Fleurs is a dream...
Goofing around with my scarf parrots - one of which seems to be about to grab my earring 😆 - and my kitty, who would surely love to grab a parrot! 🦜 View attachment 6217804View attachment 6217805
Very cute photo @Teaforparrots (there's a lot going on!).
Not on theme but, first appearance of Jours de Casting, which arrived this morning!
Not sure how to tie it, so I give you both.

Congratulations on your new-in @CoastalCouture! This is a fabulous cw-- I went for the blue but I really love this one. It is not easy to tie honestly but it is so fun for a dog lover to own!

Today, I pulled one of my first (pre-collecting days!) Christine Henry designs-- one which remains a great favorite with me. L'Arbre de la Vie was issued in AW 2011 and was a special occasion gift. In the years since I added two additional cws (one scarfluenced by @Cookiefiend and @Karenska) and the one I am wearing today. Here is the scarf story:
Like a metaphor, this fabric tree speaks to us of the bond that unites mankind to the vegetal world, that essential ingredient of textiles. In the tropics, bark is beaten until it becomes soft and supple, in Western Africa, hibiscus, n India jute or in Asia certain types of nettles…Flowers, leaves and fruit all lavish their colors. A portrait of the world, genealogy of techniques and resources, these are a bit of what these lines contain. Each leaf is decorated with geometric patterns symbolizing a culture, a belief or a social status… and whose complexity at time conjures up a sort of magic protecting from harm or summoning luck.

@darkstar66 - You’ve done such a great job picking the ideal lavender top for your silk beauty; the effect is so harmonious & flattering on you :hbeat:

I’m still waiting for one of these to ideally fall in my lap… that collage should be produced by H; it’s stunning!

Sublime @orchard !!
I’m very partial to this color combo and the proportions of red to green are ideal :girlsigh:

I love the jewelry you used to accessorize this lovely design… they look so great together

I'm wearing the B-side of Tigre Royal double face today. It is less bright than the A-side, but I think that my fuchsia t-shirt is plenty bright enough.

Tigre Royal is my scarf of the day. Twins with @darkstar66 and probably others.

The contrast of pastels with hot pink is such a happy combination @Redbirdhermes… & lovely smile

It’s a win to get a tie just right to showcase the yummy details @Teaforparrots & I love how the stripes in this design make an appearance also (psst- your puddy-tat is adorable) :cat:

Thanks for the kind words dear @LKBNOLA :hugs:
I’m one step closer to being an empty-nester and honestly didn’t think it’d affect me :shrugs:
