Thank you everyone for your very tactful reception of my Scarf Adventure. It was fun to play around!
For @Cookiefiend and @EtsyBoss, I joined the two scarves with a medium sized CdA (shown below). You can make a knot, but I found that bulky and I worried that it would work itself loose (horrors!). Here is also a photo of the look with two 70s. For me, I am not small enough to join the 70s in the back with a knot. I had to use a Mors ring to get the extra inches. That's just more fuss and bother than I can handle...

Thank you @Lellabelle and @darkstar66. I did find a photo of a 140 moussie as an overdress. I can't figure out how to get both my face and my feet in the mirror but my DD helped blur the messy background so I am not embarrassed to share!

Thank you, I am glad you like it, twin! Kawa Ora was the second CSGM I ever bought from the H.Com website (along with Peuple du Vent in marine/gris chiné). I could not find a 90 that I loved for me and I was very inspired by @Croisette7 on the shawl. It continues to be a favorite @FA73 💙 💚

Thank you @Croisette7! You were my inspiration to get that cw!

Thank you, sweetheart! I believe you have a beautiful pink JL dipdye-- do I remember correctly @Cookiefiend? And thank you for the Halter Idea love, too

OMG, @EtsyBoss! Thank you so much for this enthusiastic response. I am glad you enjoyed my fun scarf play. My 24 year-old granddaughter was visiting this weekend and she thought it would be a good look for an art gallery opening. I think I would want to stand with my back to a wall (not far from you among the plants!) although I did neaten up the look by pulling the ends behind my waist through a Chain d'Ancre ring so it wouldn't just be a floppy tie. See above for the "construction" instructions...

Thank you on all three counts @Karenska!
This is a great look especially with the cool shoes.

I don’t see prize ribbon at all, it’s very colorful and a great playful look! Thalassa is a great design.

You look very elegant!!

Superb and inspired styling! I like that looser arrangement, is there a name for that knot? Or is it a general knot just tied carefully so that the tails drape ‘right’?
Thanks! I just pulled one tail from the slip knot and turned the scarf!

Today was a really good day! I logged a personal best in 50m sprint at the pool, where I encountered a friend who decided to get back into swimming having been inspired by my social media posts about my swimming progress and my hopes that someone who was thinking about swimming would give it a try for its phenomenal health benefits.

They did! That was so rewarding. Incredible pep in my step to start the day, and then my DD went out to lunch with me at a swanky place I know she doesn't care for but she knows I adore all because I must have said the right thing at the right time. Teenagers can be a challenge. At lunch we got to really, really talk and it was just the best icing on the cake of a wonderful day.

And I got to wear this 70 before it gets too hot for the summer. Rendez-vous Gallant, which I picked because of the pairs of animals / lovers and the MONKEYS! So adorable. Taking it off, I noticed the sweetest detail -- above where the brand appears is a little arrow heart carved into the tree trunk.

And then next to it, one of the only animals on the scarf that doesn't have a pair. So strange. Maybe its pair is the cat on the opposing side, maybe a little game of cat and mouse, foes not friends. I would love to know the artist's inspiration for those two not being paired off. Well with feathers like that hanging off its apparent ears, it got my attention! Having no idea about this bird, I googled to learn more, and woah boy! This bird is out of this world. It's called a King of Saxony bird of paradise and those feathers are totally that long and articulated and look simultaneously super fragile and strong AF with the way it whips them around in its mating display. This bird resides in Papua New Guinea and if you're brave enough to hear its call, prepare yourself for what seems like a rendez-vous with some space alien! That is exactly what this bird sounds like.

Best comment: Are we sure this bird isn't an alien?
Kind of makes one wonder!

Thank you! I have used only the first one "Robe Dos-Nu" with 140 silks, pareos and even a csgm. Here with Figure Artistique pareo and Kawa Ora CSGM (in that case I used a ring instead of just twisting the fabric).

Oh wow! This is inspiring! And flawless execution of the two scarves :ps:
This could be a late post for last week's theme. I have had this scarf on my mind for the longest time as it evokes wonderful memories of staying in estancias with gauchos in Argentina, fazendas in Brazil or the encounter with these chagras in Andean Ecuador.

While it did not arrive in time for horse week, it works for contrasting color week too I believe. I was not even sure this cw existed in real as I only saw it on Pinterest only once, so I was delighted to find it!

Introducing my scarf mail Dans les branches de l'ombu with the beautiful grey and red contrast.

I ended up wearing it this way

Absolutely stunning! I’m so happy you found it in your colorway. Because believe me, it’s your colorway!
Aaaaaaaaaaa so hot!! I’m currently recovering from a trip outside to pick up a friend’s car at a Home Depot parking lot (long story). I put on a high contrast but low warmth SOTD and popped out to the porch to take a very quick photo before retreating back into the air conditioning. View attachment 6191946
Popped out the porch, couldn’t be more true. A pop is all we got in this heat wave 🫠
today with Marwari dipdye

Ohhh this is a perfect style look :hbeat: Love this green

It’s been too hot to wear scarves this week so I’m sharing one of my favourite scarves (archive): Le Potager Extraordinaire with a contrast colour. Please, weather, cool down so I can wear this beauty again.

It looks so good with the orange! I need more color wheel work to make outfits like this. And I hear that plea to cool down to wear a beauty. Brutal

I wish you could see my face when I watched and listened to the video. It was like a cartoon. What sounds!! So cool that this is on rendez vous.
And that sounds like a really great day! I’ll have to check some of your older posts I missed for your swimming. I might need to be inspired to do laps again. N I think the only time I have great convos with my teen (singular now yikes!) and adult son is when we go out to eat. It would be my advice to all the young parents is to plan the budget to go out to eat once a week with the teens. They really do open up the best for whatever reason.

Thank you for the moussie overdress photo, LKB. As I have the same, this is a great inspiration. 😍

You look very elegant!!! And it’s a great way to admire the majority of a design. I’m hoping to loose a little weight soon so I can pull this off. My waist is not quite tiny enough for the 35” side to tie comfortably around.

As others have shared, absolutely perfect with that necklace! Love it.

Marvelous oranges!!! You look lovely.

It’s chilly there???!!! I am so jealous. And also of your SD, which proves elusive for me.

Amazing looks, all 3! I suppose I might be tall enough to do this… will have to try at some point perhaps. I esp love the blue cw you have of this design.

Superb and inspired styling! I like that looser arrangement, is there a name for that knot? Or is it a general knot just tied carefully so that the tails drape ‘right’?

What a wonderful set of examples of different ways to use black!!! I need to save some of these off. I’m not very creative with black most of the time I think. Usually I just pair it with deep green or a vivid pink. Love the kitties too!

Yummy jewel tones!!!! Never will get tired of seeing jewel tone outfits. And yes that hem is chef’s kiss.
Hello Jereni, thank you for your comment. If you want to try this look you could "lengthen" it with a Mors ring, I think.

What a wonderful day to have, EtsyBoss, thank you for sharing! Now I have to listen to that bird… 🐦
Good morning!!

Sotd was chosen for a celebratory seminar today for Women’s acces to universities in Denmark 150 years ago. That is worth a parade. And some black and white contrasts.
Hermes parade held into place with a carefully attached brooch (needle long enough to go around the scarf - not through 😱)
View attachment 6192321 Wish you all a day of fanfares!
What a great idea to wear that scarf! Happy celebration!!

This is so beautiful with your beaded torsade, @Croisette7. I love the tropical colors. Gorgeous.

Such a beautiful green and perfect with your paisly blouse, @Croisette7.
Thank you for your nice comments, Karenska!
Oh, huge congratulations @FA73! It is a beautiful cw and so lovely styled with your jewelry. I had to have this design as my maternal grandparents were born and raised in Buenos Aires (in fact, I still have family there). I see you linked to BirkinMary's wonderful little photo essay about this scarf and its meanings for @EtsyBoss. I loved that so much I put a link to it in my scarf notes. I am so very happy you found this. We see it so rarely and it is a beautiful scarf, rich in detail, history and the gaucho traditions.

You do not look like someone braving a heat wave at all @Teaforparrots! You look fresh and chic and please tell me how you tied your gav. I love it with the mors ring but it looks so much neater than my attempts ever do...

Gosh this is a beautiful pairing @Croisette7! I am your sister with the pink Marwari DD but the green is TDF and especially with your paisley. This is such a fine example of exactly what I love about a dip dye!

Very pretty in pink @AnnaE!!! I love all the shades together...

I am with you @Karenska. For me black will always be the new black-- or the forever black, or something like that! :winkiss: I love all these looks and that litter of kittens is too cute! Your green bandana is stunning.

This is beautiful @Cookiefiend. Not just the hem but the silver, the colors and of course your signature Impossible Knot!
Thank you, LKB! so we're twins on the pink as well?

Thank you so much, Jereni!
Expert pattern mixing as always, @LKBNOLA! Such a charming scarf and those earrings are delightful. I always enjoy seeing Navajo stampings used in unexpected ways on jewelry.

Oh how fantastic, @CedarWaxWing! Is that periwinkle for the border, I hadn't seen this colorway yet. Just marvelous combined with your berry sweater.

Although I read this scarf is to do with Charlemagne's crusaders, this design captured my imagination as I have recently been turned on to T Kingfisher's books, and just finished the Paladin series. This meant that, naturally, I had to add one to my collection recently as well. Mine has a navy border and a caramel and chocolate interior with pops of jewel greens.

What a delightful find on your Aline Honorés! Your scarf looks beautiful on you, @darkstar66 and what a clever tie for particularly warm weather.

I love this color combo on you @Croisette7 and you have tied it so nicely to showcase the design.

Such soft eyes on that gorgeous horse.

What a cheerful colorway of Appaloosa des Steppes, dear @Redbirdhermes! And it works so well with that t-shirt.
Many thanks, SilkCashmereCotton!
One of my favorite designs and 2x your sister.
Which cw do you have, Maedi?
Oh wow! This is inspiring! And flawless execution of the two scarves :ps:

Absolutely stunning! I’m so happy you found it in your colorway. Because believe me, it’s your colorway!

Popped out the porch, couldn’t be more true. A pop is all we got in this heat wave 🫠

Thank you, Nomad!
