Another wonderful story and sweetest dedication to all black cats. I heard that they are sometimes met with greater hesitation at shelters because people are superstitious. Tuxedo cats seem to have an extra sweet disposition. We have a Tortoiseshell and she comes with the moody disposition 😻. You tied your grail so convincingly showing all the other sweet critters. Beautiful.
Thank you very much, Maedi! I love all cats but the black ones are the most mysterious to me.

An interesting thing to note before we’re through is that C.Vauzelles is also credited on the last designs by Charles Hallo.

I love to fold a scarf to highlight its yummy details like the charming details on a gunstock in Diane (glass scarf ring by our talented @bunnycat )

As a last minute contribution my Peuple du Vent 😊 Both Cs are underrepresented in my scarf drawer. I‘ll have to change that! A big thanks to you dear @turfnsurf for being our scarfmistress! It has been a week with so much inspiration (and new scarves on the wishlist 😂).

Thank you for a great week! You have such a beautiful collection. I have learned a lot this week too 😍
I was just replying to @LKBNOLA this week how I wished to get a different format and cw of Peuple du vent in my collection after parting with the blue CSGM. I started looking. All I can say is that I would be a much more successful person if I applied my reactivity and productivity for scarf buying to other aspects of my life 😇 (replying to work e-mails, filing my taxes 😆). So, I found the desired one and thought that was quick, but the seller was even quicker and mailed it to me at lightning speed.

So, I am happy to introduce my scarf mail at the 11th hour of the last day of Henry/Vauzelles week. I've been looking to have more orange in my collec and find this cw quite elegant. Thank you for hosting @turfnsurf, your styling of vintage and classic scarves is very inspiring and you opened my eyes to a whole new range of possibilities (not sure if that is a good thing!). Have a good weekend everyone!

Such beautiful oranges and caramels!
Hello Scarfies,
We’re in France for a month holiday and starring w Camino tomorrow morning so this is from the archives. Sorry I haven’t had the time to check the pages here.
I have to report happily that in Lyon, a few days ago, I googled if they have an H boutique and found out it was 3 min on foot from the hotel!! I thought, only Scarflandia gets this!! I got the new Katie Scott 90, it’s gorgeous.

Good evening dear Scarfies! DH and I are packing tomorrow for a ten day trip just as the last of our summer friends and family have left us. It is a good kind of happy chaos! Thank you to @turfnsurf for a marvelous week and I hope it will mean that we see more of her on this thread! I think I will finish up the week with some archive photos, if y'all will indulge me...

Thank you, LKB. Cave Felem was a lucky and unexpected find coming from a Swiss collection and unworn. There are advantages and disadvantages when you live in such a small European country, but outside of the EU. The market is very restricted, both concerning offer and demand, as someone from e.g. Germany has to pay customs fees when buying in Switzerland and thus will refrain from buying here. And inside Switzerland the demand for H scarves is quite limited. I see a lot of interesting scarves on offer constantly, e.g. atm a quite wonderful Ramage for about 220 Euro.

Thank you, @turfnsurf for a wonderful Christiane et Christine week

We carry on our Prolific Designers month with two gentlemen this week.

Delighted by Henri d’Origny & Pierre Marie

Henri d'Origny and Pierre Marie are worlds apart artistically. d'Origny's scarf designs are elegant exercises in swooping curves and symmetry. Pierre Marie's works are fantastical and wildly imaginative. Both however are masters in delighting the eye and they belong to the select group of Hermes designers who create more than just scarves. If you own a d'Origny Arceau watch or you've visited the VIP room at Hermes Vienna with its custom design by Pierre Marie, let us know!

I have some d'Origny designs on my wishlist. Sadly, I have not encountered a cw which seizes my heart yet for these designs, so my selection of his scarves is rather small. This is one of my few d'Origny designs. Tatersale reissued as a gav.
PicsArt_11-11-06.10.53.webp

Tatersale was originally issued in the 1980s. This blue cw is a special edition issued for the late Queen Elizabeth II's 90th birthday.

Pierre Marie has been designing H scarves for around 15 years. He was at a Carre Club event in China before the pandemic, and the H China website posted a lovely interview with him describing how he started collaborating with H.

One of my favourite scarves by Pierre Marie is this green and grey cw of Sous l'Egide de Mars. I have to confess that it was bobbing up and down my wishlist for some time. Then H decided to re-issue the design and I realized that I didn't like any of the new cws. It gave me quite the impetus to search for and buy the cw I wanted.

I know we have Pierre Marie fans here, but do take a look at your collex. You may find that you have a classic by d'Origny too!
