Such fun and so very summery!Thank you! I have used only the first one "Robe Dos-Nu" with 140 silks, pareos and even a csgm. Here with Figure Artistique pareo and Kawa Ora CSGM (in that case I used a ring instead of just twisting the fabric).

A stunning look - bright orange (vermillion?) and the strong grey are perfect. What a beautiful design, I must check it out. Gorgeous styling, jewelry , scarf and blouse.Congratulations.This could be a late post for last week's theme. I have had this scarf on my mind for the longest time as it evokes wonderful memories of staying in estancias with gauchos in Argentina, fazendas in Brazil or the encounter with these chagras in Andean Ecuador.

It may be scorching but you look fresh as anything, @Teaforparrots, with your beautifully folded scarf and nice hair style. Just lovely.Aaaaaaaaaaa so hot!! I’m currently recovering from a trip outside to pick up a friend’s car at a Home Depot parking lot (long story). I put on a high contrast but low warmth SOTD and popped out to the porch to take a very quick photo before retreating back into the air conditioning. View attachment 6191946
Thank you! yes, it is vermilion and a lighter orange. There is a green cw with black and white stripes/checks that you find appealing and mentioned today in your postA stunning look - bright orange (vermillion?) and the strong grey are perfect. What a beautiful design, I must check it out. Gorgeous styling, jewelry , scarf and blouse.Congratulations.
Inspired use of the ring!
Thank you @Lellabelle and @darkstar66. I did find a photo of a 140 moussie as an overdress. I can't figure out how to get both my face and my feet in the mirror but my DD helped blur the messy background so I am not embarrassed to share!Thank you for showing, LKBNOLA. I love both styles. Must try!
Thank you, I am glad you like it, twin! Kawa Ora was the second CSGM I ever bought from the H.Com website (along with Peuple du Vent in marine/gris chiné). I could not find a 90 that I loved for me and I was very inspired by @Croisette7 on the shawl. It continues to be a favorite @FA73 💙 💚I did not know we were twins on the Kawa Ora and this is a fabulous way to wear it! Thanks for the inspiration!
Thank you @Croisette7! You were my inspiration to get that cw!Love the Kawa Ora version ... très chic!
Thank you, sweetheart! I believe you have a beautiful pink JL dipdye-- do I remember correctly @Cookiefiend? And thank you for the Halter Idea love, toolove love love the dip dye look - that's gorgeous!
oooooo they are perfect together - a great contrast! How do you fasten it in the center tho?
I love the idea of this... just knot sure I could pull it off.
(and I'm knot sure there's enough fabric!)
OMG, @EtsyBoss! Thank you so much for this enthusiastic response. I am glad you enjoyed my fun scarf play. My 24 year-old granddaughter was visiting this weekend and she thought it would be a good look for an art gallery opening. I think I would want to stand with my back to a wall (not far from you among the plants!) although I did neaten up the look by pulling the ends behind my waist through a Chain d'Ancre ring so it wouldn't just be a floppy tie. See above for the "construction" instructions...Wow ! ! ! @LKBNOLA - I'm gobsmacked with the stunning success of your bold experiment. You have utterly nailed coastal chic and I love it all, hands down, double high fives and all of that! Both for your relaxed low key, care free joie de vivre styling of your two Isolas and for your serious Main Character Energy! I'm imagining your character in an impossibly stylish resort in New England sipping champagne out of turn of the century coups at a fabulous 4th of July party. I'm in the back hiding behind some plants trying to figure out how you held those two pieces together in the front.
Adventures in Scarfing. What an inventive look with the scarf halter. I think you look very tropical and fresh. I can see them with a flowy or pencil white skirt, too. Love your “you” toes, too. You have so many lovely blouses, Lkb.
Love both looks but that dip dye is stunning. I don’t own a dip dye but I have always hoped to stumble on one. Thank you for your compliments.
Thank you on all three counts @Karenska!Such fun and so very summery!
Oh, huge congratulations @FA73! It is a beautiful cw and so lovely styled with your jewelry. I had to have this design as my maternal grandparents were born and raised in Buenos Aires (in fact, I still have family there). I see you linked to BirkinMary's wonderful little photo essay about this scarf and its meanings for @EtsyBoss. I loved that so much I put a link to it in my scarf notes. I am so very happy you found this. We see it so rarely and it is a beautiful scarf, rich in detail, history and the gaucho traditions. This could be a late post for last week's theme. I have had this scarf on my mind for the longest time as it evokes wonderful memories of staying in estancias with gauchos in Argentina, fazendas in Brazil or the encounter with these chagras in Andean Ecuador.

Gosh this is a beautiful pairing @Croisette7! I am your sister with the pink Marwari DD but the green is TDF and especially with your paisley. This is such a fine example of exactly what I love about a dip dye!
Very pretty in pink @AnnaE!!! I love all the shades together...Hi, scarf friends! Just a pink outfit today with my Vinci. Hard to find matching jewelry, so I am wearing my RG earrings to go with the RGHW in the bracelet. Pink flats as well.

I am with you @Karenska. For me black will always be the new black-- or the forever black, or something like that! You all are showing off some wonderfully inventive and chic looks in the service to our fun contrast/complement theme. I hope to personally respond to your shots and comments in a bit but for now I’d like to expand on a style that I mentioned on Sunday - black and white with pops of color. As I mentioned, I never met a foundational black look that I don’t love. Black and white, black on black, black with color, greys and black, black-white patterns/stripes/florals, and black or b-w accents. Theyball work for me. I do not subscribe to Auntie Mame’s dictum “Black’s always so safe. That’s what’s the trouble with it.” Yes, it can be safe and conservative but it can also be edgy, cool, and super, super elegant. I love black so much that I am almost always drawn to scarf cws that have some black or black and white in the mix. So many of my scarf choices reflect this.

This is beautiful @Cookiefiend. Not just the hem but the silver, the colors and of course your signature Impossible Knot!Thinking this morning about contrast - I usually go for a tone on tone look, or a Look At These Colors look, but today I have them both goin’ on.
Navy top and skirt, marine scarf - but Marine/Vert/Fuchsia - for the lookie here!
Mythiques Phoenix Coloriage. Brilliant colors, contrasting with the white and blue center - AND - the stunning silver limn-ing (is that a word - I dunno) around everything in the marine border.
Magical!

I picked up a vintage 27 inch square cotton Thalassa a while back, and tried pairing it today with my new Thalassa cotton twilly. I may need to rethink this, as I feel like I'm wearing a prize ribbon of some sort.

Hello,
Wanted to experiment with 2 scarves of the same colour family and tried this sort of wrap skirt. One scarf tied at the waist, then on top the other one, tied at the opposite side. It is rather safe when standing or dancing, but for sitting...🤣View attachment 6191324View attachment 6191325View attachment 6191326

Sorry to be off theme, but here are some Sweet Dreams for a chilly day (at last).

I very rarely wear two scarves together. Just a quick review of mod shots indicates that I've worn a gav with a CSGM one time, a 70 with a GT one time, a 90 under a CSGM a few times and double twillies or double gavs just two or three times each. I am nowhere near as creative as our lovely @darkstar66 who has been knocking double scarf styling out of the park, but years ago I did try a Mai Tai halter tie with two 70s. @Karenska's week is the perfect theme to indulge in some experimentation so I decided to try it with two 90s instead. They are folded in a triangle, joined slightly above center, tied behind the neck and then behind the back. I don't know how to take a decent mirror selfie so I split the look into two photos. It is pretty dramatic and very long-- especially on one as height-challenged as yours truly. But it could be fun if one were younger, taller and braver...

I did say "experiment" right? Just wanted to be clear. As Polonius said to Laertes, "To thine own self be true." Well that is useful advice and "mine own" true scarf self is more likely to be found wearing these beauties like this...one of these is my SOTD!

Expert pattern mixing as always, @LKBNOLA! Such a charming scarf and those earrings are delightful. I always enjoy seeing Navajo stampings used in unexpected ways on jewelry.Ok, y'all. We are heading out to meet some friends for Mexican food (well, fish tacos, anyway) and then we might do a little line dancing. Oh how fantastic, @CedarWaxWing! Is that periwinkle for the border, I hadn't seen this colorway yet. Just marvelous combined with your berry sweater.I haven't been wearing any scarves this week, but wanted to at least share an archived shot of a scarf I picked up this winter that I am excited about. This is Le Triomphe du Paladin by Julia ABade and this shot was taken before it went off to Tiecrafters for a sprucing-up and tag reattachment. This could also have worked for @Redbirdhermes week of scarves and gems. I think I saw that @Croisette7 may have posted another colorway?

What a delightful find on your Aline Honorés! Your scarf looks beautiful on you, @darkstar66 and what a clever tie for particularly warm weather.Hello and good morning,
Increasingly hot, no scarf weather really. 🥵 This morning a horse as some sort of accessory I think. I looked at my small collection of Aline Honorés, but I think she didn't draw many horses, or did she?

Okay - that JL moussie over the olive tank dress is inspired - fabulous!Thank you everyone for your very tactful reception of my Scarf Adventure. It was fun to play around!
For @Cookiefiend and @EtsyBoss, I joined the two scarves with a medium sized CdA (shown below). You can make a knot, but I found that bulky and I worried that it would work itself loose (horrors!). Here is also a photo of the look with two 70s. For me, I am not small enough to join the 70s in the back with a knot. I had to use a Mors ring to get the extra inches. That's just more fuss and bother than I can handle...

Thanks sweetie!I don’t see prize ribbon at all, it’s very colorful and a great playful look! Thalassa is a great design.
You look very elegant!!! And it’s a great way to admire the majority of a design. I’m hoping to loose a little weight soon so I can pull this off. My waist is not quite tiny enough for the 35” side to tie comfortably around.
As others have shared, absolutely perfect with that necklace! Love it.
Marvelous oranges!!! You look lovely.
It’s chilly there???!!! I am so jealous. And also of your SD, which proves elusive for me.
Amazing looks, all 3! I suppose I might be tall enough to do this… will have to try at some point perhaps. I esp love the blue cw you have of this design.
Superb and inspired styling! I like that looser arrangement, is there a name for that knot? Or is it a general knot just tied carefully so that the tails drape ‘right’?
What a wonderful set of examples of different ways to use black!!! I need to save some of these off. I’m not very creative with black most of the time I think. Usually I just pair it with deep green or a vivid pink. Love the kitties too!
Yummy jewel tones!!!! Never will get tired of seeing jewel tone outfits. And yes that hem is chef’s kiss.
Thank you so much! It is truly an amazing scarf - we are twins too - yes?Oh, huge congratulations @FA73! It is a beautiful cw and so lovely styled with your jewelry.
