Hello and good morning,
Me and CSGM, that's a love affair, if however a somewhat delayed one. I received my first in 1990, as a Christmas present. It was a Brins d'Or by Julia Abadie. I would look at it, admire it and then put it back into the cupboard. It was somehow too much for me, too much fabric, too precious, too expensive, perhaps also too classic and, yes, too bourgeois to me. 🤭 For the next 30 years I wore it perhaps 5 times. I preferred Kenzo wool shawls which seemed more modern and I gathered a small collection of those. In 2019 I saw a Piqué Fleuri de Provence CSGM and bought it and since then...the love affair was fuelled to bonfire dimensions. :yahoo:View attachment 6165651

Such stunning colours! I love CSGM as well.

SOTD is the Luxembourg SE of Precious Paradise, cw Indigo/bleu/vert. I still have to find the difference between this one and the regular cw bleu jean/vert/orange, besides the mention of the charity for which this SE was issued, but the fact of it being an SE made me buy it.

Greetings from a beautiful spring day in Amsterdam! Days like this one are precious.

Such a pretty colorway! I love it and Vondel park as well ☺️

There are not many rules for me, only some regarding special formats. Over the years I learned that twillies and gavroches tended to live in my closet but rarely were worn. I bought them because I really liked them being so cute. But I sold them all. I never really had good ideas how to style them. Plissées and Moussies scarcely made an appearance. I kept only one of each kind, all the others over the years found a new home. So 90 silks, bandanas and every type of cashmere-silk are those I wear. There are no rules regarding no doubles or something like that. If I love a design, I go all in! Looking at you Pélages et Camouflages (four! 🤭)
Wishing you all a beautiful May Day! And @LKBNOLA I hope you don’t leave us alone for too long! We would miss you very much! :hugs:
My scarf of yesterday was Mythes et Métamorphoses. Over the last few years I try to collect also matching Hermès jewelry like Clics, Behapis and necklaces.
Another slippery orange slope 😂

Good morning!!!

Sotd is Douze Leopards.
Two connected rules:
Always consider double face designs
Always consider big cats.

Another rule I live by: do not wear socks or stockings from may to september. Hence yesterday my feet were made presentable, my nails are now shiny purple/pink and my toes are wriggling with joy in open green sandals. Oh freedom!!
And it is Friday!! :yahoo: :drinks:

Much to be happy about in an otherwise rather flawed time. Another joy is this forum. Thank you for always being supportive, funny, sensible and lovers of beauty!

Have a happy feet Friday!!

Would love to see a photo of rule 3 in practice. 🤣

Forgive the double post today, friends! After tomorrow, I will be absent from Scarflandia for a time. Even though I still will wear my scarves every day, real life demands are going to require a hiatus from my daily participation on this thread. You are all so nice to indulge my rambling burblings and babblings-- I will miss the eye candy and the fun and hope to stop by as I can.
Meantime, when I began collecting, I organized my acquisitions by artist-- it was just a way to lend some order to what was otherwise often just "Acute Scarf Acquisition Syndrome." Recently I completed all the designs I wanted of an artist whose whimsical style and charming subject matter really resonated with me. My five older grandchildren have each pursued music, dance and riding passions and I chose these so that I would always have the appropriately-themed design to wear to their concerts, shows, recitals and events. And since I love being a spectator/attendee, Soiree de Gala, the last one in my Clerc "family" is also perfect!

Best wishes @LKBNOLA ! Hope to see you again soon in here!!

Hello and good morning,
There are some restrictions as to what I will wear when it comes to patterns or designs. I will NEVER EVER wear patterns with checked patterns, Vichy or Tartan, it looks ridiculous on me. AnnaE showed a magnificent L'Art du Sarasa lately, impossible for me because of patches of Vichy. Same for Paisley Blossom: checked patterns. As for formats, no smaller format than 90 for me, but I have 2 exceptional gavroches which I couldn't resist. I shy away from horses or horse related themes but I have some Jan B.s of course. Same for any military theme and Classics in general although these older scarves are often masterpieces in their craftsmanship.1000023090.webp

Beautifully coordinated, is it Baobab? I passed on this and on Sarasa bc the big cat in the flower and the checked kitchen towel. But Anna's knot is so chic styled without it.
