Gloire de la Guillaume technically was me breaking my rules, bc it has a big prominent border, in a color that I worried was too ‘vif’ for me. But I was silly to hesitate! It’s glorious (see what I did there…)

@Jereni, this is glorious indeed and you have shown the importance of a well curated jewelry collection to compliment our scarves. Double glorious!

I normally try to avoid adding beige and brown scarves to my collection. But when it's an Xavier de Poret at a fabulous price, then exceptions will be made.

Les Biches is my scarf of the day.

We planted some garden center geraniums this morning with help from GS. (Before I put on my scarf, that is.) He loved digging in the dirt. "Dirt and water makes mud!" I see he added more plant identifiers after I had cleaned up.

I am right there with you. Brown is not my favorite color, but I make exceptions for good designers and designs

Oh this is lovely on you, @CoastalCouture. And I can see it getting lots of wear, with similar colours (but a very different design and scale) to your beautiful Botanica.

@Lellabelle, Your comment got me thinking just how similar they are. They are probably the two best matching scarves I have, in that I could wear them together. Bottes has caramel, tan, a lot of darker blue, and little bits of black. Botanica Grafica has more white and a silvery sage colour on the reverse. I think what is interesting is that the colours tell the story that the two scarves are from the same season.

Here they are together:

I’ve dithered over this scarf for years - wanted it as a memento of a lifetime dream come through when visiting the tapestry, but unable to commit to a CW - too many blue scarves already, and unsure of how becoming the others would be - seeing this I’m back with Team Blue:-) - In love with your scattered diamond bracelet😍

Very nice pair of scarves, CC. Last year about this time I hosted Two of a Kind Week, and called these Identical Cousins in honor of The Patty Duke Show. We like what we like, and I love how this tendency shows up in different people’s collections.

Hello and good morning,
Me and CSGM, that's a love affair, if however a somewhat delayed one. I received my first in 1990, as a Christmas present. It was a Brins d'Or by Julia Abadie. I would look at it, admire it and then put it back into the cupboard. It was somehow too much for me, too much fabric, too precious, too expensive, perhaps also too classic and, yes, too bourgeois to me. 🤭 For the next 30 years I wore it perhaps 5 times. I preferred Kenzo wool shawls which seemed more modern and I gathered a small collection of those. In 2019 I saw a Piqué Fleuri de Provence CSGM and bought it and since then...the love affair was fuelled to bonfire dimensions. :yahoo:View attachment 6165651
A beautiful shawl and delightful story.

Happy May Day, Scarflandia! Thank you to everyone for your good wishes! And a very big thank you to @Agrume for leading us in this interesting week and a big wave and hug to all, here are two more blues. Let's see if I can connect them to the theme

I should have a stamped ticket on the ferry to Ban Island when it comes to 70s. I find them so easy to wear and many are just plain fun. I had said no more for 2025. But when a scarf featuring the actual dogs of Hermès employees auditioning in cute Petite H items shows up AND it is blue, what's a scarf-loving dog mom supposed to do? Break a rule, of course!
My SOTD is Jour de Casting

And finally, sharing a grail mousseline I acquired last winter. My relationship status with this format is definitely "It's Complicated." I think the moussies are very beautiful but I do not find them that easy to wear and pair. I do have rules for this format-- limiting myself to personal grails and few in number. I was overjoyed to find this beautiful Urashima Taro in the cw I wanted at a decent grail price. So far, I have only looked at it in wonder, but sharing today as I have new rule in place which is to have a photo of every piece once it arrives!

Urashima Taro is luminous in these wonderful blues. Congratulations! The dog design was a necessity 🤓😉❤️

There are not many rules for me, only some regarding special formats. Over the years I learned that twillies and gavroches tended to live in my closet but rarely were worn. I bought them because I really liked them being so cute. But I sold them all. I never really had good ideas how to style them. Plissées and Moussies scarcely made an appearance. I kept only one of each kind, all the others over the years found a new home. So 90 silks, bandanas and every type of cashmere-silk are those I wear. There are no rules regarding no doubles or something like that. If I love a design, I go all in! Looking at you Pélages et Camouflages (four! 🤭)
Wishing you all a beautiful May Day! And @LKBNOLA I hope you don’t leave us alone for too long! We would miss you very much! :hugs:
My scarf of yesterday was Mythes et Métamorphoses. Over the last few years I try to collect also matching Hermès jewelry like Clics, Behapis and necklaces.
Another slippery orange slope 😂

Apologies for being absent yesterday - one of my PhD students had her public defence (she did excellently), and we had colleagues staying over for this event. I will feel as HermesEchidna did this week in 10 days when I'll have a reasonably normal work week...

yellow is very much "in" at the moment, nice scarf!

thank you, LKBNOLA! congratulations on your Urashima Taro. I share your feelings when trying to master the amount of mousseline in a 140 scarf (and your enthousiasm for the 70 size, too). Your birds and grand-children themed scarfs are exquisite. We will miss you and I hope you are OK, take care.

what a serene colour combination, CoastalCulture!

Stars and other celestial objects are always tempting! beautiful, Maedi!

Thank you - and no, not sure there were 2 different colour ways with this white hem.

Fabulous choice for yesterday, HermesEchidna! love these colours for SD. You must get up extra early to have these try outs.
And the green of today is perfect for May 1st!

Two gorgeous colour ways, and both perfectly paired, Darkstar!

I completely understand - will show something comparable in an instant. beautiful red!

This purple scarf is so nice - and love the pink MP. And I adore this Brazil with the blue feathers, and a blue bracelet to match!

This green jacket is a great backdrop for your scarf, Jacq1!

Love this on you, Jereni! Another example of purple and yellow being a great colour combination!

Well, scarfluenced is describing perfectly what's happening here, Lellabelle. This scarf is a wonderful match with your blazer!

This is master styling, KatharinaLuise! Blue and orange are always winners.
Thank you and congratulations to your student who learned from the best.

SOTD is the Luxembourg SE of Precious Paradise, cw Indigo/bleu/vert. I still have to find the difference between this one and the regular cw bleu jean/vert/orange, besides the mention of the charity for which this SE was issued, but the fact of it being an SE made me buy it.

Greetings from a beautiful spring day in Amsterdam! Days like this one are precious.
