Oh, I missed y'all too @darkstar66! This thread is definitely a happy place for me-- a bridge over troubled waters to quote the song. But my family made a deal that when we travel we will unplug and focus on the time and experience together and that was beautiful too. I crack my own self up with funny images so I am glad they bring a smile!I'm aware only now how much I missed your funny, witty, well reflected observations when you were on vacation.
Thank you @EtsyBoss for the tip. I will add my voice to the chorus of hosannas for this combo! And what a GReat GReen picotin!Still had my green Tigre Royal out and was inspired to try it again, this time with a green tee for a casual lunch out. My green bag matched perfectly! Win win! I am in love with this scarf more now then ever thanks to inspiration from @darkstar66

(p.s. @LKBNOLA the key to my bag shots if this is what you had hinted about is to put the bag on the floor and hold the camera lens high but angled down then pick a spot to stand with the bag in view to get the snap)
Wow. Stunning on your white jacket @Lellabelle! This says it all...Following in my twin @Redbirdhermes’ footsteps today for yellow. And what a happy, sunny yellow it is!

I wore this Les clés bandana in my hair but couldn’t take a picture. The woven in dots and subtly dotted hems are charming.View attachment 6162726
Thank you @Maedi. That Esope is my smile guarantee this season. I just look at it and feel happy! I love the texture on your bandana and wish H still did this more. I liked the technique so much on my new cotton Thalassa because it is pretty on both sides.Wow, what an array of beautiful greens. Loving livre and am also very smitten with it, PP is fabulous and cardigan/scarf combo a power success.
Thank you so much @Lellabelle-- it was nice to go back and review your week-- so much work and excellent tips and advice concisely and beautifully shared. I think I tiptoed into green with a few vintage finds (Royal Mews, Theatre d'Ombres) and a few CCPs (Lab du Temps in vert anthracite, for example) but the last few seasons, starting with the Chorus Stellarum bandana (I think you have the beautiful black one?) then green Brandebourg Fleuris, Vallee de Cristal and some CSGMs too has definitely upped the percentage of green in my scarf closet...You’ve gathered quite the enviable collection of greens, @LKBNOLA Love the knit jacket - such a pretty shade and texture. I will concur with the group and say that the long tie is my favourite. It’s extremely well balanced.
We missed you last week, and I’m so happy you’re getting in on the fun!

I would say, this is a nice improvement because 1. Scarves tend to weigh less and take less packing space than books so you can pack quite a few in comparison and 2. You can now read AND wear a variety of scarves which seems to me a huge improvement in life quality.😄 All you have shown is beautiful but the Samourai shawl on the green patterned blouse is TDF, a very very clever mixing.😍I am heading down to New Orleans this week to host a few dear friends for Jazz Fest this year. The weather will be in the high 80s and my activities range from hot and dusty Fair Ground music venues to chilly restaurants, a benefit, a board meeting and more! So I have packed an array of things. Back in the day before Kindles and EBooks, I used to travel with a big bag of books (wanted options, wanted to always have something to read). Now I travel with a tiny Kindle reader and a bag full of scarves (want the options, always want something to wear)
But I wanted to complete my ROYBGIV before the theme week ends so here are my remaining colors from archive or recent shots:
Orange: Flaneries à Versailles-- my first orange H scarf, a souvenir of a mother-daughter trip

Indigo: My only indigo scarf, Ors Bleu d'Afrique

Violet: With huge appreciation to @Croisette7, @Living.la.vida.fifi and @Nomad for the inspiration to hunt this beauty and to @LeneCPH for the powerful assist and enablement, Parures de Samouraïs (cw10).

My DH is not a big fan of pattern mixing (he makes an exception for stripes) so this is my planned SOTE. Thank you for letting me complete my rainbow!
Thank you @LKBNOLA A white blazer is easy background for most any scarf. It’s like a cheat code for ones that are tricky to style (not that this one is difficult). A plain white tee or white shirt/blouse does the same job.Oh, I missed y'all too @darkstar66! This thread is definitely a happy place for me-- a bridge over troubled waters to quote the song. Wow! That special Grand Tralala is so gorgeous. Good colors in yours as well. I remember admiring them on the website some time ago and seeing some green/blue combos. Your scarf is most fitting for rainbow week here, as it glides from red into orange. Not wearing per se, but so excited by my new Luxury Bag LED Scarf display. I love that I can utilize my scarves as artwork in my home now! I wish I got it sooner. Today’s display is my Grand Tralala workshop 90. I just love the special dying technique they used on this one.

I hear you about orange being tricky, but you style this perfectly - it’s so great with the glasses! And you look incredible sans maquillage - what I would give to look this fresh without the assistance of makeup!Hello,
Orange is not my very best friend. I know that it is complementary to blue, in my case blue eyes, but since my hair changed from chestnut to grey I have to be careful what shade of orange I wear, the bold ones tend to make me very pale. Of course I could change that by wearing makeup but I don't, not even tinted day care, only a good day cream. But I wear lipstick or more precisely mostly lip gloss. This orange suits me well I think and of course the design is my very favourite one, Jaguar Quetzal.View attachment 6162877
You look smashing on vaca @LKBNOLA! Loving your look.Dear Scarfies, wishing a very Happy Easter to everyone who celebrates! My family and I are still ensconced on a beautiful island paradise, winding down our vacation so I have not seen all your wonderful posts from Power Week-- looking forward to catching up a bit next week after I head home and before I take off again for Jazz Fest in New Orleans. I am liking and loving what I have seen today! The one silk 90 I brought with me has been perfect for the week and for today-- lots of happy birds (and I see sisters with @FA73 and several others here 🧡 )

It’s already Friday of Color Week already and I’m just catching up! Perhaps I’ll have some archived photos to post as I am away from most of my scarves.Thank you, @Lellabelle for a wonderful week of hosting
This week, we have an Easter-appropriate theme.
🌈 🌈 🌈 🌈 🌈
Rainbow Connection: 7 days, 7 colours
or wear your most colourful scarves
Wear ROYGBIV in sequence or go rogue like I intend to! I'm going to do the sequence in reverse just for fun!
You can also extend this week's theme - so many of you chose colourful scarves to make an impression
Violet - my first colour for the week
There are a great many shades of violet, although the flower by that name comes first to my mind when I think of violet.
On the right, my favourite cw of Grande Marine in shades of purple and violet on a navy base.
On the left is the delightful cw of Acte III which uses a lavender purple as an accent colour for the backdrop and clouds.

When I googled violet to make sure my idea of the colour was correct, wikipedia described a vivid shade of violet (electric violet) as the closest that the computer screen could get to that colour. It certainly reminds me of several scarves I have. My first encounter with this colour was quite comical. I opened my scarf mail, took one look at the scarf and closed the box. It was eye-wateringly bright! It took me several months to work up the courage to wear Mosaique au 24. (I'm much braver now)

Three of my phoenixes have purple in the design.
One is a gav. The colours of the main motif are rather sombre but the purple border is a lovely pop of colour.

Soft purple-violet birds and orchids peep out from the foliage in Au Coeur de la Vie. I waited a long time to acquire this as it was always too expensive for my bank to accept.

Ich Dien: One of my favourite designs with ombre tones of purple, violet and lilac.

Tomorrow, I'll show an indigo scarf which was so so enabled by a sister scarfie!
Happy Easter, everyone! 🌈
@EtsyBoss Don't you just adore this one, Twin? It looks fantastic on you and I must try to duplicate your tie which cleverly shows the crazed tiger!A little bit of RED for the R in ROYGBIV and a crossover from last week with another animal totem: Tiger! I'm the Year of the Tiger in Chinese Astrology. People born in the Year of the Tiger are believed to be confident, energetic, and bold, with a determined spirit and a strong work ethic which holds up. I love how horoscopes encourage a healthy bit of confirmation bias!
