We were just discussing this "B Side" of your beautiful double face Botanica Grafica @CoastalCouture and I think this is a lovely styling!I have just 5 scarves with me for my stay on the east coast. I've already shared my best rainbow scarf more than once this week, so I reviewed the situation and found that I could offer up a green scarf, the quiet side of the lovely Botanica Grafica double face for today's SOTD.

Your Complication Equestre is so beautiful on you @LKBNOLA - that shade of green is serene and confident. I love it against your sage shoulder pad jacket. As for which knot is more powerful, I'll share one perspective from my knowledge of nonverbal behavior - of which sartorial style is but one way to communicate. Among people (and perhaps for other hierarchically organized social animals), the 'boss' in a group is said to be more allowed to 'let it all hang out' whereas subordinates have to keep it all buttoned up. So, if you want to exude boss vibes, wearing a scarf more casually alongside a business suit may better signal that.In the words of lovable Kermit the frog,

And I experienced a variation of that this morning when I tried to select which Green to post today. So I am making my Green life easier by opting for a this or that and y'all can decide!
Precious Paradise was on deck for the week-- first up is the "white cw" but gosh, there's a whole lot of Green going on! Plus,
our fearless scarf mistress posted her preferred (but not yet obtained) PP cw-- the "khaki" so I thought of that...BUT, there is also Le Livre d'Esope, which I am smitten by and has swoony greens patches too...

But I was having some FOMO over missing all of @Lellabelle's power week so I finally decided on the vert anthracite of Complication Equestre, shown in two ties on a knit jacket/sweater with buttons and yes, shoulder "pads"...can't decide but I think the longer tie is more "power" than the collar one?

It was a summer-like day yesterday. I wanted to wear a lot of colors and played with the scarf to knot it not too close to my neck.
First like this to show the green and yellow

And then a necklace, my favorite way to wear a scarf when it's hot

Here is my contribution for yellow - this d’Orphee is prob the yellowest scarf I own. And ironically this one may be eclipsing the rust and green one as my favorite of this design… the contrasts are just so nice and the yellow and blue seems so fitting for the design’s celestial vibe.

Thank you @EtsyBoss, that is a good visual mnemonic-- I remember this vaguely from days when I was an actual boss, but after my retirement and "second act" over a decade ago, I took up work that demands the opposite of projecting power. Confidence, fun, inspiration all ok but I now need an inclusive, nurturing, fun and motivational vibe for teaching and facilitating in the creative field whereas I formerly lived and breathed in the social justice/legal/foundation world. Very very different worlds, sartorially and in many other ways, too.Your Complication Equestre is so beautiful on you @LKBNOLA - that shade of green is serene and confident. The word "cute" at my age causes me to have an intenesely unpleasant allergic reaction @CoastalCouture! So the long tails it will be!Lots of beautiful greens here, @LKBNOLA, you have some excellent choices. For Complication Equestre, I vote for the longer tie. It's lengthening and more powerful whereas the other gives off a cute vibe.
Stature/proportion for me is a big one. I sometimes tie a knot in the center of a bias fold to shorten it somewhat for the outfit I am wearing. Today's jacket is short, so I did not want tails hanging below or even at the waist. I am shrinking by the minute, it seems and pretty soon you will have to look underneath a CSGM and perhaps even a 90 to see if I am even there @xincinsin!Lovely greens, @LKBNOLA
I wonder what factors influence our ties? Our stature? Our figure? (I cannot do a waist tie as I have ... errr ... a lack of svelte) The weather? Our garments? Are longer ties more impressive than shorter? Yes,
I'm thinking about themes for 2026!
Thank you! And yes it is indeed Correspondance 😊She's so cute @EtsyBoss! Love her soulful eyes... and now dragging my own eyes from pup's sweet face to your pretty netutral styling. Amazing what the changes of light do-- I find that here as well especially in the North facing windows...
So fun to watch their antics @Maedi!
Well, I will share a green lipstick photo. Somehow my DD was able to help me rise to a challenge from @Teaforparrots to match my lipstick to my garden background last summer:

We are twins on the Mars and I posted the PP for you today! I do love the other ones you have shown @xincinsin but I share your "frenemy" status with green. I did embrace it wholeheartedly; in the last few seasons, it has been a "color crush" but some of the earlier H ghreens were not kind to me. But as you say, vintage collectors cannot always be choosy on cws, right? I think these are all splendid on you!
I know that strategy! This is Correspondances, correct @ HermesEchidna? May I kindly request titles 🙏 ? They are especially helpful in ties like this where design elements are hidden and I am a notorious title nerd... 🙇♀️
I do love yellow with blue-grey @darkstar66. I hope you feel ready to carpe the diem soon...
Gorgeous! I love the way you are able to capture and place key design elements in your necklace ties @FA73. I too favor this approach (and braids!) for hit weather scarf wearing...
Love scarf and stack here @Jereni! These colors do suit the design so well and they brighten your outfit too!
This is a yellow which is not to be trifled with @Redbirdhermes! Bold, audacious and making its own demands...

Stunning look. Twins on this scarf, but I rarely wear it. Your green top picks up the green tiger perfectly. And the fronds of color are so pretty on this design. Wonderful bag, too.Still had my green Tigre Royal out and was inspired to try it again, this time with a green tee for a casual lunch out. My green bag matched perfectly! Win win! I am in love with this scarf more now then ever thanks to inspiration from @darkstar66

(p.s. @LKBNOLA the key to my bag shots if this is what you had hinted about is to put the bag on the floor and hold the camera lens high but angled down then pick a spot to stand with the bag in view to get the snap)
Wow, what an array of beautiful greens. Loving livre and am also very smitten with it, PP is fabulous and cardigan/scarf combo a power success. In the words of lovable Kermit the frog,

Thank you so much @Lellabelle. I am only learning from the best and you are one of them. Your set of advice from a couple of years ago have been my bible and I take them to heart (here, rules #5 (play with texture) and #6 (up your knot game))

That is a good question. For me it’s stature/figure and limitations of size due to neck size. I can’t really tie the 90cm twice around my neck and be comfortable. And I prefer the scarf further away from my face so it’s usually a knotted bias fold.Lovely greens, @LKBNOLA
